  1. Got it fixed the problem was my brand new regulator was bad and a fried wire from alternator to regulator.....but anyway thanks a lot.....about the pics well didn't took any pics from progress but I will from now on the next project is speaker box and all done on the back ...I want to make it look like this one....see pic below....wish me luck and thanks a lot....later
  2. Grab really long wire and a multimeter.......first check for continuity from light switch to bulbs...thats when you need the extra long wire to make an extension for the multimeter......if continuity is present then it must be voltage....again look for voltage going to head lights....when checking for continuity make sure to disconnect the battery or you may fry the hardness......if both are present voltage and continuity then replace the switch assembly.....also check bulbs just in case....hope I helped.......
  3. My bad got carried away ........ http://www.racetep.com/weberX.html#webrebuild
  4. Hey bro it seems that you got an internal problem with the carbi....a needle...vacuum leak....etc....anyway there are too many variables in the equation to know what is your problem.....but you already knew that...Well what I do when I can't find the problem I go back to zero ground...let me explain...you could take it to a shop and pay a couple of large ones just so they can tell you they need to rebuild the carbi since it has internal issues...well before you even do that get a rebuild kit yourself and rebuild the carbi on your on....It is just a matter of taking screws apart and putting them back the same way and of course replace the parts...if by any change you mess something up ...well it was already broken so just stick to plan A ...take it to the shop and the only thing you have spend so far is 25 to 40 US dollars depending on the carb series for the rebuild kit that the mechanic needed anyway to rebuild the carbi....so is a win win situation...and if everything goes smooth you will feel full filled since you did it all by yourself. Anyway check out this web page ...is where I got my carbi and they are great....they got any rebuild kit that you may need and all sorts of good information with instructions, drawings, etc.....let me know if it works......While rebuilding your carbi you may want to check your other systems like timing, ignition, spark wire, plugs, fuel pump, fuel pressure, filters....also it is good to run the timing at the dizzy a little bit high when you got a weber.......I hope the info helped you out.
  5. Hey bro your best bet is to get yourself a multimeter and start chasing wires since the park lights coming on as you press the brake might and more likely be a short in your wire hardness....just look for continuity....ground...etc ....or physically look and inspect wires going to the lights. Your alternator problem like they told you check for voltage coming from alternator.....also check your belts...make sure they are tight.....does it has a build in regulator or not ...you might want to check that out too...look for physical evidence of burned wires or for no continuity from wires also take your battery to get tested to make sure the battery is working ......your thermostat plug for that wire will be on the same side the wire is hanging from to the left side of the fuel pump right under dizzy...it looks like a little cannon plug adapter...so basically a male to female contact....you might want to replace the thermostat since if is always open it will give you no readings at all or erroneous readings......as for the reverse light just plug what ever plug goes from female to male from the 3 that you got and check for continuity and voltage to the reverse ligth when you put the car in reverse if not you will get no readings at all.....well I hope I helped you out a little bit....if you don't know how to do all this just ask anyone in the forum...they are pretty cool when it comes to help out......good luck
  6. There is me and crew fixing a Chinook...not a big deal Here I am fixing stuff......not a big thing and here we are at the test flight....things went bad so we had to leave the area....LOL So now i'm on vacation at the Kongo....LOL....until everything cools down......
  7. Hey are you talking about the AC if so just get a kit that has a gauge already installed and keep it at 85% or where ever the green line tells you is adequate it is pretty easy to do....make sure you service it with proper gas or AC system will die on you......for the wipers just take it off the motor and see if the gears are broken or cross treaded or so and adjust so it will stop at desired point...I hope it works....out
  8. Well guys I finally found the problem.....electric stuff in Toyota are tricky but with a lot of patience and a multimeter you can get to it.....well first of all I striped the wire hardness going and coming form alternator/battery/voltage regulator. Got my multimeter and started checking for continuity...well found a fried wire so replaced it no problem.......but the problem was still there......When back to multimeter and check for voltage coming from alternator and voltage regulator....it was the same so I knew that voltage was not been regulated at regulator.....so open the regulator and it was burned inside so my problem was a combo....anyway replaced the regulator and presto problem solved.......I hope this helps anyone out there with the same problem....thanks a lot for the inputs guys
  9. Isure will...thanks for the help anyway......take care guys.
  10. yeah we did ...the problem is they where not a hit over here and are really hard to find if they are not crushed in a junk yard the owner doesn't want to let go of it......anyway if anyone got the bars for the ke70 let me know
  11. To my understanding the Ke70 was not released in US....not that I know off......can someone hook me up with them I'll give it a shot...got nothing else to do....LOL.....I'll buy'em of course
  12. Hey mate I just got a couple of weeks vacation for the same reason .....I will be trying to come up with a solution for my problem and yes I will show the progress for all of you all....we will see how it comes out....hopefully good....LOL
  13. So basically if I don't have those rods i am done....the problem is that when I got the wagon everything was missing inside including the headliner...rods...plastic pieces and all....I have manage to get all but the head liner or any pieces for it and here in US the te72 corolla wagon was not a big success....the reason why I want to bring her back...anyway please let me know if you got some more info....thanks guys
  14. Hey guys Gday...I got a te72 wagon 1982...my head liner is completely gone and I'm trying to complete my project but without it it looks ugly and don't want to spend lots of money having some one to do it for me....I'm a DO It YOURSELF type of guy...I was wondering if any one has fix a headliner before or if they have build one from scrap....what would I need and how to do it...I will appreciate any helps....thanks
  15. The batery has been replaced same with the regulator and all wires got good continuity......will replaced the regulator again in case it came defective from factory...I will let you all know if it got fix or not.....I also found the wire coming from the alternator to the fuse link to battery burn out...replaced it and the problem is still there....when I open the regulator it looks like some wires where burn out so anyway i will let you all know as soon is replaced.....How much voltage is outputted by the alternator? and thanks for the help.
