I went to get the engine swap approved and the roadworthy and was given a HUGE list of thing that i needed to do. Like all tinting needed to be removed, rust on gaurds (left/right), pitman arm, tie rod, wiper blades, wiper water tank, radiator shroud, There was a hole in the exhaust, in the end i had to replave the whole thing incluging extractors. There was more but i can't remember. Slowly i started fixing her then my broke booster shat it self. I went to toyota to order a pitman arm and they charged me $140.00. They told me it'd be 10 days, two weeks later i rand and they told me it'd left japan and should be arriving any day. At the two month mark I was pulled over by the cops and given a HUGE fine. I rang toyota to find out where the hell it was and they told me the part was discontinued. I wasn't happy. :lolcry: Heres some more progress pics... These are after i bought her home, I polished her up and took photos at a work function. I damaged the rear demister scraping off the tint so i got myself another window for twenty bucks. Here's it being installed.

Ok, i've had the car for eight months now and i've spent well over five grand ($5,000.00+) on getting the car on the road. Since then i've done some minor adjustments and slowly, yet surely, she is progressing. I just thought that i'd post some pictures of her and the way she's developed since i rescued her from being wrecked. I rescued her from my brother after he ran it into the ground. She was never serviced and he was pumping the wrong fuel into her for well over a year until she just gave up. He couldn't even give her away so she sat in the yard rusting away. First thing was to have her towed out of the yard and down the road where she was getting a reconned 4K installed plus alot more. Soon the $1,700.00 quote turned into $2,600.00. When I got my car the first thing i did was remove the 4x4 mud flaps too!! I don't know who in their right mind would put mud flaps onto a rolla. My dad is one, but i don't believe he is sane. lOl

Black will look good, just be prepared when you get a scratch, it will be visable. Good to hear your putting the chrome back on. Chrome rocks. I hate it when people paint over chrome. Does orange go well with brown interior?? I'm trying to come up with some ideas as I will be painting my car soon. My interior is brown at the moment. I'd perfer not to redo the interior right away, so i'm looking for colours that may match. So far i only know of yellow and white that may match. My car is already yellow. Eventually my interior may be changed to black, and that goes with anything.

Just a quick question about KE30 Bumpers?? Both my front and back bumpers are in good nic rust wise, but have a couple of dints in both. Does anyone know if there are places that specialise in removing dints and streightening them out?? Preferably in and around Brisbane. Or if anyone has or knows of good KE30 bumpers going anywhere close to Brisbane?? thanks, Jon

You know to southside people, the north is shit. There is nothing worth seeing north of Brisbane. Everything worth anything is south!! Plus the Gold Coast is south. Theme parks are south. As for the Weekly Cruise, I'd say if you could make it a monthly thing like first Sunday of every month. And to cruise from north to south. Or vice versa. Maybe have certain stops along the way for meet up points. And maybe every month do a differant route with differant stops?? Abit off topic, last time i was down at Southport Carpark I was harrassed by a cop who mistook me for someone else. He claimed that he had me on security camera doing shit in the carpark with someone else (Hooning, nothing sexual. Thought I'd add this just in case someone thought they'd be smart). He then threaternd me if he got out of his car that he'd defect mine. I don't wanna go there again so i wanna know where everyone else goes when they go out on the weekends??

f@$k Daylight Savings!! Who wants to go around their house and change all the clocks?? When you think about it you've got many clocks. We've got 3 T.V's, 3 VCR's, 2 wall clocks, 2 microwaves, 3 computers, 4 alarm clocks, bout 5 phones, an answering machine, and about 7 or so wrist watches. Not to forget all the clocks in the cars. Now my fokes aren't too technologicly advanced, so i'd have to wind em all forward and back. Besides, who wants daylight at 8 / 9 o'clock at night!!! Up here there is still daylight at 7, and thats fine with me!! People adjust to the daylight. As it gets brighter earlier some professions, like construction workers, get up earlier and finish earlier. But it also sucks going to the coast around Coolangatta/Tweed Heads, and if you cross the boarder to go to the shops Maccas might have finished breakie already or later in the day the shops might be closed. It also sucked when this summer I went down to Melbourne and cause of the daylight savings the flight took over 3 hrs, well it was two but we lost an hour when we got there.

That speedo looks ok, but would have looked better with a KE50 tacho. So where is the Fuel and Temp guages?? So how would you wire in a tacho like that into ur speedo cluster?? I don't understand why they would paint the chrome bumpers?? I love chrome!! Gimme Chrome anyday!! Lastly, wheres the steering wheel??

Wouldn't be surprised with what they were smoking. That car is feaking UGLY!! Also pram parks are converted normal parks which are closer to the shops making us walk further :y: Lastly, there is nothing wrong with the KE70!! Its better than the AE71. The AE71 has a wierd, ugly slanted look, makes you want to level it out with a brick wall.

Cause it wouldn't sell here. eeek.
