-
helllllllllll y ea this is what it needed back when i owned it hahaha good to see things are moving along quickly ryan good work henry :P
-
haha yea you got a point there scotty... i don't even want to think about regency... i have been lucky so far and haven't had to take any of the older cars i have owned there... but the ke11 would be up there with the cleaner and more original older cars i have owned!!! i have seen a few mates pass regency inspections with old cars.. (datsun 1200 utes etc) he could have avoided the situation if he wasn't driving like an idiot which frustrated the policeman who initially defected the car... but yea your right there it often can take a few goes they always find a worn bushing or somthing to send you back through for a second time... :P :( any way today i put ke20 disc brakes on the front of the little 11 so she should pull up nicely  had been meaning to get around to this prior to even putting the 5k in, took a while to find the hubs, calipers and disc's. :D I'm waiting on getting engine parts back from the polisher then the 5k goes straight... i took the gearbox out and cleaned that up with the high pressure hose came up clean as!! cheers henry
-
you summed it up well there scott! :| i have been pulled into breath stations.... and the police have all complimented the car on how clean and original it is!!! if it was scrapping along the ground it most likley would have been a different story...

its not getting slammed nearly as low as some of my old ke20's were... thats if i lower it at all.... don't want to lose the grandma image it will be for sale one day..... probably alot sooner than later as well cheers henry

bit of an update for the daily kE11 the original 3k had a leaking rear main seal... not to bad only needed to top it up every now and then... buut now that i have finished uni i have heaps of time on my hands... sooo i pulled the 3k out, and after reading the following link --->http://www.rollaclub.com/board/?showtopic=20143 to do with putting a 5k in a ke11 i relised how easy the swap was! i have come to the conclusion that i would be silly not to put it in.... bit more power and i already had the motor and webber sitting there! :( the ke11, already had non standard exhuast with extractors (probably just a replacement as the orignial one most likley rusted away) so i can run my delloroto webber due to the fact that the 'redline' manifold i have will fit! i have had a 5k sitting in the shed for ages, i was planning on putting into my ke10 one day when its eventually resprayed... but for the time being its going in the white ke11... so the rocket cover, alternator, manifold, and timing cover are off getting polished i bought a complete seal conversion kit, sump, timing, rocket, thermostate housing, exhuast and inlet manifolds and everything else etc... so when it goes in i won't have any leaks *fingers crossed* I'm going to paint the block in black engine enamel... the engine bay to beguin with it wasn't too bad..but i hit it up with the high pressure hose and degreaser came up fairly clean!!! so i don't reckon i will bother respraying it as i think it might ruin the originality of the car as well... I'm on the lookout for some front ke20 struts, hubs, and disc brakes so it stops a bit better as well :y: ill get some pics up shortly of the progress.

hahahah i should post up all the the old vids when i had the extend port in there the little ke always looked good doing circles.... ahah can't even believe it stays on the ground with the turbo hanging on the side... surprised it doesn't become airbourne.. but i guess traction is an issue it was even for me when i had it !!! i told a few of my mates what you have done to it.. they were all in shock hahaha :P the good kind though!! have to catch up soon ryan cheers henry

-
I'm pretty keen to go to this!!! fair drive from adelaide though...
-
I'm sure scotty can confirm this better than me... but the hot rod style mirror gives it away for me... pretty sure that willow green ke20- is the former PMP 020... the dudes a good bloke his gf cruises around in it, i dropped off some parts ages ago he lived right down south. he planned to restore it get rid of the rust etc.. but yea thats it from what i can see..
-
spotted a white ke20 on unley rd yesterday arvo... got the air horns from him pretty sure its mitch4397 car..?
-
why you selling it ryan??
-
sorry to hear about that crash dude!! thats fuked! fingers crossed its fixable... if not..annnd if you part it out I'm keen on the complete front struts and disc brakes... let me know via pm cheers henry :lmao:
-
get keen for the cruise me and benzo are going to organise - somtime in mid december!!!!!!!! heaps of rollas old and new skool and anything else that feels like tagging along.. the ae is overrated as... i thought it had been resprayed you never see any in this colour!!!! :jamie: looks good cause its different to all the other 'drift pig' ones.. cheers henry
-
hahah not a problem man :jamie:
-
haven't got any 26 parts haydo... but if your keen on 20 parts shoot a pm over with what your after and well go from there. na haven't done a 7k conversion but from what i have heard its not too hard. :y:
-
its definatley an improvement thats for sure..! the daily got a tune and timing done and points done today running sweet as  car just needs a good wash and polish ;)
-
mounted it to the front of the rad (grille side), so it pushes the air through... you can change the fan blades around or the palarity by swapping the wires... there was not enough room to fit any fan inbetween the engine and rad. got it from sprint auto, was like $85.00 then temp switches are around the 40 dollar mark. no pics as yet. will post some up.. cheers henry
-
yea the pics were very average... i was very suprised when i walked up the driveway at how clean and original it was. the boot is black cause its an SL model... I'm getting to like it.. bit unqiue. hahah the 5k staying took me a while to find one... they are getting harder and harder to get these days!!! update for the daily kE11 got the radiator freshly recored... was working fine, but with summer coming up...( the fins had seen better days) it would to have been done sooner or later... so i thought i would get it done why i can etc... also got a ten inch thermo fan and temp switch, as the standard 2 blade clutch fan is not that effective. completely serviced it as well, diff and gearbox oil, engine oil, all filters, spark plugs, leads etc.etc. running beautifully!!!! only other thing i might do is the points, and get a tune. loving it so far though, :rolls: gets heaps of looks ahah cheers for all the comments!! :lolcry: henry

cheers man. ummm not to sure what year it is off the top of my head :D i have a feeling its 1969 but i could be wrong..its stored at the beach house shed at the moment so ill check next time i get up there! ill get around to putting them up on the data base as well :y: ben that would be awsome.. but i heard that motor has low comp though... and i dunno if i can be bothered doing another rotary conversion... one into a ke10 would be a challange, need to put in a whole new trans tunnel if you want to run a decent gearbox, would need bigger diff, and definatley decent size disc and sus setup on the front. not to mention all the crossmember and mounts, bigger radiator and oil cooler.. i reckon the shell is to clean to cut up and butcher!! and then it will never be engineered due to the power to weight ratio... i duno I'm thinking of dropping the 5k off for a complete rebuild etc etc with a few bits a pieces next week and then chucking on my side draft webbers and just running that.. from what i have heard the little ke10's go good with a 5k..my ke11 is not to bad with is 3k if its only just me in the car haha :) got it locally... snapped it up as soon as i saw it. was looking for a more modern car as a daily... but as soon as i saw it i had to have it!! ;)
-
haha the ke10 hasn't changed alot in the last year...although i have slowly been buying stuff for it. and had the hanging panels sandblasted we gotta organise a rolla cruise soon your new 30 sounds tuff..! ill shoot you a pm now reguarding the car.
-
cheers for all the comments :D umm it was originally an olive / light green colour... i have changed my mind a few times, but keep coming back to factory colour, but I'm having all inside the doors and boot sprayed etc.. so doesn't mean it will look tacky with the inside on the inside of doors being a different colour if that makes sense. :) i have a family friend who is a car trimmer and retrimmed some of my ke20 seats and they looked awsome! so the seats roof lining, (mayybe dash pad need to speak to him about that).. and door trims are all going off there when i get around to it. work on the ke10 is slowing down though cause i have the 11 to cruise around now but it will be completed one day :y: but will keep updates coming ill take some pics of the side draft carbies, 5k etc.etc. and all the bits and pieces i have lieing around for the ke10 soon cheers henry
