  1. tom your a legend! i actually tackled it myself late last night, after reading your first post saying you could pop out the pins! :D (luckily i got them out without any damage) and between looking at the wiring diagrams i have, my multi-metre and the back of the two dash clusters i worked out the same sequence as you! i have labelled all the wires, and that just need to physically put it in and check it works! and run a wire from the neg of the coil to the cluster! (I'm not running an electronic dizzy) so it should read accurate. cheers again for the help / advice and for doing the tech thread if that was up a few weeks ago i would have been laughing, i was just to lazy to work it out myself, but your post about the pins gave me a push in the right direction! cheers henry
  2. ahhh very nice tom! yea i have both wiring diagrams, only had a quick look at it.. but i can identify most the wires.. i was thinking of getting another plug and wiring to that and using some connectors... but it would be even easier with the original plug if you could pop the pins out!! let me know if you find it man, or want to help swap it round! cheers henry
  3. hi guys, would appreciate any advice / knowledge on this, from what i can see from the two dash clusters i have (one standard) and one (ke15 sprinter tacho dash) it physically fits well, from what my owners manual says it was a factory option? along with many other items.. the acelerator cable mount points may be different :jamie: . but will not be able to be swapped as the ke15 item has a tripometer as well. the main plug has one more pin. although it does fit on the back ke15 cluster everything does not work. as it does not line up properly. i have amoungst my owners manual and books a wiring diagram for a ke11 and ke15. I'm thinking the only solution will be to re- wire the main plug so everything lines up and works. possibly use a second plug ke15 one maybe? so that i can always swap back to the original cluster. i know the tacho will have to be wired seperatley as the loom in the car does not have the standard wires for the tach option. this can just be run from the neg on the coil though. just thought i would post up here incase somone else has some advice / expereince.. the wiring diagrams are fairly basic and it hopefully shouldnt be to hard to nut it out. any help is much appreciated. cheers :y: henry

  6. luke, i remember talking to you about it on the cruise.. and remember you had to have a hole cut.. was just checking which box was in there as i am too curious to whether a early ke3# 5 speed fits :n: all good though cheers for the info. henry
  7. hey luke, just wondering is your five speed box a ke3# one or a ke7# style one?? cheers :locked: henry.
  8. hey dude, can get pics of centre console. and steering wheel. still trying to source a tacho dash and gear knob. thinking about making a underdash shelf.. as most these days are destroyed. i have a SL model ke11. it came standard with the gearbox console, i bought the steering wheel seperately. i believe the steering wheel, gearbox console, gear knob and underdash shelf were all factory dealer options.. for the SL ke11's where as the ke15 SL sprinters came standard with this.. *someone correct me if I'm worng* henry.
  9. hahah cheers tom! got a complete new exhaust as well :n: the original one was getting back pressure cause it was too small. and it wasn't mounted the best. and kept popping exhuast manifold gaskets... thanks to 'marky at exhuast tech' it has an awsome 2 inch system with all new hangers and mounts, into a lukey sports muffler with a nice crome tip!. really happy with it, :locked: well have to catch up soon, ill show you the suss setup I'm running! will do soon ryan.
  10. only thing wrong is the black mirror besides that it is beautiful!!!
  11. wow!! wish my driveway had those cars sitting in it! very nice! cheers henry
  12. the pics are good nick! but fark, this looks so much better in real life! i saw it parked the other day and was in shock makes me miss my mustard ke20!!!
  13. youll notice a huge different with some disc brakes on there luke... i feel alot safer when driving my now than with the drums. :P
  14. cheers luke! :y: sing out if you have any questions.. took me a while to work out which road to go town so many different options... but I'm happy with how it sits and handels now  ill take some pics and post them up soon i have 2 inch blocks for the back but haven't decided whether or not ill put them in yet... it sits nice and flat and a good ride height at the moment... guess well see :hmm: definatley have to get your 11 and tom's wagon together for a bit of a cruise / photos when the weather comes nice again ;)
  15. they look like they would do the job well tom! if you want to have a suss of mine, before you decide feel free to drop pass work or whatever... I'm heaps impressed with how well it handels and stiffness etc.. this is with no sway bar as well.. can only get better with one :y:
  16. the 11 now has a brand new set of 'gabriel' sealed oil shockers, and custom 4.5kg springs made to suit a ke20 top hat. after much debate which track to go down with front suspension, i spoke to ryan- slo 030 and a fellow at his work who both knew there stuff in regards to suspensions options. with their advice i removed the front leaf, as its hard to lower the car and get it handeling decently with the leaf still intact. i am shocked how much better it handel with new shockers and springs, the original items were stuffed, the shocks were completely rooted and the standard springs act more as a stabelizer (they are ridiculously soft) - due to the original front leaf doing majority of the work. effectively i now have a similar set up to a ke20 corolla front end, with no front leaf and ke20 top hat. i followed philbey / scott's DIY ke20 top hat swap >>http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?title=Lowering_KE1x_Front_using_KE2x_parts will give her a clean and post up a few piccs soon. :y: :y:
  17. this car is awsome!!!!! well done man good work!! keep the fresh piicces coming :y:
  18. saw you crusing along belair rd the other day mitch, its looking gangsta man! will have to catch up with you, nick and jordan soon for a cruise!!!
  19. spoke to a guy at 'industrial springs today', who knew alot about the ke10 and 20 style suspension set ups.. and he said the best way about going about it is to remove the front leaf pack altogether and run custom ke20 style / stiffer, thicker springs in the front. basically making the car have a similar suspension setup to a ke20. elminating the leaf packs. i have a custom set of 2.5 lower and 4.5kg springs on order, hopefully this does the job. think i will probably get a whiteline swaybar as well.
  20. it just sits inbetween the window rubber and glass... if your rubber is hard, pry it gently with a flat head screw driver or somthing similar... it will be a tight fit, and may require some love to get it in there properly. :)
  21. nice work man look awsome!!! philbey if you do yours, i would like to see how i have always wanted one as well, that goes along to whole length of the car.. like the factory ones!
