  1. This Saturday morning? w.
  2. It only had two wires coming from it and they were both connected either side of the coil, one to +ve and the other to -ve. So I guess each wire was for a pick-up? Do you know which is which, or if it even matters? Cheers, w.
  3. It didn't come with a delay advance, but I removed it from a 4k engine so it could have been installed by anyone, yes the T connector just splits the vacuum from the manifold to both ports on the advance, and I just connected the wires to my existing coil and ballast resistor setup. As I said this is the way I found it set up on the 4K in the yard and I put it on mine the same, but it is not neccessarily the correct way? Good luck. A.
  4. Thank you. I bought mine from U-Pull-It, in South Australia for $28.50. It had a cap on it so the bloke didn't realise it was electronic, I guess. Bargain!! It had a 2 stage vacuum advance too, with a T connector, so I just dropped it in and it worked. A.

  6. I am no expert, but I have heard that the bios battery going flat, can cause your computer clock to run slow. I would just phone a computer shop and ask them if this could be the cause. good luck A.
  7. I got a five speed there as well,a clutch cable that was as new for $10,a good set of spark plug tubes and an excellent nick boot rubber for free. A new clutch cable is usually about $90.00. I haven't been to the Lonsdale U-pull-it yet but I am planning to go have a look soon. A.
  8. Your combination switch, is your indicator stalk, headlight switch, and I think windscreen wipers too. It is attached around your steering column, and I think you may have to remove the steering wheel to dissemble it. If you do pull it to bits, careful of losing springs, tiny ball bearings, and loose contacts, also take note where and how contacts fit when dismantling. If you clean it up, it has some sort of lubricant on the contacts, which should also be replaced. Good luck. A.
  9. I grabbed a complete tachometer cluster from u-pull-it at Womma rd. for $38.50 too. Didn't worry about the mileage, just did a straight swap, plugged it in, and everything worked. Found a 5K electronic distributor there too for $24.50 . :-D That dropped straight in and just worked as well. A.
  10. Yeah taken in the mirror ;-) A.
  11. I have a digital tuner and it is good, it is not a computer card though. I live in the suburbs of Adelaide, You are at Gawler aren't you? Don't know what digital reception is like at Gawler. I have heard that digital tuners don't like the signal to be too strong, so your boosted aerial may not be suitable. This site has some good info about digital: http://www.dba.org.au/ If you buy your card from Dick Smith and it is not suitable for your area you have 7 days to return it. Hope this has been of some help. A.

  15. I know that you can buy a KE70 radiator new on eBay for $220.00 plus frieght. but the Ae71 new is $290.00 plus freight. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-COROLLA-AE71...1QQcmdZViewItem A.
  16. I have found that some of the smaller scrap metal merchants/recyclers put aside some of the good stuff that they come across. I scored a big sheet of 5mm thick aluminium for double the scrap price, normally would have cost 10 or 20 times that. A.
  17. Is this any help? Cheers,A.
