Urgent Request!!! We Need Another Cruise!
white_sandshoe replied to white_sandshoe's topic in WA / Perth
Oh, we can just have a "Welcome Back" cruise for ya!!! yay!!! -
I like the 15x8, but the others are just rediculous! does he wanna sell the 15x8's??? I'll stick them on the T18!!! hehehe
-
The predominant reason this thread and project have kinda died in the ass is that I've got too many projects that have required too much attention of late, and Chris is rather a decent distance, and it's hard to arrange times to get things done. I guess i should just get rid of some of my other projects, and get stuck into it...

Urgent Request!!! We Need Another Cruise!

Can we have it on sunday instead??? PLEEEEEAASE!!! -
I miss driving... I've been making the missus drive me because i decided once and for all that Hillarys boat harbour is no place for a classic toyota... the ocean side speeds up rust... i don't like rust. How much would someone charge me for a full respray??? I got a few shells that'll need doing... think someone will give me a bulk buy discount? haha
-
I LOVE your mirrors!!! do we get a closer look at the next cruise?
-
Nope... Garnett is the one that now owns the escort that Dan mentioned... now to make it run... haha
-
You think i'm made of digital cameras or something??? there's a reason that i haven't posted up any pics of your shell... it's not out of respect, it's out of not having any. haha

Ok, I've come up with a few possible solutions to the 'dizzy in the way' problem... I could convert over to a smaller (and fewer plugs) 3T-C or 2T-G dizzy, and just plug up the extra holes, or alternatively, convert over to electronic ignition with individual coil packs, probably lifted from a CA18 or the like... for all 8 spark plugs... How does one go about setting up an electronic ignition system?
-
When's Gazzanats??? I got no idea how long it'll take me to finish it to the standard I want... And guess what? No... i got another T18 you can borrow... hahaha a Stock as a Rock one. I love your new supercharged ride too bro! go the boosted rollas!!!
-
Oh, go the orange aye! that'd look so hot! I've seen a mustang in a brilliant Orange with a Burnished Copper or something like that done into the side scallops... it'd look awesome scalloped on the bonnet, or even as subtle GT stripes.

Good enough! we've been missing you Ken. -
Ok peoples!!! after the massive fun we had on the last cruise, and by popular demand from some who couldn't come on it, your Regional Leadership Team have decided to... wait for it... PLAN ANOTHER CRUISE!!! So far we are looking at the 24th of Jan, leaving DNA tower at midday (or thereabouts) and heading up into the hills to play in the dirt, like the Men wanted to last time around... back up to Mundairing! Let us know what you all think. It'd be great if we can come up with a final plan a week or so before the date. hehe.

Thank you thank you!!! I'd like to thank God, my Lord and Saviour, Chris for deciding he needed a 2IC in the first place, Dan, for nominating me, regardless of all the gay comments associated with it... I'd especially like to thank all those who didn't stand to oppose me... i'll try not to make anyone wish they did, but i can't promise anything. haha And to all those who didn't need to vote, i'll happily believe you would have voted #1 Garnett anyway...

Thanks for the comments! I'm hoping the paintwork won't look too... ummm... contrived? Turns out the custom inlet manifold i have doesn't fit straight on as the dizzy is in the way... Time to learn about electronic ignition... Individual coil packs on a dual spark engine??? that could be interesting... If it turns out i need to play around with electronic ignition, i'll probably look at the wolf 3D straight away... anyone know where to get one cheap?

I'm bored! someone entertain me... There's not enough chatter on rollaclub today.

Yeah! I seen those boys running around the 650hp mark... it's just brutal. I kinda still want to be able to cruise mine down to the supermarket on occasion though. lol. I've actually got two more, one overrated, one rusted out...

