  1. that is chewing abit, i went for abit of a hills drive friday night n used about 10 bux n went about 100 k's and thats with moderate to high revs most of the time, and this is with a stock 5k although last night i went for another hillsy this time with a full car,(3 others), probs went about 60k's and used about 10 bux again, so is there anything heavy in ur car u don't realise? lol

  3. where is this said breather line and charcoal canister? its the cap off a ke55 so its exactly the same,
  4. my fuel pumps kept shitting themselves, and i found out it was because of fuel pressure building up in the tank, i had to cut a small hole in the rubber seal around my fuel cap to stop it happening, but now i get fuel spilling out on sharp right handers, so why does this happen, does anyone elses build up pressure? and if so, does it make ther fuel pump spew fuel out the breather hole?

  6. hey guiys, ive got a ke30, n id like sum camber, 2 degrees sounds nice so anyways, jsut wondering if thers any easy control arm way to get some, i know xt130(corona) control arms work to give 2 degrees on an 86 jsut wondering are ther any similar options for a ke30, maybe ke70 control arms or something, or are they jsut the same as ke30? any help appreciated :locked: cheers
  7. well i got the car and got it started n it runs well :lol: this is what i did drained oil, replaced oil filter and put new oil in. drained cooling system and got a hose n put it full blast into the radiator and into wher the radiator hoses go into the motor to get all the goopy brown crap out, the guy used water insted of coolent then put new coolent in, also took the fuel lines off the fuel filter and let them drain, but not much came out, i coudlnt find a replacement filter so i jsut chucked the orginal one back in, put in some new fuel, cranked over engine several times useing a socket and ratchet, chucked in my battery from my rolla sprayed a whole heap of start ya bastard into the carby n tryed startin it nothign happened made click n thats it went "f@$k you" went over to the battery n actually tightened the terminals properly :cool: tryed again turned over quickly dint start tryed again turned over quickly then started then stalled tryed again turned over quickly started n stayed started let it warm up for about 10 minutes idled smoothly took it for a drive around the block a couple times runs sweet as idles verys moothly at about 700 rpm cheers for all the help guys!!!!!!!!!!!11
  8. yeah if the bores are rusty n i can't get it started i guess il have to do a rebuild 4ac parts shouldnt be to expensive but yeah I'm I'm hopeing that wont be needed cheers for all yoru replyes guys!

  10. ah k that ticking noise that ur talking about happens sumtimes in my ke30 when i start it up but it only happens for about 5-10 seconds or even less could that be pinging? it has a 5k btw, n its desperatly in need of an oil change to,
  11. its a toyota sprinter, or aus spec ae86 with a 4ac which is carby thanks for the tips il have a look for some start ya bastard when i get sum fresh oil and such, i think they are autochoke aswell how can i tell rigth away if its pinging/preignition? so i can stop it right away if it is hapening? smoke white or black? or is it noise il have to listen to? I'm excited about this thing i get it next week, i hope it starts, if not its still worth it but yeah running motor would be awesomeo! dw bout the 4k btw that was askin for a frend but he decided not to spend money on the poo ke70 taht it was lol, nto sayin ke70's are poo jsut sayin that 1 was, lol castrol gtx-2 ey, i should get sum then? what do u reckon of the idea of getin cheap oil n then in 200k's or so replace with good oil because woudl u expect the oil to get dirty quick in this situation?? ps: the 4ac would be the same as in any ae71, and similar to an ae82 4ac just a rwd version

I'm getin sprinter off an old bloke for 600 bux, hes just had it sittin out front of his house for 2 yrs, it needs work(cracked windscreen and some rust) but for the k's its got on it n the descent nice interior its prety cheap I'm realy hopeing i can get the 4ac running, just been googling now n so far ive come up with a list of things to do when ig et it drain fuel tank, replace fuel filter, get new fuel, replace oil, get new oil filter replace rad fluid do the thing u sed n get fuel around with a few turn overs then try n start the thing any1 else got tips for me to add to my list? wana do everythin possible to make this baby live haha only got 92000 k's on it so woudlnt be a tired out motor, the guys had it since 1992 n he got it on 70,000 k's for 9 grand!
  13. hey guys, just wondering what advice you would all give to tryin to start a car that hasnt been started for a few years(in the case of the engine running fine uintil it was left) apart from makin sure the batery has charge what else is ther to do? such as oil? and fuel? and anything else u can think of to give maximum chance of the engine running again all advice is welcome :P oh and the car(s) in question are a sprinter with a 4ac and 92000 on the clock not started in 2 years and also a ke70 with a 4k and 300XXX + on the clock so yeah give us ur tips :yes: cheers
