I've heard that red/pink coolant is longer lasting then the standard green. Though it is only 2nd hand information. And also I heard it in my work (Ford Dealership) so I am not sure if Ford and Toyota use the same Coolant.
I didn't read most of it.. though I read a little. My step father races and uses a steering wheel fastener? Instead of making it more lock to lock, it decreases it?
I never found out if they can be universally fitted, but I think they can.. Though I am sure they will be illegal either way.
These are also called pipe spanners.
I don't really use them, I use normal spanners. Though it can be easy to round off any nut with an open ended spanner.
Have fun!
Spotted a Yellow KE70 with a rollaclub sticker on the back windsheild. Was near Garden City around 7:30am today.
He is a member on here but I forgeted his name =(
The more HP you have on your engine, the better it will sound. The more cylinders you have on your engine, the better it will sound.
I agree with the post above me.
This question has been asked many times. Even myself when I started.
With your first question about the engine conversion.
It all depends on your state as different states have different rules. You need to ring up your Transport Agency and talk to them or talk to an engineer.
Also, you haven't looked around on this site have you. There is guys with KE55's with SR20's in them with it being street legal. Use the search button more, don't be lazy.
Differences between N/A engines and Forced Induction engines will be there compressions. Probably many more different things but I am not into much forced induction side of things at the moment.
Weight of a KE55 sedan is not 880kg, it's 920kg I believe. Then a average human around 60-80kg will weight it down just over one tonne.
Do some research buddy.
Battery charging can be set on quick charge, medium or slow I think. Only some battery charges have these kind of options. You should still try and do a hydrometer test for each cell to see if you have any dead cells or not in the battery. If worse comes to worse, borrow a mates battery and see if it works in your car. If it doesn't then your problem is elsewhere.
Don't spark anything above the battery either. Or be around the battery while it charges. And probably better to charge the battery on a table, though I heard that from a wise tail.
While the battery charges it lets off a fair bit of hydrogen gases, so becareful when putting the battery back into your car not to ignite it and becareful around charging the battery. You don't want the battery to explode and have battery acid in your eyes.
To test batteries you can alos use a hydrometer and check each cell in the battery to make sure if any battery cell has died on you. Why not get a good battery from your mate and test it in your car.
Maybe also a starter motor problem? Not sure about this one though.
Check all of your battery leads, make sure nothing is broken, stripped or the positive cable is touching anything on the car. Only need to worry about that last bit of the cable has the leads coming out of it touching the car.
May also be the alternator not charging right, but 12.3v is okay battery.
*EDIT*
Battery voltage should be in between 12.0 and 13.0 Volts with engine not running.
Crank the engine and watch the Voltage, it shouldn't drop below approximately 9 Volts
Then check the voltage with the engine running to see if the alternator is charging. It should be around 13.5 and 14.5 Volts
I know a place where you can get a full rubber kit for your Toyota, though wont be cheap. Probably estimate $400-$700. My KE55 2 door hardtop will cost around $520 or so.
