  1. The 2T I'm using comes out of a TA40 Carina, and I guess the engine block mounts original mounted on the engine is a bit different from the TE7x one. Sadly. wde_bdy: Thanks for the inputs. From what I could understand the engine have to be mounted a bit forward compared to the original mounts, and about 50mm seems right. But do I have to remove the gearbox braces completly? I do have one more KE70 with 2T (on the other side of the country), and I can't remember that we had to remove them in that car? Anyhow, the important thing is that the gearbox tailshaft gets in the right position..
  2. Hi! I'm about to put a 2T engine into my 1982 LHD KE70 on the original crossmember. To minimize the work I would prefer to make the new engine mounts without having to lift the engine in and out of the car for measuring. There must be someone which have done a similar conversion, but the question is: Does anyone have drawings of the engine mounts they had to make? Appreciate if any could take the time to measure and make some drawings, and take some pictures. Buying a T crossmember is not a choice, sorry. Regards from Norway :jamie:

  9. Hi, I have a T50 gearbox in my KE70, and want to get rid of the old clutchcable crap I have made. What parts do you suggest I use to get a proper solution? AE81 and AE86 parts are hard to find here in Norway. anyone got any pictures? EDIT: ment AE71

  11. Hi! I have a Ke70 with a 1980mod 2T-B engine and T-50 gearbox. I bought a stage 2 clutch for 70 - 77 Corolla with 2T-C and thought it would fit, but there are some differences between the orginal set which I had, and the new set that I bought. The Pressureplate is identical, just a bit stronger The clutchdisk is almost identical but i guess it fits Pigot-bearing is identical BUT the release-bearing is different. The innerdiameter is about 2mm smaller, and the bearing itself is about 5mm thinner. Do you know if there is any difference between the t50 boxes? (Release-bearing and so on. know about the spline differences and shifter position and so on) Sorry for my crappy english :)
  12. The 2 door ones is about as rare as the 4-door ones here in Norway. But its pretty hard to get AE86-stuff here. Like the A-bellhousing for T50 for example.
