  1. the 4age isnt a 10% increase in power considering you are using a bigport 4age which is 86kw so it roughly the same power out put. now if it had been a smallport then its more than a 10% increase :sob: but anyways it still good to know that the 4age is able to be put into ke70 series here in SA and is legal as long as it has the supporting brake upgrades etc.
  2. that thing didnt have a mod plate anywhere that i could see. rolla_4's twinky had a 4ac in it and it now has a 20v and it was only a changed engine number, so it is "apprently" legal

the *e7* isnt the 7th gen corolla :bash: its actually 4th gen because the 10th gen (e140/150) was relased in 06 ;)
  4. possible that someone had already installed them, from what i could gather the ae8* singlecams never had factory front swaybars

    that would be chet
  6. yes it does bolt on. and yes it is worth doing and yes it will improve the handling. plus i would also suggest you get the front sway bar from the twinky as well to further improve the handling.
  7. sorry i've been busy with work and havent really had a great deal of time to think and do stuff. i have a few tires on rims (5 or 6) that i can bring that we can use as part of the display, plus i have also got a couple jacks and a set of jack stands. tarps i may have no promises ;)
  8. I need a roll call for who are actually entered with rollaclub ;) (except thosed mentioned in the first post)
  9. if i did that i would need a small truck to bring all my gear down :S but it does sound like and intriging idea :hmm:
  10. from what i can gather is that you have to be enterant in toyoshow to get that information. as is to stop "potential" wankers from going on the cruise and causing problems :)
  11. where was it scrubbing? guards, bottom of the spring seat, or on the side of the strut? yes well body roll will happen with crapped out old suspension :) i have very little atm and all i have done is replaced the the struts and springs with the items from my hatch (items were less than a year old)
  12. really???(not really) considering my hatch and seca have both had 205/45/16's under the guards at once stange in there life (with out needing the guards rolled) offset should be between +38 and +42
  13. well i must have been in Canberra on Thursday :2thumbs: actually theres one on the corner of Brown Tce and Park Tce lights in Salisbury :hmm:
  14. as far as i know all you have to do is notify them that the colour of the car has changed :D
  15. :D thats all i have to say on that :)
  16. why would a person that has asked for info about basic mods for thier CURRENT corolla want to sell it and buy an sx. i had the same problem when i first modified my CS hatch everyone was saying to sell it and buy an SX. (i did buy and sv only 5 years later and i have been able to swap most of the aftermarket parts from the CS to the SX) the point I'm trying to get across is that if this person wants to modify the ae112 they should go for it, ii its what they want to do not because its the norm. if we all followed a particular trend then the modified car scene would be a very bland and tasteless scene to be a part of. plus to the person who started this thread i also recommend that they also sign up on Twincam.org and Toyota Owers Club for a bit more of a broader view of opinions :D
  17. are talking in the sense of huge body kits :D or that enigne side of things :)
  18. tell that to the the modified corolla owners in the united states  plenty of modified 7afe's over there
  19. toyota recommend the timing belt be changed every 100,000 km
  20. hmm well considering the magna has 2 more cylinders and 1.7 litres more capacity i would expect it to have more power out of the box :y: well lets see for basic mods i would proabaly say CAI(with washable filter ie, K&N), exhaust, springs, shocks, bushes, and maybe swaybars. plus changing the oil every 5000 - 10000 km and if you don't rev the tits off motor, it will see you right for quite a few years
  21. well you could always get the standard nitrated or maybe use a 4a crank(don't qoute me on the 4a crank though) plus i would also change the box as well to a e5* series box as well which is bolt up to the *a series blocks
  22. at the alsolute most you want to up the boost to is 10psi but i really don't think the motor will like it much due to it being exactly the same and the n/a 7afe so probably to get the most out of the 7afte you may have to play with the internals in the long run but mainly replacing the rods and pistons. i personally would go with aftermarket rods from say argo and stock 4agze pistons( 4a and 7a motors use the same bore size just different stroke sizes) my 5 cents worth
  23. yep it clockwise. long nose pliers work as well but only as a last resort  handbrake can be adjusted via a nut located on the handbrake under the centre console. the hand brake movement be 5 - 8 clicks
  24. i shouldnt think it would be, but yet again i never had any of my cars modified enough to require dyno time
  25. no, its still an stationary dyno, its just that it bolts directly to your hubs just like a set of rims Edit: picture to show
