  1. That would require some MAJOR stretch lol, the type of stretch thats a little too dangerous for me :hmm:
  2. a 10" under a stock guard!? Maybe at 4WD height haha. Ill have a good look under the guards sometime but i just can't see it, i figured i could get a 7 or 8 under there with some stretch but not something that huge? offset would have to be around 10+? I'm still liking my flares just to be different, and to prove they can look hot.
  3. Have you seen the current range of Simmons? They SUCK for retro cars, start at 16" and up. Not to mention have a 3k price tag is a little steep. Nothing against Simmons i had a set of B45's on my RA28 and they were of the highest quality. Only simmons i would consider would be maybe some old school V4 mesh style? I'm thinking of widing some 13" mazda wheels too as apposed to my 14's, i prefer the 13 when going real wide and that will give me a chance to sell my 14's as are with tyres and sets of whitewalls. Benzo theres a few places around adelaide that widen steel wheels, Adelaide Wheel and Rim works is one on south road and ill get back to you on others around adelaide.
  4. I don't have anything against spacers but not 20mm+ spaces though. i could of maybe run 10mm on front but rear would need about 20mm if not more.
  5. I'm sure i can manage it cheaper too, thats only one call to one shop, cash always gets things cheaper! Yay no Tax.
  6. Chances of me buying a good 25 is not overly high, nor realistic on my bank account. I know they look much much better jap spec but I want to prove that a 20 with flares CAN look very very good. With the right stance and figment they can look fantastic, I did very much like te27 flares when I test fitted them on my ke20. Besides if I was to buy a car specifially to go jap spec I would probally purchase a ta22 or even a ra28, not to say a 25 wouldn't look as good I just have something for the old celicas.
  7. I agree in that fact that the superlites were nice, i loved their style but if I'm changing the wheels it has to be perfect fitment or i wont be happy. Also lukes right superlites do not come in custom offsets, there is only one offset and thats -7 for the 13x7 and the rest of the range has positive offsets with flat faces. Making my steelies is probably the easiest option as i don't have to convert stud patterns either but i think it would be a last resort at this stage, i would much rather go for a nice set of jap spec wheels rather than steelies, although consider how much dish these could have at an extreamly low offset. Its a little hard to photo shop the wheels as well since i would be running flares also. Heres an example and the same thing i would be doing (polished lip with black centers) You tell me this golf is running skidders. Mines would probably look more like the rears.
  8. Since the superlights didn't fill a set of flares which I was going to run. And the other way they were too wide to pull out the guards, it was a shame their beautiful wheels.
  9. Hey guys since my superlites didn't really workout i was thinking of widening my steel wheels thats already on my corolla. I can have it done for around 120 per wheel with a polished lip and this way i could choose my offset and width. I'm was thinking of running flares with some 14 x 7.5 with -15 offset? which should fill flares very very nicely. What do people think it would look like? I can't decide, would probally leave the centers black and stretch some lower profile tyres on of course. Heres a pic as it is now:
  10. Sorry for the dodgy photoshops but you get the idea :P Although i would go more 'jap spec' with the 25 myself Sexy:
  11. I don't mind the gold rims, didnt you say you were considering having the lip polished Kim? Polished lip + gold centers + flappers = sex
  12. Superlites are up for sale!
  13. http://www.ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=169388 WOW, i don't think they would fit but still.
  14. I know i love the wheels, such a shame I'm pretty bummed about it.
  15. Well went down to Performance today (the actual factory!) to check out some 13x8 and run into a little problem, the 13x8's are very flat faced with absolute stuff all dish and have an offset of +4 (and only +4). Apparently the 13x7 are the only super lite to have a deep dish look that they make. Also they told me the offset was negative -7. Which made me measure mine again to find it is actually -7 instead of zero, i don't know how i stuffed that one up? BENZO take note of this lol, you may get away with a +5 or so? in 13x7 that is. So that means i can't really run the super lites, i would have to run some big spaces on front and rear to get them to sit flush which I'm not so sure about? If anyones interested in buying them off me give me a pm. Ill probably make a for sale thread tomorrow unless i decide to go with some big spacers. I'm thinking at this stage either find some wheels to fit inside the guards or find something on insane offsets thats quite wide and run the some flares, i did like Ravens flares on my car after all! My Ke20

Spent a little time polishing the rocker cover off my 3K today, real quick job only spend an hour or so when in reality around 3-4 hours is needed, sanding was quick. First step taken to cleaning up the engine bay, still a long way to go!
  17. you mean me? Nope never just picked up things over the years, I'm a very visual person, always been into art, drawing, photography and design.
  18. We will play around next cruise/meet, the canon's are great cameras and a pretty easy to use after a while. If you've only just brought it then it would be a 450D which is brand spanking new and is the new '400D' with some improvements.

    My Ke20

maybe because it was night :jamie: the paint isn't flash. But it looks clean and tidy Got the spelling right too well done, damn European brands and their difficult spelling. It would have to be the only KE20 aus wide with dynaudios in thats for sure!
  20. I think i might cry putting some multi's on my guards lol, i've considered it but i didn't want to really do a backyard style job, i haven't had enough experience with bodywork anyway. I need a 70 to hack up with mutli's and fiberglass lol.
  21. Your using a canon right? 400D like mine if i can remember? I usually use auto focus too but i usually set the focus point depending on the shot i'm taking, next cruise we can have a play around? a little off topic but heres a few of my other pictures I've taken: http://wook-designs.deviantart.com/gallery/ I haven't been into it for a while and I'm thinking i might get back into it a little as i know i can do better work then them :jamie:
  22. i was thinking about going for the fwd drag car style, haha fixed now i ment 10mm. There already stretched somewhat mate, there 175's on a 7"rim there is no possible way to fit them inside the standard guard even if I'm running a 135 lol. They stick out 30mm by the way.
  23. Heres what I'm thinking at the moment Option 1: Run 10mm spaces on front (already have), and use some 20mm on the rear Option 2: Run 10mm spaces on front and purchase new superlights in 13x8 with negative offset? (-4?) Option 3: Buy new wheels alltogether :jamie: Option 4: Do sweet fu*k all At the moment i'm liking option 2 but my wallet is liking option 1? Thoughts?
  24. Looking great Kim! Where did you take the photo's? thats a great location! Only thing i can pic is that in the last couple pics the car inst perfect focused on thats all but overall the look great. You could try playing around with the depth of field (if your using an slr) to bring more focus to the car while blurring the background slightly? Awsome job though :jamie:
  25. Went to try on ravens spaces tonight, just help them on there roughly. I liked the flares on the car thats for sure however the wheels did not fill the flares enough for my liking, so I'm not sure what to do now? they probably could of done with an extra 20mm on the rear and 10mm on the front of poke? so i'm not sure what i should do, might sell the wheels and look for something wider or possibly a negative offset? Big thanks to Raven for the use of the flares even though it was dark! See dodgy pics:
