Agreed. Old people off the roads. had one lady today who stopped in the middle of the road without pulling over or anythin to let her passenger out. They had a nice chat aswell. In the mean time i'm sitting there wondering whether or not i should overtake the old lady or if she would move as soon as i went to over take.

Would stop people from being dickheads i guess. But an old grandma's idea of hooning is alot different to the actual definition. I had an old man yelling at me because i had to brake hard when he decided to cross the road right in front of me without looking. Wouldn't be fair to be dobbed in for that would it. My car gets defected cause old man things i was driving too fast.

Apparently here in SA (don't know about other states) the police are/have bought in a system where anyone can "dob" p platers in for "driving dangerously" or "hooning" and the cops take their word for it and you the driver get slashed with either a fine or loss of licence. Apparently they are bringing this in to stop kids from hooning around in local neighbourhoods etc. what are your thoughts on this. Wouldn it be your word against theirs. I have recently looked at a vehicle for sale which the owner says may need the valve stem seals to be replaced. I was just wondering how expensive/hard this would be to fix?? I have searched the forums and couldn't find anything so sorry if i am reposting an old thread. The car is an early model 83 celica (i know it's not a corolla but it's a toyota). Nah it's just hours with any experienced driver. By the way how do you think they police this. They can't it goes on honesty. So a 20 minute drive is actually a 2 hour drive etc etc. I'm glad i didn have to do this crappy system i passed logbook last yr in 19 days with 3 lessons. Too Easy!!!!

SA rules are 6 months l's + 50 hours of driving + 10 hours night driving. i also think there is a curfew aswell. dunno how that works but yeh. sorry to hijack your thread dude but does anyone know the p1/p2 rules here in SA. pm me or somethin i need ta know. 2 years is just rediculous.

Sorry it's hard to include sarcasm in these forums. saying that my uncle had 2 of em an they seemed to take a thrashing. Then it only took him 26,000 k's to get his xr6 turbs needin a rebuild. Seems to me as though the holden is atleast a better base than a ford. :P.

Hey, my mate has just recently bought a Ke30 auto :lolcry: as a daily and wants to know how much it will cost to get a manual gearbox,transmission etc put in. The engine is a 1.3 which i'm not sure what it's name is (3k or 4k). We r in the adelaide area an were wondering if anyone can help us out with parts or even recomend where to go for a good deal etc. any help would be appreciated. cheers
