  1. oh, I was so hoping to get the ninja line!!! :y: Keep my composure when it's time to get loose Magnetized by the mic while I kick my juice If there was a problem, Yo - I'll solve it! Check out the hook while Deshay revolves it. .......
  2. this was actually playing on the radio today...weird!!
  3. http://images.google.com.au/images?hl=en&a...mages&gbv=2 flasher units :bash:
  4. as in was busy steering so couldn't take a picture! But I did tell you about the flames, I'm your eye witness!!!
  5. i had a LOL moment when I saw a big black Hummer....it's plates were SLEDGE (imagine you're from NZ) LOL
  6. well I had my hands full of steering wheel whilst I was behind you! LOL
  7. OMG! i was cruising along today and this crazy old lady in a range rover (new one with personalised plates) .... hang on, what happened was I was driving along, and as I was passing her (she was going 50 in a 60 zone) just as my window got to her bumper I heard her floor it! I though oh, she's realised she's going slower than everyone else, any way through traffic I passed her again, and she caught up with me and then sped past, then slowed down, and sped up, and slowed down, I reckon she'd been to the pub....in the end (cause I know this particular stretch of road at this time) I sat behind two of the biggest, longest trucks...Oh! one of them had a sign that said "don't look important, they may be low on ammo!" I LOL'd....any way the road splits into three lanes and the trucks and buses go into the far left, so they moved over, and I moved ahead like a zillion cars ahead I got through the lights and I think she probably got through three changes later...my I gotta say WTF?! was she thinking? maybe i killed her dog in another life!
  8. knee jerk.... both the drivers were off their p plates and were in their mid twenties.....
  9. i don't know what they were thinking, there are so many "little" things that could have been done so much better, but the air intake one I think I have an idea of why they did it that way, in the na versions, the air filter (and all its attachments) were in the general direction, so rather than re-invent the wheel, they modified it best they could....re-using brackets anchor points etc., that was on the standard levin... My Air intake was a pain in the arse! bits keps vibrating off, the plastic rubbed through, a couple of mounts broke and you couldn't get them any more, it was a disaster! - but my piping had been taken off, put back on, taken off, put back on- by the previous owner. So it's possible it's not all toyota's fault... The intercooler piping, the black one on the right hand side, that thing used to sit up a fair amount (4 - 5 cms) and the bov piping came off it, we lowered the curve, widened the pipe where the bov went (it was on a reducer!) it seems they love reducers! even the original turbo and the original piping needed a reducer, from memory 54 to 36 or something like that, but regardless of all the distress and confusion, I'm still in love with my car, and she's now the way I want, ... finished ..... with the exception of two or three itsy butsy minor things that even my husband doesn't need to know about!!!!! And trev, it's a nice trophy huh?! I never got to keep that one, I was allowed to hold it for about 15 minutes then give it back ;) they didn't even give me a smaller "replica trophy" ;)
  10. there's a heap of hoo haa here in adelaide regarding that accident, it's terrible and tragic, but the bottom line is the guy's were being tools driving at those speeds on those streets, the consequences of a stupid decision has had a major impact on ALOT of peoples lives. With this accident, all P Platers, all young men in hot cars, all people with imported cars are going to feel the back-lash.... My husband and I decided with our girls that when they were driving we would do these things... 1. get them involved with their cars, get them working on them and have them have a personal investment in their car (we thought that they'd take better care of it and take less chances if they'd put in time and their money). Get them involved in a car club, with cruises etc., so they can learn about their car. 2. put them through their 50 hours, BUT ALSO back it up with driving instructor lessons. Make them drive at night, in rain, in sun, in every conceivable way we could think of that they'd encounter. 3. follow up in their first 6 months of driving a defensive driving course in THEIR car. 4. get them to do an advanced defensive driving course in the 2nd six months of them driving. 5. drive with them regularly when they got their P's just to make sure their doing everything they're supposed to. 6. NO PASSENGERS in the first 6 months of driving NO EXCEPTIONS (well except for us!) As parents we don't want our kids injured/injuring/dying on the roads.... ^^^ don't know where that all came from.... end rant.
  11. oh, yeah, this is BEFORE I started all the work...
  12. ha! there aren't any of this years....only last years freaking huge toyoshow one....hmmmm here it is...
  13. ok, vixie has had her unveiling at the Old Skool N New Age show (got another trophy for my swag!) so I can now post up the coveted pics of the engine bay, this has been a work in progress for the last year, and she's finally DONE!!!!! Ta Da!!!!!
  14. bianca took these on my camera...(stupid 2 battery camera!) will modify piccies :) oops ohhh what about the man who rocked up in his HILLMAN IMP!!! He's been building it up over the last 7 years! that thing was AWESOME! He said he saw all our cars and thought, oh, what's going on over there? and admired our cars!
  15. oh, I rescue dogs all the time! I couldn't bear it if my dog got lost and I couldn't find him, so I'm a "pro rescue puppy person" I have twice looked after a dog for the ENTIRE day, as the owner was at work and asked if I would, so I did, it was a ginormous golden lab, and it was drooling (all over my interior!), during the day the kids took him for a run, then a play, then another run, it was the dogs big day out...... it's really funny when you open the door and they just jump in! such trusting creatures....
  16. HEY! you started it!!!! .... Take heed, 'cause I'm a lyrical poet Miami's on the scene just in case you didn't know it My town, that created all the bass sound Enough to shake and kick holes in the ground .....

  19. oh, you know how most people have subs and amps in their boot? not this guy (the one in the first photo): :) OH! There was a turbo getz there too, apparently factory......but what I'm thinking is that if they released them, why would there only be 2 of them??? Unless they're a factory option....I'd like to know more about it...may have to google it sometime soon....
  20. so what time do i need to be at bunnings mile end? 11.30? you're leaving noarlunga about 11.15, about 20- mins to mile end?
  21. really great day....remember people if you do a car show, TAKE a MARQUEE, you need shade!!! There were TONS of cars, here's a few of my favourite pics!!! There were WICKED! cars, bikes, it's great to chat with owners about their cars, I had a chat with the owner of the Orange Mazda 1300, the Black Beemer and the Burgundy/Brown/Purple Falcon it's so fantastic to see the progress of their cars (the Mazda 1300) and the OCD of the Falcon owner it's so great to see their enthusiasim. And the finishing touch for the day, (I agree with Dale) as we were leaving the event organisers (2 of them) shook our hands and told us to stay safe, then a bit further the rest of the organisers thanked us for our participation and said "see ya next year!". It WAS a really great sentiment! That's one I'll remember! :)
  22. which way are you heading down, wanna swing by bunnings mile end and collect me?
