  1. Hi There, just about to do a disc upgrade on my Ke10. I am doing ke20 disc upgrade which is relatively easy. Check out the link at the top of the screen -> Knowledge Base/FAQ There are heaps of options depending on how much $ you wish to spend and whether you want to keep the current wheels or move to the larger PCD 114. http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...ont_Disc_Brakes
  2. Thanks for the info. Now the proud owner of a set of SU's with heat sheild. Exhaust to be done soon...
  3. Hi All, I am looking at purhasing a set of HS4 1.5" SU's bolted to a 'K' lynx manifold for an essentially stock 4k motor. Motor is currently running stock exhaust set up. Questions is this; Can I run this set up with the stock exhaust or do I need to run extractors to fit the SU's and 'K' lynx manifold? Any help is appreciated.. Thanks, Anthony
  4. Check the timing. Also would be worth checking the vacuum advance... Timing light and give it some revs to check the timing does advance and isn't sticking
  5. Thanks Mr Felix....
  6. Hi All, I have a ke10, and I am about to do a front drum to disc upgrade with a set of ke20 rotors, calipers, backing plates etc..... on stock ke10 struts and stubs. I have searched the FAQ and can not locate this detail. I wanted to know what bearings I should use; I think from memory it was ke10 outers and ke20 inners? Is this right? Are there any other hidden traps like the brake lines - are they interchangable? Thanks, Anthony
  7. Hi All, Just about to do a manual conversion on my ke10 and the point where the clutch cable goes through the fire wall is blanked off. It doesn't have the stand off part that was factory on the manuals allowing for you to then adjust the cable.... (attached is the part that I am missing) Any suggestions for getting around this problem?? thanks, Anthony
  8. I'd take two white ones please.
  9. Definitley would want one. Happy to pay so extra $$ to support the site.
  10. Stock ke10 with 4k around the chatswood/Lane cove area - Once I get it re-rego'd
  11. I guess that rules out the 1.75 SU's on a stock 4k..... :locked:
  12. Howdy, looking at a set of SU's for an as yet unmodified 4K motor (long term will probably get a cam). I have read the FAQ section, however there is no mention of whether a 1.75" SU would be to big for an essentially stock 4k motor. Any thoughts, experiences? Anthony
  13. Yep Pedders are only stock style shocks, fairly spongy. Do Koni make ones for the ke10 strut?
  14. Sweet looking ride. Love the stock looking exhaust. have you got a dump hidden under the back?
  15. If the max rating of the alternator is 40amps, your fuse should be rated above that (what is called the fusing factor). For electrcial fuse (eg 415V used on your power networks - I'm a protection engineer with a NSW electricity company) we use a factor of 1.5->2. Perhaps try 60amps fuse. you could probably get away with a 40amp as it is unlikely you are going to load the alternator right up to its limit. however if you do run 40amps through a 40amp fuse over time it will weaken an eventualy blow - when there isn't a genuine need for it to blow. Remeber the alternator is rated to 40amps, if you have a fault on the wiring it will deliver greatly in excess of 40amps and 60amp will clear the fault still quick enough. As to the size of the wire not sure? Anthony
  16. Thanks for the info!!!! Looks like I am set for all the parts then. I was unsure about the tailshaft but that is tops news.... Anthony

    Ajc's 69 Ke10

Spare car. I'm not after something quick. My bike does that for me! My older brother had two of these about 15 years ago and I have always loved the shape. I'm looking at upgrading the front to disc and do a manual convesion. Perhaps a small exhaust and possibly a cam. Going to basically keep it as stock as possible. I have a mate who owns a panel beating shop and he has offered to strip it to bear metal and respray it for cost.... However I want to get the mechanicals squared away first.
  18. Name: Anthony Car: 69 KE10 Motor & Driveline: 4k, 2 speed toyoglide :) stock motor stock exhaust - look to upgrade shortly stock carby Suspension & Brakes: Currently drums all round. Should have parts to do ke20 front disc conversion shortly Wheels & Tyres: Stock. Hubcaps n'all Interior: Stock black Body: good condition minus small dent around tail light. Some small rust. Once I have sorted the mechanicals out its gonna be completly taken back to bear metal. Other: There is no other! Thought it would be cool to get some pictures before I had to turn in the Tassie plates.
  19. Thanks guys. I used my trust $20 aldi digital calipers to check this one out. Guess what I measured 110mm. Btw - doing the brake conversion is there any real advantage to going to the ke55 disc/calipers over the ke20. Reason I ask is that I have sourced a good pair of ke20 hubs, rotors calipers etc.... Thanks, Anthony
  20. Took a little bit of stuffing about with the camera to get it in focus but here goes: Hope this helps, Anthony
  21. Thanks for that. Btw the FAQ specifies that the ke20 hubs must be be KE10/mazda stud pattern. Is there an easy way to tell? Would be very keen to see some photos of your conversion. Anthony
  22. HI all, looking to do front disc conversion on ke10. I have read the section in FAQ about this and had a couple more questions. http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit...ont_Disc_Brakes If you go for the ke55 disc/calipers do you still use the ke20 hubs? or can you use a later model hub (eg ke30,55 etc...)? Can you readily get the ke10 bearing sets? and if so does anyone know where from? I assume once this is complete then you need to go to 13inch rims to get clearace on the calipers? Does anyone have any photos of the conversion? Thanks, Anthony
  23. [ You could also try timing and points.
  24. Hi There, I have a Ke10 with a 4K motor in it. Currently it is running the toyoglide 2 speed auto box. I am going to do the manual conversion however I wanted to double check that I had all the parts that I need. Also any hits/tricks that you can let me know about would be appreciated. I currently have a 4 speed box (K40). Part I believe I need: KE1* pedal assembly KE1* clutch cable flywheel off a 4 speed box - do the 4 and 5 speed use the same? Tail shaft - I assume that I need a KE1* 4 speed tail shaft or can I get one out of a ke2* series? Some mates + Beer and a weekend of friggin about under the car. I believe that I need to cut back the transmission tunnel as the gear leaver position is further set back than the auto. Does anyone know by how much? or is it a matter of try and see? Is there any modification required for the cross memeber that the gearbox sits on? or is it easier to try to source a cross member from a manual ke1* model? I was thinking initially I will not swap out the diff centre. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Anthony
  25. I think the standard white with good chrome work is awesome. I do like the blue you have there however. My brother has a 75 Mini in a similar colour and it looks hot.
