  1. I believe the springs will fit but the shocks will not...
  2. Always loved your beast man, welcome to the forums  ...
  3. Did the motor have an automatic choke before??? Try depressing the accelerator before starting and see if thats any better...
  4. Someone on Twincam forums selling a complete 7AFE engine...
  5. Sounds like you could have an air lock in the cooling system thats causing the erratic idle... Try bleeding the system and see how you go...
  6. 1. There are many things you can do to the engine, intake, exhaust, compression, timing, cams, etc, etc, etc... 2. A stock SX Corolla strut brace should fit and would be the better choice due to a three point contact - strut, firewall, strut... 3. KYB or Boge Gas Shocks are always a good choice for struts... 4. Not too sure but I think the blacktops all came as a 6 speed gearbox, but were non LSD... The only LSD boxes were in the 5 speeds and they are getting hard to come by it seems... 5. Custom made to your specification is always a good way to go when it comes to manifolds, but you're better off doing your research into 20V specialists and seeing what they recommend... Try www.twincam.org as they are a more so AE92 based forum dedicated to the 4AGE engine series...
  7. Soz guys, the eyelids sold the next day... The brand was Booster Tuning and they were from somewhere in Europe...
  8. Welcome to the forums peeps :) ...
  9. Advancing will make it go better, retarding will do the opposite... Never done it personally but I think others have advanced up to 10 degrees... In my view it's better to run the engine to it's specs, least you know you're not gunna run into any problems that way...
  10. I've only been there once with work and that was for a 2 hour race... I wanted to go back the next day but the money is rich...
  11. Should be atleast a month in advance for the non frequent forum readers to have a look...
  12. Eastern Creek Karts???
  13. Looks like the perfect first car mate... Looks very straight too... If you're gunna remove the rear sun shade keep in mind they fetch pretty good money if you find the right buyer...
  14. Gunna take advantage of a free house when the oldies go away haha...
  15. Don't think I'll make it...
  16. You'll need the ZE LSD Shafts...
  17. Yes, the shafts are different... Also check the shaft splines into your standard hubs, they may also need to be changed...
  18. Yeah, best off replacing the water pump, cam and crank seals, rear main seal, timing belt, acc belts, etc, etc, etc... Drop the motor in and you hopefully don't need to worry about anything going wrong...
  19. Never done any time testing, just felt that way when I was driving... Prolly just a sus motor but who knows... Pretty much everything should drop into the same place you pulled it from... Airbox and Battery may be a little off but nothing some cable ties and modified battery brace can't fix :) ... The 20V is definately a better looking motor than the ZE, especially with some Billet trumpets in place of the inlet casing...
  20. Was trying to find a photo but don't have anything to show you... The standard mount seemed to be cut shorter where it bolts onto the engine brackets... Best thing would be to try and drop the motor in with the standard mounts and see how you go... The one I had may have just been a dodgy conversion... To be honest it didn't feel anything special, I still think my 16V 4AGE goes harder lol... You'll definately feel a difference between the 4AFC and the 20V tho... You shouldn't need to modify the engine bay at all, most of the holes are there on all models for the airbox and other accessories... You will however need to get an EFI Fuel Tank, Fuel Lines and Fuel Filter, Charcoal Canister, Fuse Boxes and anything else EFI related as it's all different to the carby setup...
  21. Much easier to drop the motor in the top and then the gearbox from the bottom... Angle will be too much with it all attached... I had 2 AE92's with 20V's and both standard drivers side mounts seemed to be modified to suit the bracket on the 20V block...
  22. Doesn't matter on the age, we're all united haha... Anyone want some eyelids for the AE112??? Found some I got for my car but never ended up using them...
  23. What oil did you end up using??? If it's still smoking a little bit after a while, try adding some Wynns Stop Smoke...
  24. My guess is that the wire may have shorted out on the alternator... Check your AC relays and go from there...
  25. Always keen for a BBQ if someone else is cooking haha...
