Mate has the same delay in his Soarer dude. I think it may just be the engine and gearbox. Though I hope to be prooved wrong as I really don't like delay either.. He goes to stomp the accelerator and you wait a few seconds then we finally take off. It's stupid :bash:

I do not know why it takes 5 police officers to look at one single car. You must realise a KE70 is starting to attract more attention to police. People putting faster engines, and KE70s are getting around as little sleepers. Plus your car is low and looks pretty sexy. Police are just jealous haha. I feel I am going to get pulled over a bit too when I get on my p's and having my rolla looking it's best. Good luck with your car.

Rip off the badge, put a Toyota one on, you will be fine. I can not be much help. I only like pre KE70, and only 2 AEs. AE71 and AE86. I dislike Front Wheel Drives, though good luck with your information hunting. Maybe best bet is to buy a Gregory's book about your car. It will help me with my car a lot, though I like to do things for myself first, without instructions ^_^

I keep seeing this Pink KE55 or KE30 sedan around. It's mostly near Marsden area, though I htink a next suburb next to it.. I think I have now 3 old school Corollas in my suburb.. 1 KE30 sedan, and 2 KE26 or 36 wagons. I need to get them to sign up ^_^

There is a special cir clip remover. Though a a flat blade screwdriver usually works. Just have to have patience and try not to smeg the plastic surround :fuzz:

Curious buddy, that front bumper you have. Is that custom made or is that from a body kit shop? How much did it cost for the front and rear and is it street legal? Usually more power means less economy man. Just get a better cam, port and polish, maybe extractors with a good exhaust system mandrel bent etc. Usually things are not cheap to get performance, though heard cam re-grind are around $100 Good luck

Lol I wouldn't smell the exhaust. Good thing to do man, take the engine out and rebuild it for your learning capabilities.. that is if you want to learn about your car. if it was leaking from the head gasket you can usually tell from looking at the engine, or a blueish tinge should be in the exhaust smoke. It could be the sump as well ( The bottom of your engine which holds majority of the oil). Just have a good inspection of your engine etc..

I think spacers are illegal in Aus. Try getting new rims and tryes, get a mates car that has the same stud pattern as your car but a bit smaller rims, and see what they do to your car. See if they have any scrub issues.. Also, lift the car up and have a look what it may be scrubbing on, and how badly it is eating through your tyres.. I had a 1007 XR6 Ute on my hoist at work, had 20" bling wheels, lowered, looked hell nice, though the inside of the tyre is worn down to the metal belt of the tyre..

Haha. Welcome. I thought I was the youngest member. Now you have put me out of my position! I think I am still the youngest in QLD anyway haha. Rust is way common on KE55's. I have two major rust holes on the boot area, same position as yours but on both left and right rears. They also rust in the front panels, down the bottom area of the front guards.. so keep it in mind too. What are your plans? Bring it back to normal state? Work the 4k?
