hey yeah its got a spacer but its not the black one it's like an aluminum plate, and mine is the only k i have seen it on. i'm pretty sure its a factory item. i was playing around with it more and i noticed it is only doing it when the secondary opens, i was thinking maybe something's not right with the vacuum advance? or blocked jet, i have blown it out and checked out the whole carb aswell. Cheers so far though guys.

Hey guys I got a 3k in my 36. The problem is that when driving sometimes it starts to cut out. I have replaced the fuel filter and pump. but its still not creating a vacuum. The fuel filter is only filling up a 1/4 when it should be more I have pulled the pump apart all the diaphram's are fine, the spring seems fine, and it seems like it is working fine. I'm wondering if somethings wrong where the arm makes contact with the cam, maybe it's not pushing the arm in fully and not creating a large enough vacuum? I put a friends pump in just to make sure and its doing the exact same thing. I'm out of ideas guys Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Sam

Yeah they're are not that deep ay, just want to do the basics, make it look nice and fix up any small rust and dents, maybe respray in the future to come. it's auto atm so going to put a manual gearbox in her, it would be sick if i could get a 5 speed. i hopefully will be getting some hotwires and thinking also t5hinking of putting some bilstein shocks in her fto make her handle awesome before engine upgrades. I live in hobart area town. you in tas falken_ke30?

Hey Guys just some pictures I took of the car the other day, it was a nice day so I thought I would take some nothing has changed on the car though, ran out of rego.
-
hey on the quater panel that should be a pretty easy fix, just give it a go like tapping it out and bog it up, and if you decide to sell it you would probaly get more for it. anyway just a thought man.

hey man, yeah not to sure how it would go with engineering, i guess its worth a try though. Like it's strong and fine and it's hit some pretty hard bumps and it been ok. at the top it can bolt in, which mine does, but on the bottom we were originaly going to bolt it but, thought it would be easier to weld, but bolting it is an option. I just want someone to do it to there car or drive my car just to see another point of veiw on it. cheers for the comments though guys.

yeah cheers, dad did the painting of the car, and i did the body work, rubbing down ect. but yeah feels good at the end of it all.
-
yeah that was pretty much everyday for two weeks, the body wasn't to bad to start with so that made it easier but rubbing it down was the big part. but yeah cheers for the feedback.

This is the 18RG I'm thinking of using, it has a broken valve, but it would get a rebuild anyway I reckon.

Hey everyone, have been doing some work to the car lately. I decided to respray it because of the damage and so got a new guard and got it underway. it made it easy as my dad used to own a body works so respraying it was pretty dam cheap and a nice clean finish. it took me about 2 weeks on and off to get done mostly getting it rubbed down nice and straight, but its worth it as I'm really happy with the results. i decided to get rid of the front bar as well as it was pretty bent and I prefer it without it, and just put the front lights in the stone tray we just did it in 2 pac and mixed up the colour so it's more red than the original colour but i prefer it like that. as well as this I'm thinking of putting another engine in. An 18RG with twin solexes, need to find out some more info on this though, any way here are some pics ill get some progress shots up later, because there on my phone.

hey, I have used Boge front inserts before they work nice and have a good bump and rebound. I reckon you could get them from repco ect. Sam

hey, i have a 3k carby, i lathed out the secondary venturi, can't remember the exact size but can find out, it still runs standered sized jets, it made a big difference though, as you can really feel when the secondary open's up, it also gives a deeper induction noise when its opened. hope that may help.
-
how about a colour that kinda suits the era of the car, on my wagon i went a red with black door handles, and most chrome parts. I just reckon new colors don't suit old cars, just an opinion man. Cheers Sam

yeah that helps heaps and answered my question. Thanks for that. Cheers Sam

Hey guys just got a quick question. If i have a 5k block and go about putting a 4k head on it, will that work? or could it not becuase the 4k head has solid lifter rockers ect, will i have to change to solid lifter for a 4k head to work? I have reaserched but couldn't find the specific answer i was looking for. Cheers Sam

yeah its pretty gay, but its all covered. Um we pretty much just came up with the shock mod, i don't really have a guide but, i can take some more pictures and set it out in a step by step way. the shocks used are monroe GT gas, if i was to use another shock i would go for a koni red, i just used the monro because i already had them. when your mouting it to the control arm you want to get it far as to the outside as possible but room can be a problem. Ill do a big write up thing with pictures and everything, so it makes more sence. Cheers Sam

ok guys I have a pretty big update on the car, a fair bit has happened good, and bad. Got the Twin Shock mod done on the weekend, the results are stupidly good, the first time i drove it, I was kinda in shock about how well it went around corners, not one sign of understeer, on shity old tyres, but the back just goes out a bit more now. And the bad is someone hit me going around a round-about, it was his fault, but its really annoying as the car looks like shit, but ill fix it up over time. Any way here are some pics.

I have used hasting rings before and they seem to work really good/
-
Hey guys a bit of an old topic but i recenlty replaced my seacondary venturi and i have noticed some increase in the power when its working, also gives a deeper induction noise.
-
hey, does any one have a ke30-55 front left guard? in fairly good condition but I can fix it up. Cheers Sam

Try hobart engine reconditioning, its right next to repco in town, or donald gorange.
