  1. Ok so its finally time to get back into the build, I took my break from work early for my mate Vaughn, so that he could do some extra time, as he had family coming up the same time as my break, so we switched, which led to me now having 20 days off work.. I haven't been home in almost two months.. So today, my first day back I attacked it, but this time I'm finishing this build with a better attitude, as I can now see how close the end of this build is coming, and I am really excited as I finally have the time to get the work done, I also have better skills learnt from mates, and I'm able to get a fair bit of stuff done alone.. First job was to clean my workshop out, with the help of my friend Tom... Tom decided earlier in the day that he woulds spend the day throwing items in the bin, acting like kobe bryant. I some how managed to get the workshop finished but, and here is how it went. Dirty days.. This is how the shop started.. Moved the car out of the workshop, Tom was acting like his usual child self in one of the pictures.. Cleaned the garage out something solid, made a rather large pile of all the stuff I have to install, quite a bit of cash sitting there.. Finished the clean up and put the rolla inside.. Oh haha this would be mums getz, Ive driven it for a bit, haha its pretty fuel efficient and cruisy to drive, I put some 15x8-10 nemoto wheels on it the other day for her as she kept begging me for wheels, it looks pretty funny.. And here is the plan to finish the build.. Install the sun roof,, make custom bumper brackets, install ae71 pedal box, install front carpet, install seats, install boss kit's and steering wheel, install gear stick, get the car mobile tinted by tinta car, darkest legal, install number plate lights, and number plates, tint head lights and tail lights , install fender braces, paint rocker covers, engine bay, paint underside of bonnet, install radiator, install radiator fan, install oil catch can, install new head unit, H.I.D headlight install, install mirrors, throw badges on, order loom, coil packs, and adaptronic ecu from kaizen garage, install Bosch fuel pump, lift pump, hydraulic lines, and surge tank, lock the diff, pick the t50 gear box up from the work shop, pick up my 16v small port with hks 272 8.1mm lift cams, t3 adjustable cam gears, clear cam gear cover, anodized splash guard, anodized throttle trumpets, anodized pulleys, TRD extractors, .5mm trd head gasket, uni filters, Toda lightened fly wheel. Then I got to install that and the gear box with my Exedy hd clutch, and my ae71 tail shaft.. Install adjustable trailing arms and adjustable rear pannard rod. Take it to get an exhaust from fletched at suncoast, it's a twin 2 1/4" get if dyno'd and tuned. Then it's off to get a cut and polish, balance and wheel alignment, Install water pump and tow hook.. New gauges, Then engineering cert, and mod plates for steering wheel, coilovers, seats, boss kit, engine, tailshaft, gearbox. Followed by a roadworthy and rego.... And here is a sneak peak of my engine before painting and the rebuild..

  5. Hey guys just chasing some opinions on this fuel setup, for my 4age. It's a surge tank with twin pumps, I also have a Bosch 044 at home previously purchased.. Don't know if this link will work: http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewitem?itemId=221065804144&cmd=VIDESC
  6. Cheers man, havent updated this in so long, as I havent worked on the rolla in over two months as ive been away at work, but once I'm back its time to finish her up..
  7. So these are my 20v Quad throttle bodies that I picked up.. And my 20v to 16v Quad throttle body adapter arrived and I bolted it up... And these bad boys arrived today... More to come soon guys....
  8. Hey guys, I'm running a 4age 16v small port, with 20v Quad throttle Bodies, an adaptronic ecu and brand new valve springs.. I'm just wandering what cam shafts you have put in your 4age, and where a good place to get them online is, without the killer $800 per shaft price.. I'm keen to run an exhaust and Intake shaft, and decided to ask some questions before hand.. I was thinking about running the Tomei Pro 304 Duration with the 11.0mm lift.. Any input is appreciated thanks guys..
  9. Nah not yet man, it sucks ass!! If you want you can send them to my mobile - 0402280709
  10. 12/5/12: So I just ordered an adjustable Panhard rod, t3 roll center adjusters, and a AJPS drift button for my handbrake, should all be pretty sweet, if it arrives on time.. 13/5/12: Made another order this morning alot of money later.... Also ordered a clear cam gear cover, uni filters for my quads, a carbon fiber coil cover (has no holes in it because I'm running coilpacks) and a HKS timing belt...
