Hi All, about to get my ke10 blue slipped in NSW and noticed the passenger front seat belt has a frayed. Whats the best option? Can you get replacements, or can you use a later model set? Is there any new ones that can be fitted without modifying the anchor points? thanks, Anthony

Just be careful getting the bolts off. I snapped one. Prick of a thing to get out then!

That is awesome. I am amazed you got it engineered. Very tight fit in the engine bay. Do you know a friendly engineer who can certify cars???? :P

Any One Have A Pic Of The Clutch Cable On The Bellhouse?
AJC replied to AJC's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
Thanks Philby. Yes should have said its a K motor. There is a hole in the gearbox bell housing that looks to give about the right position, except the auto plate has that blocked off. I did not realise the auto and manual had different sandwich plates. I just wanted to check before I start drilling and filing. The end of the cable sheath looks to have a notch/recess to allow a c-clip to retain it in position once located in the bell housing. Thanks for your help. Anthony -
Managed to get it off. Just used a jack handle against the ground and teeth on the flex plate to lever against to undo the bolts. Didn't need much just something to hold it. I got some good pics and will do a write up. There were a couple little tricks to getting the auto box out. thanks for the advice guys. Anthony

Thanks, I ended out locating the bolts on the back side of the flex plate. Only trick was chocking the flex plate to allow the bolts to be undone. Tomorrows adventure will be fitting the new gear box.

Almost a year and I haven't had time to even look at Noddy. :) We parts have been sourced. twin SU 1.5" + man toyoglide badge all the parts for manual conversion including a clutch cable bracket (the stand off bracket from the firewall - Brothers mate made it out of stainless steel no less) battery just gotta find time

Post some pics. I was thinking about playing around with mine shortly.

Not mine. My brother was driving. Some knob ran a red light on him. He got cleaned up at about 80km/h. Hit hard enough that it split the block. Club lock was found about 50m down the road Driver = 6 months in rehab. Broken Fema. Banged up pretty bad. Front passenger = knee reconstruction and stitches to head (he put it through the window) Rear passenger = nothing. Walked away.

Caveat emptor.... "Let the buyer beware".... If you did not miss-lead the guy, were not decieteful or misrepresent the condition of the veihcle then you have done nothing wrong and the police should not be interested. Shit luck for the guy but thats life. Sounds like you are being more than reasonable and if he challanged you, I don't think he would have a leg to stand on.
