Thanks guys, I'm not regretting buying this, it's soooo much fun! although i still have a soft spot for 20's and would love to own one at some stage. there is a bit to be done on her before i start adding my own personal touches. the rear drums are oversize so the handbrake isnt holding, and the front drums also need to be replaced, gearbox bearings getting noisy, steering rack is rooted, and front wheel cylinders leaking. So i wanna get most of those sorted and then i want some nice wheels, a couple of spotties and a nice head unit to go in the dash card I'm making up. cheers guys have a good W/E

Drums all round at the moment. Very keen on a cooper S disk brake front end though. Can get them pretty cheap brand new so it'll probably be coming soon:)

Hey guys, Thought i would chuck up on thread for my new ride. Had my heart set on a KE20 for ages but this popped up and i couldn't resist. Its a 74' Leyland Mini S with the standard 998cc 4spd. manual. Mostly original besides 1.5" Carby, 1100 radiator, extractors and a hotdog muffler. Its also had a respray. Very small amount of surface rust on the floor pan, otherwise rust free. When i picked it up it was riding on the bump stops and was horrible to drive, I've since had the hydrostatic suspension pumped up so its riding and handling like a dream. I'm Making up a new dash card to stick some extra gauges on and a head unit (Using an Ipod dock atm :P) Haven't had a chance get some nice pictures yet but hopefully I'll get that and some nice video up soon cheers guys!

hey guys, just become a member and really enjoyed checking out everyone's rides. about a year ago i was at my great aunts looking through her garage, and id always noticed some old car sitting there covered in old blankets and rubbish, but i'd never been bothered to take all the shit off to check it out. well i finally did about a year ago and found out that it was a 73' KE20. i pretty much immediately fell in love with it! i asked her about and she said shes owned it since new and its been sitting in the garage for 15 years although it had been started every couple of months. so anyway, a few months ago i pulled it out and gave it a bit of TLC. a good wash, a general service and bit of tinkering and shes running beautifully. there's a bit of rust on each of the A-pillars, small dents in the driver and passenger doors, and a crack in the dash. but other that that, the paint and interior are great, the seats have had covers on them since new, so they are overrated, and the carpets and plastics aren't too worn. its got just over 70k on the clock and it seems to be mechanically pretty good. ive got my fingers crossed, but i might be able to convince her to sell it to me at the end of the year, once Ive finished school. cheers, JI'm
