  4. I picked up a KE10, about 6 months ago now, from a fellow member. She is a bit rough, but that's okay. I'm planning to use it on the track car. THIS IS A VERY VERY VERY PART TIME CAR. I don't a great deal of anything to it... Ever! When I picked it up it had flat 12" stockies painted green with a VERY dodgy white wall. It had an autotechnica sports steering wheel, 4 speed manual and extractors. It was powered by a strangely powered 3k. Quite bizzare as this 3k was a little monster. Since the original purchase of the car, I have since stripped out the interior and put in a heavily worked and rebuilt 5k. The 5k was a EVSKI ROLLASPORTS special, ask Evan G. (He made it very clear that I not take any credit for the building of this engine :P) Engine specifications are; 60thou shaved off the head, converted to solid lifters and pushrods, port and polished head to suit 3kbp, further ported inlet "mouth", Tighe 474 cam, also replaced all the valves and valve springs. All this runs straight out extractors at the current moment. Only other plans at the moment include a proper 2" exhaust with interchangeable side pipe for track AND twin carbs to suit. I also plan to upgrade my front brakes and run a KE70 engine cross member. I have also changed the wheels to a set of 13x7 Rebels, running stretched 165/75/13's. That's about all I can think of at the moment. Enjoy.
  5. Extractors to 3" exhaust, maybe manual conversion. I don't really feel like spending too much money, otherwise I would cam it and stroke it :P Also my old man has a PERFECT VS Statesman in the driveway as well. My house has gone from a Corolla infested house to Statesman infested lol! >.<
  6. Hey guys, Literally just got home with this bad boy. She is clean as, I spotted it for sale 1.5 to 2 years ago for sale. My offer got knocked back then and it sold, coincidentally to a guy I went to school with. Then the seller bought it back and sold it to me today lol... Anyways, she's a V8 4 speed auto. Only done 219xxxkms. Apparently a rebuilt auto, don't know how true that is. Also has a HSV boot spoiler. Plan is to keep it a daily and MAYBE do a manual conversion if I can be bothered. ENJOY!

  10. Judging what I've seen in the past, they go for around $250-300. Having said that I bought a FULL EFI setup for a 7k for $600, loom, Ecu, injectors, rail, manifold and exhaust manifold.

  14. The belt isn't the problem; the pulley alignment is the issue. The water pump pulley has a slightly different offset from RWD-FWD versions of the 4AGE engines.
  15. I don't even know where half the parts for the 4AC have disappeared to. I guess I could put it back in, but that takes effort. Definitely no to tracking it. I will just keep pouring money into it. I would much rather finish the KE55 then waste more money on the "Defect-anator". I'm in limbo at the moment, I don't know what the future holds for this car.

  17. Good news: NONE! Bad news: Defected, again. I was leaving DPB headquarters, waiting for traffic to clear so I could take off. I noticed a Green VE Wagon heading the opposite direction. Sure enough, undercover Police. I take off watching my rear view mirror, low and behold, the Police Officer does a U-Turn AND floors it (Lights off) to catch up with me. As soon as I reach the roundabout, less then 500m up the road, his lights go on. Pulls me over, breath tests me, looks at my car "Looks too low to me". Fair enough it is low but the amount of effort he went through to get me when I was just driving casually, mind you my back seat was also chockers with rims... 30 mins of my time later, minor defect requiring a RWC to clear, purely for height, and a $304 FINE! WTF!!! Over it. Going to have a fire sale, ie; light my car on fire and sell it. OR raise it and get a RWC.
  18. From what I've read, it's generally a good idea to upgrade your valve springs if your cam has a bigger lift then 0.400".
