  1. He who has the biggest bandwidth wins! :D
  2. Oh WOW, THIS IS SO COOL :D Resolution looks to be more or less the same as Google Maps, but you can fly around and zoom in and pan and tilt and rotate the images, SO COOL!
  3. Some Windows installs, you can change the direction of the screen, ie you can turn your screen on it's side and view it as if it's normal. It's funny when you do this, and turn someone's monitor upside down, and they don't know how to switch it back...
  4. In my case (and I'm for real!!!), I ran out of white paint. So it was either wait till Monday came around and buy more white paint and paint the bonnet at home, or use the black paint and paint the bonnet black in the spray booth that we'd already rented. So the bonnet became black. And since the bonnet was black, I painted the cowl panel behind it black too (after already painting it white) to finish off the look...
  5. I also seem to see a lot of this "yeah I pulled a big skid in the city, it was so cool" / "huh? why should my car get confisticated, I'm not a hoon" mentality among the d0rif70R people... Whom a lot of them seem to not see any problems with drifting through the CBD, or lowering their car ridiculously, or doing ultra dodgy mods, and are the first to whinge and complain when they get pulled over and defected or fined. This, of course is a MASSIVE generalisation, there are heaps of people in the drift scene who are responsible and sensible, it's the few idiots who put a big cloud over everyone else. Just the same way legetimite car clubs get a bad rep because of some idiots who decide that they can't behave responsibility. Skids are fun, handbrake turns are fun, driving sideways in general is fun. But time and place. Some deserted road out in some country town? Meh. In the middle of a busy city with pedestrians around? Not appropriate, I don't think.
  6. Well, I don't think it's limited to Commodore drivers, there are heaps of other people who think like that. But I think it would be safe to say that it is more prevalent (spl?) among the "big cubes" people ie Falcodore drivers... Maybe because "big cubes" tend to = "big torque" which also tends to = to "easy to pull skids".
  7. Hahahahahahahahaaaaa... sorry, I couldn't resist... Actually, one of my mates is a big fan of Commodores (VL's in particular), he continually pulls burnouts and skids in the city, and doesn't seem to see anything wrong with it. In fact, he gets kicks out of "scaring the pedestrians". Despite all my persuasions, he won't take his car to a sprint day or to a motorsport event, because he's afraid of damaging his car, or rolling it. Yet he has no problems doing 200km/h down the freeway or cutting off traffic or pulling skids in the CBD... I dunno, some people just think on a whole different level.
  8. So umm... who is Joch666? :D
  9. Hmm, if Rob is driving I could be persuaded to go!!! :D
  10. Haha, SO DODGY!!! I like it :D
  11. As far as I know: Yes, there are 2 different types of AE86 diffs. Early ones have small axles, later ones have big axles. Both will go into any T-series housing, but you'll need to get the axles to match.
  12. No idea, but mine had one, and it was cool :D
  13. Really? Oh... Maybe it isn't Nick's then, Nick's has like 3 spoke things. No idea, dood, but if you find out can you post a photo of it doing the drift here!!!
  14. Not if you're driving a FWD car like a red AE92 seca. Maybe it was Nicks. You should ask him. And which sticker did you see? If you saw the one on the left (passenger) side then it probably said "I was once a treehouse", else you probably saw the other one "I lived in a cake"... I still recon the seca had nothing on the Mira. The Mira OWNS ALL!!!
  15. No, but I heard that someone drifted a Daihatsu Mira around there sometime last week... Apparently it was a perfect drift too, e-brake on entry and got the car sideways about 150m before the corner, was smoking it up by the time they got to the roundabout and then full lock around the roundabout. Had a lot of stickers though, don't know which one you're talking about...
  16. I don't think that's entirely true (but I don't have my CAMS manual with me so can't check it out). Other body mods (flares, front spoilers etc) are allowed, but are restricted.
  17. oke020: Hahahahahahahahahahaa :D Darn, mine couldn't make BOV sounds...
  18. Heh, I saw a *real* Centura today, some dude waiting to pick someone up at the train station. Green one, too!
  19. I had it for a year, and spent $0 on it. Drove it everywhere, up and down the coast several times even. It started first go everytime, and never skipped a beat. It even had air cond... And then after a year I sold it for the same price I bought it :P
  20. No idea if I've got enough parts to put a good gearbox together, I really should start taking some of my old gearboxes apart and see what actually broke...
  21. Yes, this one I believe: No one person should be allowed to own this many nice cars... Jamie: 8 speed manual actually, I don't think the "power/economy" Colts ever came in 5 speed :P I used to have one... It was cool. Cheapest (to run), most reliable car I've ever owned. Yes, cheaper even than the mighty Corolla.
  22. Yes, missing a tooth in 3rd gear I think. It makes clicky sounds sometimes.
