  2. I'm guessing u found this post " pretty sure ke70 rear suspension is the same as ae86 so 564-339 I'm planning on doing this to, I'm not sure what to go for though, RA60 shocks or VB-VL i think i might go RA60 they are abit shorter and i plan on having my car fairly low, tho not as low as those sierra shocks, hmm u got a pic of what 2 inches lower looks like in the rear? id like to know just how much lower my car is lol

  5. could someone please identify for me the idle screw on a ke70 stock carby ive just advanced my timeing and now it is idleing quite high 1.7-2k so i want to turn down the idle cheers
  6. my ke30 was doin this, turned out the pcv valve hose had come off the carby, jsut popped it back on n was all sweet my 70 also had a really rough idle and would sumtimes do this, i timed it the other day and it too is now running sweet, tho can be abit choppy sumtimes i think i have to clean the carby but yeah, vacuum hoses and timeing first as its easy,

  10. hey guys, got my box out, clutch is f@$ked, got a new clutch, it came with a new release bearing so i figure ill replace it while the box is out but i have no idea where to start on removeing the old one from the input shaft of the gearbox? how is this done? and also how is the new one put on? thanks ps, its a ke70, 4sp, 4k
  11. my clutch in my ke70 is very much broken, could anyone recommend a good brand of clutch for my ke70 id like it to be good, but not to heavy, i still want it easily driveable, its not a racecar afterall. i was thinking an xtreme clutch? are these any good? ive heard good things and ive heard bad things, also budget comes into play, id like to spend up to about 150 dollars, maybe a little more but not to much oh and if ur in SA, and know sumwere that stock them that would be good to -cheers oh and ill chuck up some pics of how f@$ked my clutch is for those inerested. basically the clutch disc seperated into 3 pieces and then the middle piece lost 5 of about 8 fins, which then floated around my flywheel/clutch/starter motor causing all sorts of havoc lol. feel free to comment on them haha

  14. hi everyone i have a ke70 that ive had for about a month now, has stock motor, clutch, gbox n such anyways just now got abit bored so went for a quick trash at a local dirt road, a couple of handbrake clutch dumps here n there and then my clutch suddenly felt wak, it was very loose to press, and would crunch on alot of gearchanges unless the revs were match perfectly so i headed home, on the way i decided i was angry at it so i gave it a good kick on one corner now the losseness is gone and it feels ok again, but it still crunches on gear changes, especially changeing down and its not slipping its just like...crunching? so what have i f@$ked? and what do i need to do to fix it? thanks in advance -Alex

First letter, be it K or A relates to the engine series of the car, (therefore u can change this by putting say a 4ac in a ke70, making it an ae70, so a 1jz in a ke70 would make it a JZE70) second letter related to the chassis, E is the code for the corolla chassis, (A-Celica, X-Cressida/Chaser, T-corona) the next number is the generation, 7, seventh generation and the next is the trim level, so a ke70 with slanty front but stil a 4kc is stil a ke70 not an ae70, it becomes an ae70 if it is converted to have a 4ac, or a 4age, or a 7age, or a 4afe, or any A series motor. spotted me perfecting keybangers and blowing a large slit in my stock muffler of my ke70 ;)
  16. 2g is a fair bit for motor+gbox the gbox's can be had for about 250-300 i mean if the motor has been rebuilt then it might be alright, but if its a tired (motor which a fair few of em are) then it might not be worth it
  17. this car is sexy! put something with good offset on it, and slam it :hmm: actauly nahd ont slam it its good how it is, go abit lower, but yeah negative offset is your friend :sob: btw if u hadnt guessed already its alex :jamie:
  18. speakin of good buympers, my frend in his 85 celica understeered into a cliff face hitting the left hand side, not too bad damge but enough to delaminate the tyre and give us the challenge of fixing it to look ok before his parents came home 4 days later lol but yeah, the bumper was absolutly fine, the bumper support udnerneath, was bent, but we got a new one and used the original bumper, just had a few scracthes on it, was prety amazing atcualy lol and me, first crash was me being an idiot, my friend and i used to take out his brothers peugot 505 late at night n go cruiseing, coz we're idiots anyways, i had my L's and could hardly drive, but i thought id try and drift its bodyroll arse yeah, its ok I'm a dickhead, and in no way do these actions represent my intelligence or driving skill at this present day haha so i came into a corner prety quick, turned in and kicked clutch..........understeeeeeeeeeerr, one wheeler....boom curb f@$ked up steering and wheel apart from that ive never crashed or been crashed into,
  19. i had this idea for a while now but never had a tacho witha shift light to try it! sweet as! ic ant actualys ee the video coz i have dialup but sick! so duin this on my next ke 8/

  22. Hi all, my 3tc in my t18 is not idleing properly, it will start and then to keep it running i have to revv it, if i don't rev it it the revs will drop down below 1000 then it will die or it will stutter and jump back up to 1200 or so then drop down and die, sumtimes it keeps jumping up from 200- 1200 a couple of times before it dies. this started happenijng yesturday on my way to a mates house, i was almost there so i jsut used the handbrake when comeing to a stop and reved as i was doing so, when i got to my mates i popped the hood and found the lid of my aircleaner(which was a homemade carboard one had come off, so i simply thought oh it was just breathing in to much air and popped the stock lid back on(it was on my backseat and went inside) when i came out a few hours later i expected it to be ok and idle fine, but it was doing the same thing, so the aircleaner must have been ireelevent. today i took the aircleaner off, and i got it idleing (by adjusting the screw in the picture that only has one thing circled), but i think this is the choke or a mixture screw? because when i rev it it revs and hangs for ages then drops back down(also with this screw i got it idleing high like 2.5k or sumthin, so this I'm guessing isnt the idle, can anyoine identify the idle screw out of the ones circled, or can anyone see where the idle screw is if i have missed a screw? or if anyone has a theory of what my problem is/might be feel free to share
