  1. A cars only worth what people are prepared to pay for it really.
  2. Personaly I think targa has gone a bit away from a rally. Just how they do there timing, as its not as a real rally like rally tas, its more suited so everyone thinks there going well even if there going shit kinda thing. Entry fee is pretty big I think $7000? for modern. I reckon WP targa would be the go all the roads are awesome down south, nice 2 day event, and pretty compact. But it depends what you like, thats just my personal opinion
  3. wind those caster arms forward.
  4. holy shit this is awesome, i need to get to norway or finland sooooonn
  5. increase venturi size and jet size thats what i did when i had a junior, works well
  6. get the third biggest, second from the top and flip it. should give around 2"
  7. anyone in tassie good at this shit? :P ha mine cost 400 did everything myself. so that was just materials and paint ect. just look on the net and stuff and read book about spray painting
  8. hey anyone got a kexx driver seat pref vinyl and cream in colour pref not tears ect thanks.
  9. yeah with the primary there is a little jet bit sticking out punch that out and the venturi will come out. Then just do the reverse to get it in. yep do it. doing the primary will make it run pretty shit but it does improve performance. make sure you do the secondary aswell though as that made the most noticeble gain. I used a lathe to make mine bigger but you still got to make sure you keep that little ridge inside the venturi, I think its at the top. drill out your jets if you haven't to match the increased venturi size.
  10. try getting some suede, or get it flocked which is like a fuzzy kinda look, and it can get in anywhere. could be expensive though.
  11. yeah we used boges on the front but on the left side we used the falcon spring, and on the left a stock corolla spring with probaly 2 1/2 coils cut off it, the rear end took a fair bit of trial and error, flipping leaves and finding different heights that worked. The whole right side of the car was fairly tight, but the left was a fair bit softer.
  12. Hey mate, in my speedway carrrr (corolla) for camber on the front left what we did was bend the bottom of the strut until the desired camber was reached. you don't want to go to much as it is on clay and doesn't have the same grip as tarmac. we used oxy to heat it up but I'm pretty sure pedders or other suspension places have a press with a camber dial on it. As to shock I used BOGE shocks in the front with falcon springs, and I think monroes in the rear. When I was racing eveyone had there out side jacked up almost higher than stock, mine was probaly the lowest and I still reckoned it handled better it kept on line better gave less understeer ect. Also some thing elso worth trying is getting say a semi slick tyre I used a yoki advan 185/65 13 for when the track just starts to go black, everyone thought we were crazy doing this but when the track is dry it is very grippy and the soft compound worked alot better than the normal cut up grooved tyre in dryer conditions. sam.
  13. Have a look at Boge shocks, they do an insert for corolla's. They feel good and give nice handiling, and around $130 per shock.
  14. hey, anyone got a k50 gear stick? I got a box but have no stick, and a bearing for the front of the layshaft?
  15. only in car.
  16. Hey guys just thought I would share my other car. It's a 323 4wd turbo. I use it in the Tas rally series, it's four rounds a year. All around the state. I suggest everyone get a rally car, best fun you'll have ha. Some pics.
  17. ok cheers
  18. any one got a k40 G box x member to suit ke30? and a RR quater panel like the bottom section or the whole part to suit a wagon? cheers
  19. Ok cool. Thanks for that mate.
  20. Hey guys, I'm rebuilding a 4k and on the camshaft sprocket I can't seem to see a marking on it for the bright link on the chain to line up with. There's only the little Toyota symbol on it. Does any one know if some don't come with them or how to mark one on there. Cheers Sam
  21. You probably wont be able to actually drift with a 4k, The best would be just a little power slide on the exit.
  22. In my 36 I have gotten the second largest leaf and put it on top of the main leaf, but up side down, so you get it lower, I reckon mines around 2" lower and its nice and stiff, and cost's you nothing.
  23. Are 3k, and 4k fuel pumps different, the 3k has a shorter arm, and the 4k has a longer arm? Could be it's not making contact with the cam maybe and not getting fuel? Or like old fella said the white ballast resistor, mine wouldn't start, fire, and I removed it and started first time.
  24. When I took mine out i just tapped out that little jet and just put it back in afterwards
  25. hey guys i noticed something weird, i could rev the car up by moving the key so that seemed kinda weird it wouldn't start unless i held the key on and moving it back and forwards would rev the car.
