I dunno, i play baseball and one of my mates had his bat in the car and when a cop pulled him over they threatened to take it from him as it 'could' be used as a weapon. But i guess a p plater that gets pulled over for hooning around is gonna get picked up for everything and anything.

I don't see how it matters what it is, the point is that its not theirs to damage or decide what value it holds. And laughing at you, dude thats not cool. I'm sure watching someone inflict damage upon ones vehicle is far worse than coming back to find it.

Wow, so many stories. I took the guys licence plate, car description, time, date and stuff but i was late for work and didnt have time to wait and didnt really know what to do actually. And being 5 foot nothing and also being a skinny 17yr old i wasnt so much inclined to wait around for them. When got home and dad was like, why didnt you ring me i would have sat on the guys bonnet and waited for him. I'm not sure what my insurance covers but the guy who painted me car is a panel beater and I'm sure he'll help me fix it.

Yeah new cars have nothing on the old EH's. Dad and his mate restored one when i was growing up not that I'm old now but when i was younger, i heard so many stories about them writing off cars and only recieving minor or no damage. Solid things.

This is true and i agree with what your saying. Its just so infuriating when i see someone display such a lack of care and disrespect for someone else's belongings.

I'm not sure if anyone has bitched about this before, but it pissed me off so much i have to mention it. Today i was at the shops and parked my car a short distance away as to not be on the recieving end of a stray trolley. And my worst fear since respraying my car was having someone openning their car door onto it or having a trolley roll into it. Well it happened and i was pissed. I came back to find a slight dent and some paint missing off my rear drivers door, so i checked the car next to me. Sure enough he had white flecks on paint stuck onto the side of his door. As i am new to recieving vehicular damage i couldnt bring myself to lay a couple of knee's into his drivers door. Upon arriving home though i noticed that the slight dent was actually a large indented line from just below the window down nearly to the bottom of the door. If i had known that such damage had occured i think that would have tipped me off enough to cause the bastard some damage. I shall show no mercy to the next arsehole.

The offset for KE70's I'm pretty sure is around 25. I'm around at the moment for a new set for my KE70 and the wheel guy told me i needed a 25 offset or less.

yeah the grill is made out of thick mesh with 8mm circular holes in it. thanks for the ebay tip, ill have a look

Hi All, My names Samm and I'm from Sydney. I have recently turned 17 and obtained my P's. I am also the proud owner of a 1984 KE70. I purchased the car when i was 15 and dad and i have slowly fixed her up and got her looking shmich. I started with a normal standard white KE70 with the 1.3Ltr 4kc. We have since put in a 1.6ltr 4A, it has been lowered it 2inchs, put on a full 2 inch exhaust system, full respray, mags and ive decked it out with all my audio equipment. It also has the Spirit Spoiler, brand new bonnet, front guards and bumpers. Dad and i also made a new front grill for it, my old one got a bit damaged during the engine change. I am still hoping to get a set of extractors for it and get the head worked a bit. I am also on the look out for a new set of mags for it something around the 15inch range by about 6-6.5inches wide. Was wondering if anyone knows of a set that they are willing to part with. I'm sort of after the thinner spoked rims. These are a few of pictures of my car that i took a couple of days ago.
