  5. most loved car.... my current rolla, she's gorgeous most hated car....my current Nissan Bluebird (aka the CRAPBird) I hate it with a vengeance, and I've hated it since before the day I bought it....
  6. WGMG?! Feeling stupid because of stupid cars.... ok, so the rolla is in getting repaired (a whole other story), and a couple of months ago I paid an unholy amount to get the crapbird fixed (the car I hate) ANYWAY I'm driving along today (it's an auto), driving along, put my foot down it chugged a bit, then it clunked a bit..... then I went around a round-a-bout and accelerated out of it and it just died, the check engine light came on, the oil and the battery, and it took me a couple of seconds to realise that the engine wasn't running, hence the reason I was slowing down...ANYWAY I popped the bonnet and really had no clue what I was looking for, but a couple of weeks ago I degreased the engine bay and I noticed that there was thick grease splattered above the CV joint and that there was no boot on the CV joint ... the car wouldn't start, it would catch, but not turn over...I was in an industrial area, in a not so sanguine area and it was getting dark, and I'm a girl....anyway I decided that bollocks waiting for the RAA and THEN for a tow truck so I told them don't send a patrol, just send a truck, ... no problems (thumbs up!) but they told me it was still going to be an hour wait (this was at 5.20pm ish). So, some time passed maybe 40 minutes , and *husbands voice pops into head* always double check that the car won't start cause you don't want to look like a dick-head... so tried to start the car, AND IT STARTED! I thought to myself that's weird...but I cancelled the RAA rang hubby, started for home...well, drove about 1/2 towards home, went around a corner, the car started chugging, I backed off and kept in the lefthand lane.. got about 400 meters up the road, stuck in traffic and it died AGAIN... I put on my hazards and some stupid cow behind me flashes her lights WTF?! so I thought, well the side street is only about 10 meters that way so I'll push the car around the corner and get it off the main road... so I pushed and pushed, almost got squished by a truck, then by a person who was trying to get around me, and a man stopped and helped me push it around the corner (BIG THANK YOU!!!) anyway rang hubby again and had a bit of a cry because I hurt my wrist when I pushed the car (it's WAY heavier than the rolla!) .......ANYWAY hubby said just get it towed and don't worry about it....so rang the RAA again (still kind of blubbering - but assuring the lady I was ok :y: ) and she decided that I needed the patrol...so I waited .... for 55 minutes......explained it to the RAA guy and he said what will happen now.... I said well now it will probably start! AND IT DID! So he got me to drive it up the road and he followed me ....and he thinks there is NO WAY it can be CV joint related, it's either fuel or electrical, I babied it all the way home, and now I'm achey and sore and tired and GRUMPY! But there's no boot on the CV joint?! OH, what doesn't grind my gears? IE8 it has spell-check built in!

  19. oh! I have some!!! The other day I was driving and saw these: For a holden, I thought it looked hawt! And then I looked over and saw this: very, very tidy :P I washed the car yesterday, took a couple of hours and when I was walking back to it I thought to myself Oh, My, Gawd! damn she looks HOT HOT HOT! gotta take a photo!* Then I had to drive over to norwood, so I thought I'd do the poser route since the car was so pretty... and came upon this at the traffic lights close up: I laughed so hard, then thought, O gotta take a photo! I'm quite certain that the L Driver was SHITTING himself, the horses were restless and kept walking backwards, not knowing horses and expecting the worst, I thought they may nudge his car or somthing...and I imagined the driving instructor saying, "now, when you come across police horses, don't honk your horn, otherwise the horses will have you! So I had a bit of an adventurous photo collecting week...
  20. ha! Yesterday I was takikng short cut through town and was going down rundle street, I was behaving myself, and a TABLE full of guys tracked my progress up the street and when I drove past them one of them pointed and all five of them turned their heads as I went past. I looked in my rear vision mirror and they were still checking out the car... I had a moment of panic...maybe somethings fallen off! then reverted to "ohhh yeaaahhhh" vixie's still got it :P
