:dance: Hey Guys Has anyone ever had to grind down a brake caliper to fit a wheel on before? I just got some new wheels and i put them on but when the front ones went on they wouldn't spin I then realised that the caliper was protruding too far out and the wheel wasn't quite sitting properly :lolcry: I took to the caliper with a grinder and took off perhaps 4-5mm of what looked like unneeded steel Is this safe? i haven't really got to the meat of the calliper or anything but i didn't knw if this was a common issue And also, how much clearance should be between the wheel and calliper? At the moment there is maybe 2mm Should i grind more off? All comments are appreciated :y: Cheers - Andrew

Well the car was running well until i wound it out to 7200rpm yesterday (taking a mate for a rap, as you do) and managed to put the final nail in the coffin for the alternator Was a fun drive home last night praying that the battery didn't die and leave me with no lights (it didn't thankfully) and then managed to get it to the auto electritian who didn't have a reco one so $250 for a brand newy No way i was going to leave it to the last minute with the blue mountains cruise this sunday (WOOOHOOO) So got that fixed and also got myself a new set of rims. I'll post some pics tomorrow but they are old school and they are fat as. Looks fully sick bro ....lol Finally something that fills out the guards Only got the rear two on so far but the other two are going on tomorrow Also painted my white boot lid baby shit yellow to match the rest of the car to try to make it look a bit more respectable for the big day.......well kinda Post some fresh pics tomorrow :P

Check for bubbles in the radiator and lift the oil cap to see if the oil is milky if either of these are so, Then its the head gasket

Yes a lumpy cam and a cam grind would be the go. If you go to the faq section they give you a couple of suggested grinds to go for This will definatly help with the fuel flow and power :dance:

I have twin sidedrafts on my 4k but i think you'll find you should do other things aswell not just put the twins on You should also have extractors exhaust and at least a cam preferably some headwork aswell to get everything flowing well If you just put twins on you'll have to dial down the mixtures so much that it wont be worth it However, in saying all that if you do a couple of those other things you should see a descent increase in power aswell as agood increase in responsivness. They will use more fuel but more fuel generally equals more power And as for tuning and jetting twins, this should be done by someone who knows what they are doing as twins need to be in balance I just spent $1000 getting mine repaired, rebuilt,balaced and tuned........And i haven't stopped smiling since I hope that helps
