  1. seca yes hatch no. The difference between the seca models was mostly trim and equipment... the exterior parts are the same. The hatch, however, has a slightly different nose... but all mechanical parts are interchangeable.
  2. I wonder if he cries himself to sleep at night...
  3. SA have to pay every year for custom plates? That sucks! I paid $415 for mine, but thats it... I have them for life, no ongoing fee...
  4. My demister doesn't ork either... but I always assumed that was a good thing, especially on cod mornings
  5. oh dear I hate to be the bearer of bad news (and it may mean nothing too you anyway) but Murd (spelt merde, but pronounced the same) is French for, um... shit.
  6. They aren't glued or anything, they just fit really tight on the spindle.

When the shit hits, and the continuum starts folding in on itself, just remember two things. Infinite mass All points in the universe simultaneously And you'll be fine. Oh and remember, time isn't linear....

Don't make me get Quantum on yo ass...
  9. ^^^ What he said. If the head gasket is blown, the inside of the oil filler cap will resemble a caramel milkshake. mmm. Caramel milkshake.....
  10. I'm trying to forget the chicken hero
  11. Bah... I have several suitable E7 shells up here already... unfortunately none of them could legally tolerate a 1JZ rogering... The Mazda only weighs 1380kg... which is enough to engineer it but not so much that it would be a slug. Plus, the traffic light effect would be priceless :bash:
  12. Fear the modified Micra... they are a formidable beast when provoked
  13. It will be even quicker in the mazda, which surprisingly, weighs less :)
  14. Dodgy phone vid
  15. Nah... I would prefer to stick the engine into something that weighs less than Sweden
  16. Dear Toyota DON'T f@$k IT UP Regards, The last of the brand loyal Toyota enthusiasts.
  17. There are few scant motorsport facilities up here, but i don't think this poser barge is suited to any of them... Too fat to drift Too heavy to Khana Too fat heavy and fragile to rally Drag racing is pointless, boring, and expensive Speedway is for banjo playing inbred yokels with not enough teeth or chromosomes Nope... this beastie's natural habitat is the street, burbling around attracting painfully attractive, fickle women like a fist full of greenies and a 5 year plan. But, since it can't be registered, I'm gunna rip its guts out and shove them into something completely inappropriate. Purely for my own amusement. :)
  18. I actually managed to get it running an hour or two ago... Vrooooooom-pssssssshhhhhhhht :)
  19. I'm sorry what was that? I didn't quite catch it... I'm having trouble hearing you over the sound of my own awesomeness
  20. cheers rolla_kid... couldn't be arsed doing it myself... and admittedly the thought of Jip (any many others) staring at the screen with head tilted 90 degrees kept me kinda amused for a little while :) Jono: They did come JZ from factory, but in this case it was originally a GA70, with a 1G-GTTE. Jip: I ran out of fingers after 10 and I can't be bothered taking my shoes off to count any higher so I'm not sure. Silverra: I have looked into getting new plates etc, but having done some cafe napkin calculations on restoration costs I think I will save myself the bureaucratic nightmare and just pinch the driveline, part the rest out. It can be done, but the paper trail will be immense. As it was imported under the old rules I'll need to get a new LO1 import plate issued, build plate from another GA70 import, new VIN number, and to top it off, a modplate for the JZ conversion... *sigh* I think I will stick the driveline into THIS :D Going to fiddle with it today, see if it will fire up. Also need to slide under and ID the gearbox... its missing the shifter, which is annoying. Oh and I only just noticed, its an Aero-top ;)
  21. Ironically, when I first saw it I was kinda hoping it had the 1G so I could shove it in a 'rolla  But a 1JZ is fine.... don't get me wrong :lolcry: I have yet to check which GB it has... its an early JZ and I'm not sure whether its a W or R series. Either way it shifts well and the clutch feels like a HD item... Going to be fun pulling it down and seeing what other goodies it has... I just found a Blitz BOV and boost controller...
  22. Went to the local council abandoned vehicle auctions the other day. It was raining fairly hard, and the auction itself is held outdoors, so only myself and two other people bothered to show up. (and they were more interested in an old tractor) Bonnet latch was stuck... council guys didn't even bother to pop it. Oh if they had.... Its a GA70 (import) converted to a twin turbo 1JZ... and manual. Nice set of 18's too. The bidding was intense... but I managed to buy it.... For $50. The opening bid. Unfortunately all the build and compliance plates have been flogged, so it'll never be registered again... So this thread will eventually turn into the buildup of whatever vehicle I decide to shoehorn this driveline into. I have a few ideas :lolcry:
  23. Aaaaanyway... Was actually trying to get a pic of the RX2 on the left, but failed entirely. Thought somebody may find the signwriting on the back of the ute amusing though... Now... does anyone else find this childrens carousel/instrument of mechanical sexual gratification a little disturbing? Or am I just a dirty old bugger who has been to eastern europe too many times...
