  1. It's on the internet, so it must be true
  2. Everyone on Rollaclub should do this mod.
  3. It's on the internet, so it must be true
  4. 20v_ke35: you are beyond help. I think now we can just... "move on". And you can believe whatever you like (a bit like, taking the blue pill). We'll just go on with our lives knowing we took the red pill and we know the truth. And no, it's not a good idea to flame a mod. Especially nick.
  5. Of course. If it can make a 660cc kancil "potong any Proton Exzos Senget anytime without even downshifting woooo"* then surely it'll make a 3K drift  * overtake any modified Proton without downshifting, or... literally, "cut any Proton Sideways Exhaust anytime without even downshifting umm... woooo" :)
  6. 20v_ke35: I'm afraid I'm going to have to say this - you are rather seriously misled.
  7. Again, no you're wrong. I don't think it says anywhere in the rules that "thou shalt not drift". And you can definately bet that most ALL of those cars would have more torque than your 3K, or most other cars on the street. And rubber? Dude these guys are sponsored. They spend thousands of dollars on everything else, why would they care about how much rubber they go through? And no, WRC drivers don't "drift". Yes, they slide their cars through corners, but only just enough to get them through. I wouldn't call that "proper" drifting. Besides, they only really do that on dirt and ice. Next time you watch a WRC stage on one of the tarmac stages, you'll notice they don't really slide the cars at all.
  8. OMG, this thread has me in fits of laughter.. Some idiot paid a lot of money to get an intercooler put onto his NA Kancil, and all these people are talking about what a great idea it is and how it works so well yadda yadda yadda...
  9. Umm. Something like that. Not necessarily, but something like that.
  10. *sigh* Okay, maybe you misunderstood Doug. Andrew (I'm guessing it was Andrew, I wasn't there) wasn't not keeping up because he had no torque. If anything at all, he probably had bucketloads more torque than Doug. It was because he was "drifting", and Doug was wasn't. Okay, that video you watched. I've seen several similar videos, and I would be guessing the track they were using would be a fairly small tight track (fairly typical of tracks in Japan). There are *some* instances where chucking the car through a corner can be quicker, ie when driving on dirt or a loose surface. Sure, on the skidpan I can get quicker times driving sideways than I can trying to "grip" drive. But that doesn't mean that "drifting" is quicker. Drifting, if done properly, involves BIG angles. Whatever the surface, this is always SLOWER than driving through the corner properly, or having "just right" slip angles. If you think drifting is so fast, why doesn't anyone else in any other form of motorsport drift? Formula 1 doesn't drift, NASCAR doesn't drift, IP doesn't drift, if you've ever been to watch the Merdeka race they don't drift... Even WRC drivers don't drift...
  11. 20v_ke35: Umm.... By manifold, we mean what you just posted a photo of. So that bolts on to the head, then the throttle bodies bolt on to the manifold, then the trumpets bolt on to the throttle bodies, then you put air filters over the trumpets. Well, unless you run an airbox over the trumpets... But yes, true you can have long and short manifolds (which I think makes some difference to throttle response as you have more or less "free air" between the throttle body and the piston), but ultimately it is the combined length of everything that makes a difference, and yes, making the trumpet longer will have the same sort of effect as making the manifold longer.
  12. I can do both, and I can assure you that "grip" driving is quicker on dry tarmac in 99% of situations
  13. "grip videos"? What are these grip videos?
  14. amen. I know what toys I'm going to be giving my dog (when I eventually get one)
  15. Also goes to show why dogs are superior to cats
  16. 20v_ke35: Oh, there are KE1x's in Malaysia? Hmm, never seen one, but I haven't been back in awhile. And no, unfortunately you're wrong. On tarmac, drifting is almost always slower. Actually, I can probably even say that on any surface "proper" drifting is ALWAYS slower. Even on dirt where sideways is goodways, too sideways (which is what drift generally aims to achieve) is slow. Drifting looks cool. Drifting isn't fast. *ps* No, Initial D isn't proof that drifting is faster.
  17. You know you're cool when you have your own website: Tyson, the skateboarding dog
  18. Yes, skateboard dog
  19. 760kb of awesome dogness
  20. I like how my brakes, both back and front, clear my rims by about 2mm
  21. You gotta love the "massive wheel, tiny brakes" package
  22. Bugger, I wonder if anyone still even has that photo!!! I don't
  23. Now I have to go and look for a certain photo of a Liberty with a bent rear quarter and a drift monkey sticker...
  24. /me remembers the good ol days when Nick and I used to have many differences between us
