I have been on here for a while now and thought i would post up a thread.

This is my first corolla and definately not the last... This thread is for me as

much as it is for you because I hope gain an understanding of the value of my ke20

as there is a chance it may be up for sale soon. I will list as much information

about my car as i can below.

 

Engine

 

The engine is a 3k-h (from memory) and is a 1.1 litre. The engine is

completely stock, only warn things have been replaced over time. It has

recently had a major service and tune. things replaced and paid attention to are -

 

- Castrol oil

- Oil filter

- Fuel filter

- Spark plugs

- Contact points

- Fuel hose

- wipers

- Hose clamps

 

 

 

Interior

 

Every peice of the interior is original except 3 minor additions -

 

- New inertia seatbelts

- New seat covers

- Cd player + speakers note - nothing has been drilled to do this, cd is in glovebox & the speakers are not in door cards. They are placed under the dash.

The car has venetians

 

Exterior

 

The 34 year old paint has held up reasonably well. The car is always parked undercover and is washed/dryed frequently.

There are a few dents from uncaring people in carparks! The dents could be easy popped out with minimul fuss.

There are 2 minor rust spots sizing from a five cent to a ten cent piece.

The car sits on its original wheels. Tyres are new and have whitewalls.

 

Extras

 

I have many extras ranging from -

 

- Springs

- Front shocks - Monroe

- Brake hoses x2

- Sun visor

- Differential

- 2 litres Diff oil.

looks extremely tidy id hate to have to be puting a price on this/selling this i no in NZ this would go for big $

Tidy as, would be worth a bit seeing its an original in such good nick :)

Why are you thinking of selling such a nice one ?

From the pics and what ive seen in real life, its definatly one of the better ones. very tidy and original. 3 odd....4 odd.....any where around there, still not sure. your guna regret selling it! i don't think i culd part with my beast.....

Its funny how I never found these cars appealing but now, the longer I'm with rollaclub, they grow on me. It looks HOT!!

wouldnt sell for any less than 3Gs

 

depends if u find the right buyer.

last time i saw it in person, the differnt panel colours were realy noticable.

this is one very nice condition very original ke20, I'm glad that you didnt drill or cut any wholes in the interior :hmm:

 

ye i deffinatly wouldnt let it go for less than 3g, not like me... :dance: but i really needed it gone and regretted it after haha as always,

 

i reckon even with the faded paint that its worth around $3.500 to 4, ya just have to wait for the right buyer ay, and that dosnt always happen straight away...

 

but if someone wants a shmicko original ke20 that much I'm sure they would pay close to 4g.

Haha Haydo, you sold her way to cheap, you should've waited another few hours for my offer..

 

I would say this would be worth around $3500-$4000 to the right buyer.

 

It does have some slightly faded paint, and a tiny bit of rust but its definitely one of the best originals I've seen.

Fixed the indicators today! I had to take off the steering wheel and covers to clean it all up. The problem was

the amount of grime blocking the connection... 34 years of muck and grime blocking it all up!

I used cotton buds and metho, worked very well! Have had a few people interested, if anything happens i will give you an update

and tell you if the car is up for sale.

I have decided to keep the ke20 and replace brake hoses, front shocks and front springs! :bash:

The only things which really need attention are the break hoses because they have cracks in them. The front shocks as they have gone soft and the diff.

These things will be fixed very soon, just need to book it in! These are the only pictures i could find...
