Australian Pizza House, Saturday The 24th Of October
SoulSearcher replied to MYSTIK's topic in The Event Archive
well it seems I was the only one there... I drove up ALL the way to the top of the car park...(we got there about 7.30pm) no cars there, well there was a silver s15 and a white something or other....so we went to the pizza place (you can go out the carpark into the theatre area, and walk around, way less scary than the last time we were there....) anyhoo went and had pizza stayed til about 9.30pm and didn't see anyone else ... so headed out to glenelg for ice cream, then back to the city and didn't see ANY other rolla's :y: -

Thinking Of Buying Another Car...
SoulSearcher replied to SoulSearcher's topic in Automotive Discussion
uh my bad, its an 87 :y: and I've found one that's in near overrated, original condition....and it's a limited edition...she may never get to drive it.... :S there's nothing wrong with a corolla, but she doesn't like the look of the earlier ones, and all the really nice ones she does like are outside my budget for her. -
Thinking Of Buying Another Car...

looks sort of like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Honda-CRX-1987_W0QQ...4#ht_500wt_1182 -
Howdy, I'm thinking of buying my daughter a car...and I've come across a gorgeous little 1.6lt 1987 Honda CRX at auction it's straight, the interior is tidy, and it's at auction for 2500, the other cars I've seen have sold for around 3500, there is virtually no work to do to it (except for a bit of paint on the bumper) I figure it's a bit sporty, very little power :y: I don't know alot about these cars and wanted some input so I'm wondering what are your thoughts on this car??? got the year wrong, so I've fixed it up...

Scary Experiences In Wet And Windy Conditions!!
SoulSearcher replied to ke71-rolla's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
about 3 years ago, i drove the crapbird to victoria (arrarat) then to I think it was shepparton with a car trailer on the back by myself...it took me about 3.5 or 4 hours to get to shepparton, I was picking up a half cut for hubby, on the way back to arrarat, there were the worst storms victoria had ever seen, I was aquaplaning (car and trailer) couldn't see a thing in front, couldn't stop, and I remember my mum telling me if you stick close to a truck all their wheels will disperse the water, so i slowed down till a truck came along....then tailgated it for about 200 meters! I was no longer aqua-planing but i was nervous because I felt i was going too fast, remember my eyes were glued to the road/back of the truck and trying to keep speed with it, I couldn't see the middle lines, couldn't see the side lines, there were no street lights, it was pouring with rain, flashing lightning, and at one point, hailing...I was basically following the back of the truck....I looked at the speedo and we were doing 110, i totally freaked out and slowed down to about 40, there was debris all over the road, fallen trees, flooding....it took me 6 1/2 hours to get back to arrarat, my eyes hurt, I had a headache from trying to concentrate on the road and the road signs, (this was before GPS was invented) and it didn't stop raining (that heavy, pelting type) the entire time!!! That was the worst wet weather driving experience EVER! -
lol i LOVE the ending bit :P voted

I might be there...and I may also drag someone along :P -
right, I was in at subway today, and i explained why I wanted a poster, (they just throw them away when they're finished with them), she offered to go out the back and have a look, she came back with one.... So, I have ONE only poster, it's HUGE! it's one of the big ones that stick on glass... If you want it, pm me, and if you want one, I suggest you go on down to your local subway store and ask them, the promo's just finished I think.... I'll ask the manager next time I'm there if he has any more (he owns 2 stores). :)
-
awwww he's grown so much, you must be so pleased to have him home...... best of luck for you and your family :)
-
oh, I could ask the owners if I could have them... don't see a problem with it... if people want them....

wow! just WOW! What beautifully presented vehicles :lolcry:

i used red striping (also from Autobarn) when i was thinking about painting my grille, basically, you just peel it off the roll and stick it on, it's kinda like self adhesive tape..... however, with the one I used, the red faded after about 6 weeks and peeled, so maybe there's a better quality one that won't fade, peel etc.,

so I was in subway today, I haven't been there for a while, they have NEW staff, so I looked like a bit of an idiot taking a photo whilst they were making my sub....had to explain, and sounded MORE like an idiot!!! but here is the picture: I just took a close up of the cars.... so there you go!

SoulSearcher replied to SoulSearcher's topic in Rollaclub Rides
latest news.... when they installed the new intercooler, they fudged up ALL but 1 of my exhaust manifold bolts, and the repair bill is about $800, considering I've only JUST sorted out the last friggin problem I'm supremely P*ssed Off. Probably a month til it's sorted out I reckon. -
I gave up subway a couple of months ago I used to go in every day...I'll have to make a special trip in and take a photo, It's ok, they know me :hmm:

Two Kids, Two Ke70s And A 3000 Mile Road Trip!
SoulSearcher replied to eiriksmil's topic in Important and Classic threads
WOW you went to hell, and bimbo, killed a bird, saw the midnight sun amongst other fabulous things, what an interesting a wonderful trip, and your write up was fantastic!! Thank you for sharing :D -
I've been sick for the last 8 days (this thing is awful)...I've found DIFFLAM with ANAESTHETIC is fantastic and the berry one takes reasonably ok, it numbs the throat, so that when you cough it doesn't feel like there's someone trying to rip out your lungs with a knife! and swallowing doesn't hurt as much. Also, taking "strong pain plus" to help with the aches and pains and the sinus aches and the headaches, my mother in law suggested loading up with Vitamin C and multivitamins which I'm starting on today...

wow, that is a lot of mud......

how cool that you found it!! It's always a relief to hear happy endings to these things.
