how did it go at blackwood dyno??

mitch, got the car back friday... pulled 45 kilowatts on the dyno with a big manifold gasket leak... was still driveable just sounded like a tractor haha (scotty and ryan will back this up) sorted it out with a new gasket on saturday.. drove it all weekend no dramas at all.. the service was slow.. car was there for 8 days buut seems as so the work is alright, i did have to have the dellorto re jetted and corrected. ill post up the dyno sheet and some pics of her later today!

saw him tonight he reckons it wasn't him... as the car has no rego and a flat battery... :dance: must be a double crusing around cause he definatley has an obese sticker and its bamboo haha

picking car up from the tuner's this arvo so ill be at the meet point, and prob some of the cruise... cheers for the offer to ride with you as well ryan.. thought i might have had to take you up on it, but got an unexpected call this morning! :dance: catchya there cheers henry

took it to specialty tuning at marion... my usual guy i go to, dyno was broken! and he recommended these guys.. apparantley they have been having some trouble with it.. :lolcry: hopefully it all gets sorted out and i get it back soon!

update*** i had the brake master and calipers completley rebuilt for safetys sake, and passanger side piston's was sticking... STOPS exceptionally well now! adjusted the rear drums, bleed the whole car, adjusted the pedal and took her for the first spin Idles prefect, few flat spots under hard acceleration but I'm really happy with hows its running at least enough to drive it to the tuner's this thursday! ( was ment to be done last friday, but didn't get the brake parts rebuilt in time) after that *fingers crossed* i won't have to touch another spanner for a while.. :wink: cheers henry

no need for a shroud, you can change the polarity of the fan so it pushes the air through the rad, i have a fresh recore rad in my car, and fan with a temp switch - set to the lowest setting think its around the 84 degree mark... fan only switches on when sitting at the lights, if I'm going at walking pase or on a really really hot day... mine works fine without one, basically identical setup to philbey's as well! love this waggon dude :dance: sooo nice! :lolcry: cheers henry

hahah yea the amount of times i have said somthing so very similar to that the last few weeks could not be counted with two hands!! bloody cars, hot weather and things not going right / to plan.. :yes: but i guess thats how we learn right haha ?

well know when i get it tuned i guess, might get a power run done as a bit of a joke haha but the main thing is that it will have a bit more poke than the 3k!!

philbey, sounds good man feel free to stop in any time the little kE is out the front! update--> sorted out an airfilter for the webber today, and an accelerator cable.. for the accelerator cable ended up using a modified 'range rover' one that i once had on the 13b mazda 1300... worked a treat :y: . only two more things till shes rolling the radelaide streets. :D 1. bleed brakes possibly have master rebuilt. 2. new battery and ill get a tune done when i get time to book it within the next fortnight! cheers henry

sounds good ryan!! update.. shes running, really well infact! started first pop! needs a few small issues sorted such as accelerator cable and air filters... bolt the bonnet back on and it will rolling around on the streets!! :cool: cheers henry
