cars in gettin engine pipe made up. just got an ae82 engine pipe which with a bit of cuttin and shuttin should fit. this'll do for a while until i get the money to put some boost through it.

Found the first major problem of the conversion. The exhaust manifold on it is a stocker(out of jap sprinter i assume),tryin to get exhaust made up to fit without goin to extractors. Lookin at gettin fwd engine pipe and cuttin and shuttin it to suit. Other than this the conversion goin pretty easily. Has anyone else had this problem?

got her up n running today and she moved under her own power. so keen for a drive...

temporarily wired up computer today and had car running. got a few minor issues to sort out,tidy up and mount computer and wiring then it can go off for new exhaust and i'll hopefully be on the road again.

sounds like fun but get another car to cut up for that i reckon and keep the ke as god intended.(well sort of) :lol:

what i've done that i hope will work is basically what you've done with that lift pump but i've used an intank pump from bout 93ish corolla. had the pump layin round so if it works it's cost me nothin. :yes:

still goin on the old girl. found out that the speedo cable from auto ke70 is different to whats needed(damm trimatic) only major problem so far has been findin bolts for everything over the public holiday.tanks comin out today to try and mount up the efi pump we had floatin round out of later model corolla. changin the radiator as well so have mounts to make up for that. then pretty much all it should be is sort out wiring loom,plug it in and hopefully it will be a goer.

next up,mount gearbox/tailshaft. try and rig up a fuel system. mount up radiator. plug harness in and hopefully it will live again..

i'd love to come up but i'll be spending the weekend puttin 4age in my car after 4k said bye byes. hope to make it up next year though. have fun...

i'm goin to be doin a 4age conversion into my ke70 next weekend so any pics on how you set up fuel pump and how it works would be great.

4age is finally goin in over easter.4k stopped the other day,think it may have seized the cam. can't beleive a k motor has died. tried to kill the engine in my ke20 and couldn't. got the ae71 crossmembers and pedal box comin on monday,get in a fuel pump and so on then it's all a go. should be great fun when it's back together. if i get it up and running well i think a shakedown run down to sydney via pacific hwy is on the cards...

going to be putting 4age into my ke70 soon (hopefully next weekend). have ae71 pedal box,crossmembers comin. just have a question for some people who have done it before. what sort of fuel systems have you used? is there a suitable external efi fuel pump to use without a surge tank or won't they work. trying to do it as cheap as possible. was thinkin of vl style pump. any info would be much appreciated. thanks guys.

wheels are 15x6.not sure what offset. :hmm: there was a set of 16inch superlites on ebay,not sure if they have finished.

now lowered,only cut springs until i can get kings.

yeah,the bodies really nice. only has some parking scars. i bought it off 87 year old original owner who had handed in her licence two years ago. granny cars are still out there,yay,i found one..:)

won't be changin it to much,just bolt on stuff. not a big fan of auto,not as much fun.

hey there,just stickin up some pics of my ke70. stock as a rock at the moment but have superlites on order then gettin slammed. also have a 4age/5 speed sittin at work that hopefully will be goin in soon. will be my daily driver soon so some people may see it floatin around newcastle.
