Car: 1982 ke70 Engine: 4age 16v Small Port. Gearbox: T50. Turbo: Garret T28. Intercooler: Stock 180sx Intercooler. Hey guys so I am about to install my 4age 16v Small port into my Ke70, I'm just waiting on a few parts to come in and then shes ready to go. I recently Picked up a Turbo and Stock Intercooler from a 180sx, the turbo is a Garret t28. I'm just wandering what else I need to run this setup, apart from the obvious which would be a turbo timer, boost gauge, and piping.. I'm new to ke70's, Turbos, and 4age's. Ive been told alot to buy a 4agze or 3sgze bottom end, but I'm not really keen to spend that sought of money.. If anyone knows of anybody who has done a similar setup before, feel free to fill me in about it, or post a link if hey have a thread about it. Any post helps, and is greatly appreciated. So today I move to Brisbane for two months, so the Keto had to be packed up and left to hibernate :( - Sad day.. Had to begin by masking my tail light holes up (as my tail lights arent installed) and I didn't want to come back to an infestation of possums in my boot or something random.. Then I packed as much of the keto's contents into the back seat and boot, so there was nothing left sitting in my shed. I then put a tarp over the work bench so nothing got dusty or went missing.. How much stuff can you fit in your K.E? Oh I also picked up an original Ke70 Jack this week, in great condition, really stoked.. Also picked up an ae71 engine cross member, it was a little dirty/rusty but after 30 mins with a wire brush she came out shiny, almost looking brand new - don't have any pics of her cleaned up but you get the drift.. So for the next two months this is how the Grinch will look :( I feel sorry for her.. But while I'm gone ill be purchasing camber top coilovers, the rest of the parts needed for my 4age conversion, ae86 power steering knuckles and Steering lock spacers from AJPS, and the complete Ultra Racing Brace Package from http://www.ultraracing.com...

So Wednesday night I finished off removing the 4k, it was a heck of a mission, but its out now. Then I began removing the cross member, this ended up being such a messy job, so much grease, but its out now.. Quad Light outer frame arrived on Thursday, just waiting on the rest of the setup. Built some carpeted ply panels, to sit in my boot where the missing panels are for Jack's and stuff..

Got a 52mm aluminum radiator and a Vl high pressure fuel pump. Also got the loom and ecu.

Hey guys so I have the following 4age 16v smallport w/rear wheel drive intake manifold. T50 gearbox Brand new Vl Fuel pump. Brand new 4age Extractors. Brand new 52mm Aluminum Radiator 220mm flywheel. 4a Clutch. Clutch master slave and hardline. Wiring loom x 2 Ecu What else do I need to put this setup in my ksev? Any assistance is greatly appreciated cheers.

Still in fabrication progress - Welder blew up so...

So yesterday I began to fix bits and pieces on my bonnet, flipped her upside down and decided that I would first off begin buy fixing all the cuts that Reed had originally made in the bonnet brace's, he had cut out two sections towards the front of the bonnet to allow the insertion of aftermarket bonnet pins, and then he had cut a section out of the left rear brace (the one's that cross from corner to corner to provide support to the bonnet.. There are also two holes that reed drilled in the bonnet to fit aftermarket window washer/squirters, so I have grinded the paint back from the underside of them and cut a piece of the bonnet off cuts (the bits that I cut off when cleaning up Reeds original cut's) and prepared them to be welded on, I went to stick weld them in place but my welder decided it would shit itself - CHEERS :( Reed had made all the cuts with Tin Snips from what I could tell, so I whipped out the trusty Angle Grinder and cleaned up all the cuts, I then realized that I didnt have any metal to replace the cut out sections, so I just sprayed the cut sections with Kill rust to prevent any further damage, and hopefully some time this week I will be heading over to Rocky's to cut some replacement sections out of a different bonnet and then re weld them in to the cut out sections in mine, then ill simply drill some decent sized holes for the bonnet pins to slide through, give the underside of the bonnet a good clean (MAYBE SEAM WELD ALL THE BRACES) And then have the underside sprayed black. Today I removed my battery from the engine bay, and the headlight and grill setup, as my Quads will be here soon, and I'm taking the 4k engine setup out bit by bit when I have the time.. As soon as shes all out I'm going to seam weld the engine bay, sand it all back to raw metal, prime her up and spray the engine bay black, along with the exterior side of the engine bay. Oh and this awesome condition headlight setup is for sale - Need it gone $120 or best offer.. :yes:

Decided I would have a crack at removing the 4k by myself - Fail, I realized that if I just started undoing shit and not using my brain shit would leak everywhere, I would probably break stuff and eventually not be able to sell my 4k off with all the gear ready to throw it in a car.. So ill have to get Rocky around to give me a hand.. First rookie error - Forgetting that radiators have fluid in them! So after removing the Radiator I gave up for the day, I'm super keen to get this engine, gearbox, pedal-box and running gear out asap!!

Gear Box arrived today - Pretty dirty but with a decent clean up she will run like a dream.. I'm so happy that this car is slowly coming to the completion point!

Ok so Saturday I spent a lovely $550 and received the following parts: Brand new Vl Fuel pump. Brand new 4age Extractors. Brand new 52mm Aluminum Radiator 220mm flywheel. 4a Clutch. Clutch master slave and hardline. Looking good! Clutch and Flywheel need a clean up but thats all good.. I'm so happy that ive almost got everything I need to put this engine in, tomorrow night its out with the 4k! Ended up waiting on the gear box as I needed money to grab all these parts, so I'm getting my gearbox sometime this week instead. Spent my Sunday at Archerfield Drift making a short film - Should be up soon, ill post a link when its done :) can't wait till I can begin filming Rolla Meets.. Very soon Rian, very soon indeed, just got to pull out the 4k and all its bits and pieces (Gearbox etc) and sell them off, shouldnt be too hard the engines had a decent tune, and only has 170XXX ks and ill bang it off cheap.. Heading down to brizy to pick up a fair few parts on sat, wiring loom and ecu arrived today, and I'm picking up my T50 Box tomorrow night.. can't wait to get her in, also found a guy who is willing to mod plate the engine for $80, as long as I have all the work done by a certified mechanic (Which it is) :)

After alot of thinking, and forced decision making, I have decided to rename Cop Bait.. The name just doesnt fit her anymore, she has changed to much, and undergone far to much surgery to retain her awesome Title, here are the three choices I narrowed it down to. The Gremlin, The Goblin, The Grinch, After more thinking and screaming names out in my shed and waiting for the right one to fit I have decided to name her "THE GRINCH" I'm pretty happy with the name, I think it fits well.
