Yeah man so true. I have a little Datto ute that just scrapped over 200rwkw on a standard 1200 diff and I only twisted a single axle in 2 years. I suppose it comes down to how to treat it.

this is exactly what I'm doing with mine. I'm painting it in 2 pak white, 13b bridgy turbo, but i want to keep the sleeper look for a while. i know people keep telling me this will break that will break but i will take it easy while i run it in. when its ready for the track i will do diff,breaks etc.

love the fab work man, its looking neat. reading back threw this topic and it says your leaving the brakes,diff etc standard for now. how do you think she will hold up??

It's either going to be a 12a turbo or a ca18. Just finalising some prices then going from there. I might just run the stock diff while I'm running the car in. Just enjoy the sleeper look for a bit then put the Hilux in and a set of convos.

I'm not planing on it to last. Just something I can use until I start taking the car to the track. I have a Hilux diff already but cannot run the stock 12 inch wheels with it.

hay guys. I'm currently in the process of building a ke20. not sure on the motor option yet but will be something turbo. hopefully around the 250rwkw mark. now i want to keep the sleeper look with the standard wheels and tyres for now. what diff will be a fairly simple bolt in with a LSD centre that i could run the standard ke20 wheels. keep in mind i want to do this on a budget as i will be putting a hilux diff and tubs down the track. cheers guys.

hay guys, cheers for the comments. I'm thinking along the same lines to be honest. each time i drive her it just keeps on getting better. i was thinking keeping the stock look (wheels and all) and putting a ca18 in it as i don't have to modify anything to get it in.

I've changed it back to a stock ke20 steering wheel and just got my self some stock hubbies and wheels. Going to get them white walled this weekend.

She is clean in and out man.

Took her out for a cruise on Sunday. Had the aircon pumping. Did a 300km round trip and she didn't skip a beat. This car is unbelievable.

Cheers for the comments guys. Appreciate it. I am keeping the full sleeper look. No cage no nothing. All orig interior orig paint and all. I will have to mod the trans tunnel that's it. Even then I will paint it the bamboo colour. The aircon works better than my Hilux aircon hahahahahah and yes once I start building I will be parting with the aircon, hubcaps and steering wheel.

It's a tough call man. Do I find a beaten down 26 and fix all the stuff wrong with it like rust etc paint it interior and so on or just keep this build clean.

Hay guys just got my new 26 wagon. It's a one owner log book car with a genuine 37000kms on the clock. It's completely standard with near perfect paint and interior. The only two things the old fella changed were the hub caps and steering wheel (wich are genuine Celica) I will be parting with these if anyone is interested. Plans for the wagon are to leave the paint and interior as is. I was going to do a rotary but we already have one of these going around so I will be building a fj20 with a manual for it. Keep you all posted with pics threw out. I hope you enjoy.

what leafs are you running. and who did your coil overs.

just picked up a minnnttttt stock as a rock 26 wagon. white in colour. plans are to leave the paint and interior and still but my 13bbpt in it. kind of a sleeper look for now until things get serious. 13b series 6 bridgeport turbo supre 5 speed (for now) hilux diff i have a set of ae86 coil overs for it. convo pros slotted falcon brakes all round just confused what set up to run on the rear. what leafs/shocks do i use. keep in mind the car will have some killer bees underneath her.

little up date on the car. as i started pulling it apart i noticed more and more shit that was not worth fixing. the car was not to any standard even worth trying to fix. rust threw out the whole car that was repaired with fibre glass and bog. I'm that disappointed its a joke. i stripped all that was worth stripping and threw the shell in the scrap yard. worst car i have ever bought.

car has been checked already and with a small list of things that i need to do i can get it engineered no problem.

this thing makes other corollas look weak man. i love it. tough as nails.

i know it will end up on the track a lot more than the road but i love my manuel. it will start off as a streeter. but i can see what will happen hahahaha
