  1. fitted manifold while tacked together to see how turbo sat , which left planty of clearance for dump pipe and external gate
  2. thanks mate , this should be pretty nuts too haha
  3. next i wanted to make my own turbo manifold for a gt3076r spec turbo i had sitting around gathering dust form my jzx100 so went and visited the guy who had previously made my turbo manifolds for me and got some bits to start my own out of 32nb shc40 mild steel steam pipe then began making it once i had worked out the position i wanted the turbo to sit and made a jig runner by runner getting there all 4 runners done then cut all runners of to make wastegate outlet then got it professionally tig welded up for a better appearance and piece of mind reliability wise now its getting ceramic coated and thats where i'm up to currently
  4. next i dummy fit the engine and decided it was best to cut the engine mounts off the crossmember and start from scratch as they looked to have been messed with and didnt trst them with silicone everwhere ended up doing similar to other rollaclub members ke sr20 engine mounts once i hade these plates tacked in i put motor in and got it to sit where i wanted +dummied up some mounts out of cardboardas then had them plasma cut then bent them up at work and tacked them into position using some vibratechnics rubber mounts for an escort it think as they were nice and thin sump clearance and shifter hole (only so large from dodgey hole in it before) engine in position then started making gearbox crossmember out of 50x25x3 rhs
  5. so then i bought a s14 sr20det and rb20 gearbox + sr20 bellhousing engine arrived then pulled old engine out and gave it away for free as it had a bottom end knock i was told(never bothered to start it as had flat battery too) then cleaned up the sr20 and found it had 2 warrenty seals one on block and one on head so looks to be rebuilt at some point then pulled apart the rb box and fitted the sr bellhousing and cleaned it up and painted it
  6. Hi all been lurking on here for a little while and thought i should post up my project sold my daily 300+kw jzx100 and bought a more sensible daily , but found it wasnt enough to satisfy me so a project car was decided . as i wanted something light after the jzx100(only downfall they are a bit heavy) was looking at ra/ta celica's(so i could stay with a 1jz) , then moved to old corollas initailly ke20's ect when i found this ke30 and bought it. it was recently resprayed but has a few areas that need re doing but no rust that i can find few pics at home and few pics form previous owners that i was able to get hold of apparently it used to have a v8 in it so tunnel has been made larger which left me with bulk room for engine/gearbox combo's looked at different conversions for a while then decided s14 sr20det was the best choice to still be able to register with most potential reasoning= newish engine. factory rwd 2lt turbo with lots of cheap aftermarket support what you guys think? will update what i've don't so far and where i'm up to soon cheers,Matt
  7. what specs are those wheels. size, width, offset?
  8. if its for a registered car might need to see if its legal in your state or tested to adr's
  9. i'm not sure on the size of the exhaust ports on a 4ag but doubt it would flow too much for a 25nb sized steam pipe manifold with only 396.75 cc per cyl , when a 1jz is 415cc and it was perfect size but i'm no expert you just need to do research and find out what most 4ag manifolds are pipe diameter wise , and hope some one has tried the small runner i have suggested with good results
  10. keeping the runner diameter as small as possible(within reason) for more velocity works wonders for drivability and spool. changing from 32nb sch 40 (35mm ID )to 25nb sch10 (28mm ID )steam pipe runners i gained roughly 20hp throughout the whole rev range even top end on a vvti 1jz with a gtx3076 and was so much better to drive. i'm currently making a sr20 manifold for myself from 32nb sch40 but may make anther later out of smaller ID and see if spool can come on sooner without choking it up top as the sr20 exhaust ports are much bigger then the vvti 1jz + with 499cc per cyl for sr compared to the 415cc per cyl for the 1j havent found anyone who has tried 25nb on a sr20 yet so may be a first
  11. speed flow comes in black too or even custom colours IIRC
  12. ok thanks alot mate exactly what i was after
  13. awesome car mate got any pics of the clearance between engine front and radiator from side on? i am doing a sr20 into ke30 conversion soon and just planning thanks
  14. where did you get that chin spoiler? looks great ,i want one
