  1. I have not really read about an FJ20 before. Though I have read up a little on the SR20's. They have a lot of modifications to buy for them. Finding one will be easy. Getting power out of them will be easy. Now I wouldn't say CHEAP though they aren't expensive engines either. SR20 has impressed me with it's power output for a little 2L 4 cylinder engine.
  2. Naked Corollas are sexy. Haha. I plan to paint mine Camaro Yellow with the black stripes. In other words, Bumble Bee from The Transformers. Keep up the good work and all. Also how much is it costing you getting the seats and door cards re-upholstered?
  3. Go the little 4k hehe.
  4. I've seen people drill holes into there body work, get some rod that goes in and gets behind it and you pull it out. Similar to the spot weld idea.
  5. You would of been devastated.. Looks like a good coupe too.
  6. Just becareful on the after market panels. They don't always fit up right. Will more than likely need yourself to cut/grind or modify it yourself a little to fit them. Good luck.
  7. You are still changing the factory panels. Blits in Brisbane do Fiberglass bonnets.. Though they told me it would cost $3,000 for my KE55 bonnet with a scoop.. Though she said that if I can get 10 people with the same bonnet they will lower the price to near $700. Blits is the only place in QLD that has proved to QLD Transport that there Fiberglass bonnets are good enough so QLD Transport has claimed there bonnets to be legal. Though I do not think Carbon fiber bonnets are legal. Each state would have different laws etc. Some cars have factory fiberglass stuff.. I think the Crysler PT Cruisers or whatever have fiberglass front fenders.
  8. Mates do this on the mountains though they don't have an extremely fast car like that. They use daily cars.
  9. Can't say I remember. What time did he/she pull?
  10. Anything happened? I am still pretty keen.
  11. So many people have had a car accident on here. It's pretty wow to see. This isn't really a car crash I was in.. though I was at least driving at the time. Anyway. My half brother who was 7 or 8 at the time and I was around.. 14? We have this dune buggy. We went to Black Duck Valley for a weekend. For those who don't know what Black Duck Valley is, it's where there is fair few dirt tracks and 4x4 tracks area, camping ground and stuff. I was on some dirt track with my half brother sitting in beside me. I was flying around corners and doing pretty good around the track. Then this weird corner came up. I said out loud to my half brother "Far out I really don't like that corner!" Anyway.. on the next lap I did I was coming up to the same corner. I was turning left.. and noticed my front left wheel is flying through mid air in front of my car? I was like "Uh.. floating wheel?.." then we smashed over the track and onto some area away from the track. The wheel kept rolling and came to a stop, noticed that the whole front caliper was gone and a few shattered mounts. Plus my half brother wet his pants Hahaha. That's the closest car accident that I have been driving so far anyway.
  12. I wonder.. It would be so good if they re-made them. Retro style them. But still keeping the shell and stuff old school. Maybe fit it factory with 4-AGZE =D And keep them RWD!
  13. Trust me. It's Wink fellas lol. Anyway. That site is also good for weather seal kits. Good place to get stuff from, though a bit.. expensive. I have 2 KE30 replica guards.. though I am using one bottom panel. I can sell you the other one unless you want to buy it from those people?
  14. QLD have different laws. Blits is the only place that QLD Transport will actually allow you to have a fiberglass bonnet. Anywhere else and the police can defect you. Not sure how NT laws work..
  15. https://rsp-secure.com/rarespares/ I'm sure the KE30 ones will weld on there. Though you might want to look around first. You might find somewhere else cheaper. On the site go: Rust Repair Panels - RUST REPAIR TOYOTA FENDER SECTIONS - KE30 ones. Hope it helps.
  16. LOL. I really enjoyed watching that. Good work man. You should document the KE55 coupe next.
  17. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have to be. I'm pretty sure they will make each bonnet and scoop separate from one and another. Though it just has to be of the ONE bonnet. So they can mold the bonnet. Then you can add whichever scoop you would want to each different bonnet.
  18. Well as long as it fits to my car I'm all good for it. I'm sure we can all get different scoops. As I want more of a big twin nose looking bonnet scoop.. Many different people have different taste.
  19. I emailed Blits.. Which is like a body kit shop though they can make fiberglass bonnets that are legal with QLD transport.. I asked her how much just one bonnet with a bonnet scoop would cost. She replied $3,000. I almost fell off my chair. I asked her if I could get a bunch of people would they lower the price. They said yes, would need at least 10 people. Though all have to be the one hood.. She reckons $770 or maybe less.. I was wondering who would seem interested it buying one? I know they wont do much, though just seeing if anyone would be interested.
  20. Are you mechanically minded? If so have you had a look under your car and looked at the chassis rails etc? Make sure they don't have any rust and stuff? To me $6,000 out of my pocket is a fair bit of cash. Though I'm only young and would hardly know anything and all. Though I think you did pay a fair bit too much from your brother in law.. Good luck with the sale. Very nice KE35 too. *Edit* Also agreed with Rollaboy2608. I'm young still.. I can still make some mistakes =(
  21. For a second there I thought you payed $6,000 for just a KE35 with a 3k in it.. I was going to say.. Well.. maybe try and work it out. 4-AGE front cuts are around $2,000 - $2,500. Good condition (No rust, good interior etc) KE35 would be maybe $1,500 to $3,000 Just some people want to pay the money, some don't..
  22. What colour did you decide to go? Any updates my dear?
  23. Or you can be scary like AE70 and do that. Lol.
  24. Maybe try buying a KE35 manual. Maybe it might help with all the details, though ringing Toyota might be a cheaper option.
  25. How do they help strengthen it? I thin they look ugly and was going to get them bashed in to look all pretty. Also I found out another question I was going to ask! Has anyone modified there KE55 to fit a steering rack instead of the steering box?