  11. Could you link us to them on the t3 site if you have a chance, sorry to be a pain in the ass, I'm on my phone and google has aids at the moment.. Cheers
  12. Hey man where abouts did you get your 4link adjustable trailing arms, next on my purchase list for sure!
  13. Yeah 1k the paint was 600 and the clear was 400 it might not look that good but its strong paint and worth the effort.. Matte grey is bullshit good :)
  14. Yeah but I'm running black bolt on flares, black wheels, full black interior and black window shields, I think it would look boss like professionally sprayed it would look good seeing as though the car is matte grey.. Look at this for an example Rian.. http://ieatscooterkids.tumblr.com/post/18758794748 P.s what do you think of the car so far? :)
  15. I'm also considering getting my bonnet profesionally sprayed matte black? Any opinions??
  16. After a long day packing everything that wasn't bolted onto the car, into the car I popped the rolla on a trailer and off we went.. Thats it for the update at the moment guys, this week ill try get all my black bolt on flares installed, I have one on but staying in an apartment complex its extremely hard to get stuff done, I have about 20 minutes to do shit, before people complain about noise and so on, but hopefully with persistence ill get it done, also I'm going to attempt to get my chrome bumpers bolted in but I'm not to sure about how to make up a bracket.. Hopefully there is some sought of bracket that can be purchased at a hardware store that I can customize.. Any ideas anybody? If you have seen any threads about bracket customization or anything like that feel free to leave a message bellow with a link or anything. I'll also respray my window weather shields... Black, and also respray the little vents that sit behind the Back door in between the rear window, and the back windows.. Also I'm chasing two good condition chrome strips that go from the bottom of your windscreen to your back window, (or that sit above the doors), If anyone has seen some for sale, or knows anywhere you can get them new please let me know..
  17. Two days before leaving Noosa, I had to finish the cronic sanding job on the rolla, I noticed that there were about 15 areas where the paint was fried, if you don't know what that is, its where the thinning agents in the new paint reacts with the old paint and causes these squiggly bubbles to pop up, we even covered extremely large parts of the car in "Motofix spray putty" but that didn't seem to work either, but after about 4 hours of f*cking around, we narrowed the stuffed areas from 15 to about 3. one behind the back left door about the size of a 50c coin and two on the roof, at first I was a little up set that the paint didnt turn out perfect, but then I realized I'm building this car to slide it, its going to get nick's and dings here and there and you move on.. Minor details.. But here's the sanding and putty process's in photos.. After all of that it was another quick coat of primer and some light sanding and that was the last step of preparation for the top coat before a quick clean.. Before I show you the final paint photos I thought id quickly show a photo of how I sealed my tail lights, I went down to bunnings and purchased some crack sealant sticky foam and cut it to fit around the area where the tail light sits, nothing too exciting and I know its been done before but a build threads a build thread.. But yeah here's the paint job (NO ITS NOT PRIMER) its Matte Grey, with a Matte Clear coat, the paint cost a little over 1k but I love it.. Ohh and P.S feel free to hate on the stickers etc as I couldnt give a shit, Its my car and ill do what I like to it, not being a prick, but I know that little illest sticker on the back window will cop some nasty attention.. Oh well "HATERS MAKE ME FAMOUS" So before I moved back to Brisbane, I realized I didn't have the mounts that when from your engine to the mounts that slipped into your cross-member, with one day to get my engine in, my car on a trailer, and on the road to Brisbane I began searching like a mad man thanks to Fletcher and Vaughn at Suncoast Automotive some phone calls were made and a Wreckers a few k's from where I lived had a ae71 wagon shell with a ceased engine sitting inside, so after 20 minutes of banging and clanging with an assortment of tools we got the mounts out, it was a huge ʞ©$ɟ around because the bolts were rusted and all munted.. But here are some photos of the little fella we got the stuff out of.. Here's the engine bolted in, I didn't get the gearbox bolted on as my spigot was stuffed and I didn't have time to grab a new one...
