  1. Your 20 looks tough as nails mate. Looks good with the premium plates, ive had them a couple years and fit much nicer than the standard aus plates.
  2. Heres a higher resolution picture for anyone that would like one, although once Ive got my spacers then I'm taking her out and doing a proper photo shoot. http://i279.photobucket.com/albums/kk157/R...ii/HIGH_RES.jpg Its a matter of opinion thing, i wasn't really going for the JDM look its just how it panned out, i usually just go with what looks good to me. As far as the venetian i think KE20's without venetian's just look like they have a huge bubble window and looks a little strange, since the venetian is black i think it blends in quite well. Now the whitewalls are always going to be an opinionated thing, i've had them on every car for years now and i love them, i think they even look nice with these superlites despite in theory they wouldn't work, people either like them or they don't, 99.95% of people like them and i like them so I'm happy :y: Fair call, this is no way the best KE20 in australia, i personally think its direction of styling to me is one of the best, i personally haven't seen another KE20 that really has caught my eye (although 25's are a different story). Also keep in mind the best KE20 have some big advantages on mine: a) Big budget. i have spent not a great deal on mine so far, dare say it wouldn't have gone over $2500 yet including the cost of the car. b) Experienced owner. I'm 23 and haven't been brought up in a family thats car orientated, everything i know i have learnt in the last few years playing around with my corollas. c) Their weekend Cars. This is my daily driver that drives all the way from Angle Vale to Hindmarsh every day of the week.
  3. Ive heard thats for brand new tyres, as in tyres that have just been molded. Theses tyres were made in 2006 so their all good! I just has something to do with the oil used in the molding process that takes a few weeks to settle? Something along those lines :y:
  4. Darryl from whitewalls has always done mine, he doesn't go much wider. Ive been driving it around and it got the same as before, every second person has a good look, all the members at the gym check it out basically everybody does!
  5. Thanks man, i generally think i have pretty good taste with *most* things :)
  6. Walls got done this morning, not JDM looking but they look hot none the less :y:
  7. Its a horrible overcast day, not good for photos. Ill take a couple more tomorrow when the walls get done!
  8. Took s few quick snaps with the flares installed today, whitewalls to be done TOMORROW and spacers in 1-2 weeks! (Which it defiantly needs)
  9. It looks like poo lol. Nah it isn't too bad, I'll take a couple pics tomorrow, I've gotta pick up some stainless bolts too.
  10. I did pick a nice picture didn't i Karl? :) haha. I wasn't saying that KE20's are better than RA28, i just said that a nice corolla can attract just as much attention as a Celica. That fact that my username is RA28GT is because my first two cars were 28's, i love 28's and dare i say if one came in in similar condition to my 20 and i had to opportunity to swap i would in a heart beat.
  11. Ok, Guards are cut, flares have been painted satin black, underneath flares painted flat black and everything is bolted on and installed. Just waiting on my spaces to be made up from gal pro engineering!
  12. Bolts are in. Grinder is about to come out! :y:
  13. Ok looks like I'M CUTTING THIS BAD BOY UP! Thanks guys overwhelming yes to these flares despite everyone being skeptical initially :y:
  14. Thats basically bump stops :hmm:
  15. Yup the flares will be staying dark coloured, satin black to be exact. Heres some pics in the rain (fun):
  16. Just to convince myself before i cut the guards lol Give me 10min and ill take some better photo's...
  17. Heres a few pics of my car with flares taped on and the wheels sitting where i would like, front it 10mm slip on spacers, rears would have to be about 25mm spaces (yet to be made). What do people think it looks like? I think it looks great personally, but i suppose i'm not 100% convinced. Its either this option (cost of rear spaces), or flare the guards at a cost of $1000 (!) which is a backyard job. Keep in mind there are taped on lol, I'm sure it would look nicer them painted and bolted correctly! Troy
  18. Yay glovebox.

    My Ke20

I got the grill from a member called sliesh. Got it at a pretty good price for what it was, it looks nice the colour combination ive done. I can get you a set of those super lites no problems, might not be as cheap as i got them for (it was a steal) but still cheaper than what most people pay.
  20. I hate your face because you have a dumb amount of dish. Thats right, you could fit a baby in there!

    My Ke20

There's a fair amount of room down there, just a little bit more difficult because since it's the end of the manifold it will have to have both pipes run into a little Y piece, hopefully shouldn't cost too much at the moment it scrapes in my gravel driveway which is flat!

    My Ke20

I get mine from Antique Motor Spares ph. 8268 5540 33 Fourth St Wingfield SA 5013 I think hes up'd his price lately, their about $130 a set. I used to get them for $100

    My Ke20

This is a picture of the end section of my manifold, can anyone say scrape? I wont be lowering the front now :/ also the oil pan is a risk too although once manual it will sit a fraction higher (the gearbox crossmember is spaced down to fit the trimatic)
  24. You see a ke1x or a ke2x every time you leave the house? I rarely see one ever, maybe 1 a week tops. I see TA22 heading around every single day, on the other hand an RA28 is probally a little rarer then a ke20.
