  1. Heard rumours of it being whale oil. Me personally would go with the Toyota Oil though it isn't cheap. Strange thing is my parts interpretor rung Toyota and said the SC14 oil is new and not much has sold yet |blink| Give Toyota a ring maybe?
  2. Does look Schmicky Duck. Different setup from what I normally see but still cool beans. With the 15psi, does the SC14 take it nicely? I heard they have a little heat problem with over 10-12psi
  3. I haev found they only made normal piston rings from ACL. No Chrome Molley rings or whatever. You can get a piston and piston ring set from ACL for a 4k for I think.. 250-340.. That is from SuperCheap Auto.
  4. I have been informed that the best cam for a forced induction is a stock cam because of the overlap. There are cams for supercharged/turbocharged engines but really it's up to you. My dad is a mechanic and has seen tests done against a forced induction cam and a normal stock cam and said the stock cam was better, not by much though.
  5. Yus. Watch your hands. Some stuff is corrosive and I learned the hard way haha. Cleaning chemical at work said Corrosive. So I toughed out and soaked my hands it in to clean, after a few hours my hands felt like they have absorbed the chemical and my hands started to peel like bad sun burn!
  6. Autos are no walk in the park. Everything running from Hyrdraulic pressure, clutch bands and servo and all types of doo hickies. Everything must be put back into place the way it came out of. Good luck with the problem, and changing the oil and oil filter would be good, though I do not see it FULLY changing the problem but give it a shot anyway. Can't hurt to do a service =D
  7. Didn't know they made copper head gaskets for 4ks. Wouldn't be cheap though I imagine.
  8. Haha trickin it out. Would be like Alteza lights or something. Something like Carbie cleaner is stronger then brake cleaner. Paint stripper might be a bit too much.. but try on a spare set of lights and see what happens! Pretty wicked sick idea though. Just remember you have to have colour LEDS for it to be legal and all like you have which is gooooood. Not sure how it's giong to work out on the reflector there though.. Tell us if it works though man.
  9. Clutch bands etc might be pretty worn, oil maybe really old as well. Suggest to change oil and if it doesn't get better either send it to an auto shop or rebuild yourself. Autos are a bit tricky though.
  10. Hizotimang, talk to me on msn. I have a bit of information, though not sure about the gasket but something just as good hopefully.
  11. 1.1inch or whichever. Though not many people follow it Pretty much one inch bigger, one inch wider and nothing more for LEGAL specs. Depends on how much the cop will know, but eh they are cops, not mechanics. Nice KE36
  12. Depends what is wrong with it in the first place? Could be something simple from a spark plug or lead replace or something harder like a head gasket breach. You need to diagnose WHY it's running on 3 cylinders first before you ask that question. Good luck
  13. It's not junk either. It's the best thing a guy could have. Hahaha. The baby gravy maker.
  14. Still learning too myself. From what I am told they are hard to get kits, though some people have them as they were going to do it themself but decided not to and go with something else. From prices I have seen from $350 - $500. Usually depends. Use the search and have a looky looky.
  15. There are a few members on here selling some kits. There is also 7ke stuff which is less restrictive and better from what other members have informed me.
  16. Maybe try a long screw driver and putting it on the bearing and with your ear on the end of the screw driver and see if you can really hear the knock through the screw driver on that bearing. Seen foremans and mechanics do this so I would suggest to try.
  17. Knock as in metal knock or pinging?
  18. Sluggish being lack of fuel getting to the engine? Or too much fuel into the engine? Is there any smoke present from your exhaust at the times it occurs? what colour is the smoke if so. Could be leads, though do as what other members has suggested as well if the leads aren't the problem. *Edit* You can tell if water/coolant has gotten into your engine as if you look under the oil cap it will be like of a chocolate milkshake look.
  19. KE35 and KE55 same thing. Both seat rails are the same from each other as far as I am concerned. KE55 seat rails are the same as KE35 seat rails.
  20. Some reason when I look at the picture, The car looks sad and dead. Guess it's in car heaven now =]
  21. Supercharger may be getting a little worn? Do you service your own car? like spark plugs, injector clean, air cleaner and etc?
  22. Not sure yet for me.. I have a party the night before. So not sure if I can drive if I even do have my P's? But Might be able to come. I'm a maybe at the moment +_<
  23. You know I am done for one. Hopefully should have my car done by then.
  24. Well I have never been a fan of the hotwire/mesh style of wheels. Though it does suit your car and looks very good. Keep up the good work.
