I went to work to find out that my shift was given away to someone else without letting me know. I've been sick since last thursday and i've just came back from seeing Poseidon. When we got back to the car and were backing out there was a van backing out alittle further up just after me. I started honking my horn as much as i could. He stopped cm's from my car. He then got out and asked me if he caused the damage to the front of my car. Sadly my sister opened her mouth and said it was already there. :faq: Now i have to pay to have my car fixed. :D Jon.

I'd say ditch the black shade thing on the rear windows. Get yourselves some groovy venetian (However its spelt) blinds. Speaking of which. Does anyone know where someone can get a hold of one?? Jon.

After I got the quotes i went to the wreckers. Heres what i picked up. I now have a Shelf!! YaY!!! Here is my current steering wheel. Notice the crappy horn center?? It just has toyota written on it. I was looking thru like 15 KE30/35/36/55's and i notice they had the old corolla symbol on the steering wheels. Well, they HAD the symbol, now they don't. I ripped off like 4 KE55 and one early KE30. Turned out that the KE30 was a better size. So i tried to remove the round bit from the plastic. But couldn't. While i was taking apart my horn i realised that the horn center was alot like the part i nicked from the KE30. Here is how it looks now. :monkey: Jon.

:monkey: -**UPDATE** Okay. I went for acouple of quotes today. The first place quoted $664.00 to repair my car in primer. Thats with me supplying the guard, bumper & apron. And having them repaire my early KE30 bonnet and pull my radiator wall out. He quoted me $45 to remove my old bumper and put on my new one?? Then also quoted $6 for each parking lamp removal and fitting even though its attached to the bumper?? $45.00 To remove and replace the apron?? Thats like 10 screws?? $4.50 per screw?? When i asked him for what i'd cost to have the whole car repainted, he snapped and said one quote at a time. So when he handed me my quote he was waiting for me to leave. I then asked about the respray quote and he rudely snapped $6,000. :) The second quote I got I felt that he explained more to me and gave me a choice in what i wanted him to do. He explained the cheap ways of fixing my bonnet and the more expensive, yet better off way. At first glance his price seems more expensive, but when you take away the paint, its cheaper by more than $150.00 He gave me a quote on the respray too. This guy actually looks over my car and checked my panels. I think i've found my guy!!!

:P -You like red cars?? Thats random too. Speaking of red cars. If your car was red, since red is a fast colour and if you got a speeding fine, would you be able to argue that you weren't speeding and that the camera got it wrong cause your car is red?? Jon.

:P -What type of person came up with the original name of, Corolla II?? The rear end of the car reminds me of a cross between a Diahatsu Charade, Honda Civic, Holden Barina/Suzuki Swift and Mitsubishi Lancer (two door hatch). They all Had tail lights like that around that time. Jon.

:P -I do. It is hard to start cause its cold and was hoping that there was something i can do it fix it. Like i pump it, i use the choke and she stalls the first few goes. Jon.

:P -I had the same problenm last winter, then when summer rolled around it was fine. Barely had to twist the key. I don't think its the battery?? Jon. During the day, when i finish work, she starts normally. I'm usually pumping the accelorator?? I just wanted to see if anyone knew what it could be before i go and pay someone to tell me whats wrong. thanks, Jon.

Don't run her into the ground!! :P That car has great potential. I'm not usually one to go for square headlight KE55's but i'm really likeing ur car. Do a rough patch to get it past rego then in the next year try to repair it slowly. If u can get another KE55 coupe for cheap, do it and try to repair the damage on ur car properly. Jon.