I figured i'd better not let the lack of a digital camera stop me from starting a thread... I picked up a slightly damaged TE72 shell from D1Doony after he somehow got the back end pushed in... I ask no questions, he tells no lies... all i need to know is, the damage isn't that bad, and $500 odd isn't too bad a price considering. So, I'm sitting around one day, daydreaming of blow thru turbo setups and all sorts of madness on one of the stock 3T-C i have laying randomly about the house. I spend a bit of time thinking about 2T-G 3T hybrid engines and 25psi of boost... And I pick up the Quokka... (THE place to go for cheap cars and parts, although they have pretty much anything you could think of... WA only.) and low and behold, there is a TA63 for sale for a couple of hundred. So i go and check this thing out. Turns out it's just around the corner from my place, so i walk over and see this really nice guy, who is a splitting image of Gary Oldman in his younger years. Anyways, turns out this guy's housemate has pulled up stumps and left, leaving him with a backyard treasure trove of toyotas! 3 old school supras, a pimpin soarer and the TA63 Celica. Turns out also, that the celica is fitted with a 3TGTE, and he happens to have another complete 3TGTE, 3 computers, two full wiring looms, a custom inlet manifold, two more 3TGTE heads and he's happy to let it all go for the very reasonable price of $450. Currently, I have the 3TGTE out of the celica and half apart on the floor of my shed. I'm getting ready to prep the block before jamming some forged internals into it, then will attempt to create a twin charge setup out of a CT26 (7M version) which i have already, and a SC12/14 which i'm still looking for. The plan is, is to calculate out the amount of air i'll need passing through the CT26 to get it to spool up at the same RPM as the stock CT20, set up the supercharger to pass that amount of air, and calculate how much fuel to squirt into it to make it all go bang. I realise it's a bit silly, but i'll be doing all this with the aim of running the standard computer. When you think about it, a fuel only computer does nothing other than tell the injectors to open for a certain amount of time... it does this so an adequate amount of fuel is passed into the engine to burn the air going in... Theoretically, if you're passing more air, you should be able to calculate how much more fuel is needed, and size injectors that will flow a larger amount to the same proportions as the extra air... Anyways, I'm still looking for a few parts, namely a 75-79 hilux RWD diff with LSD centre, some 15x7 rims(minimum... I'll go wider if i need), the afore mentioned SC12 or SC14, bigger injectors, though i gotta work out exactly what i need first, front suspension of some description... The aim of this madness is to run a flat 12 or lower... I'm initially chasing 300BHP at the wheels on the standard computer with about 14-ish psi, but i'll be looking to upgrade to a Wolf 3D once i've got as close as i can to that. Suspension wise, I'm looking at suitable front suspension upgrades. Low and stiff are NOT the plan, though I'm hearing things about Cressida struts fitting nicely, and apparently give a little more caster. I'll need something that's got a 5 stud hub too... I'm chasing a Hilux diff for the ass, with something slightly higher than stock to clear a nice set of Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials while still allowing enough room to sit it down on takeoff. Bodywise, it's a nice green, with a few dints and knocks, which i'm going to leave in as it'll add to the look i'm going for. I'll be painting the bottom either a light blue or silver, and putting some good ol' WWII wing markings on the doors, along with a bit of nose art, in the way of a hot anime chick... hehe Colour scheme and styling i'm chasing is something not too far removed from this... I'll be digging up a camera at some point, so pics of the actual work won't be too far away, and hopefully before i'm finished opening up the engine... Let me know what you think???

Yeah Boi! We been rollin 20's since we was 15! We be rollin with Gats an all boooi!

Apparently some of the random jackasses that came in to work tonight are known around the 'burbs for threatening people with handguns... glad i'm getting transferred to a different site. Note to self... don't piss off a bright green VT commonwhore with 19" chromies driven by a masadonian gang... Why is it that guys come over from war torn countries and bring the same damn attitudes that tore the ass out of their country??? I got no problem with them being here, but hey, taking that approach didn't work at home, so it won't work in my home either...
-
at least in the scene girls thread we got to see a 'little' cleavage... get it? a little??? meh... anyways... I do occasionally enjoy picking up some groceries from the supermarket? EDIT: To hell with it... the most fun, fully legal thing to do in a corolla, in my opinion, is just cruise on a nice, slow winding road. It can be just as much fun to link corners at 50-60 as it can be at 100 on the same length of road.
-
you can use it, and it does help... will reduce the chance of tearing, as the metal is more pliable, but just don't get the gun too close... just take your time and it'll all work out.

Go to local marine supply store, purchase flares... Return home, park car in suitable place, such as on unmowed, long, dry grass or petrol soaked driveway surrounded by solvents. Stand a short distance away, about two foot, closer the better as you're aim doesn't need to be as good... Fire flare into guard Run around trying to find a fire extinguisher/garden hose before your corolla is completely gutted by the subsequent raging fire. Ok, enough of me being a smartass... It's a good idea, after setting it up to the height you want, with the tyres you want, (take into account the 22" cromies JUST WONT FIT, so sensible selection will help alot.) when you jam your 2 in. pipe under there, to stick a couple of spare tires or batteries in the boot, and have a few mates jump in the back seat... it'll put the car into a "fully laden/high speed cornering" stance, as that's the position you're most likely going to rub your tires on the guards, and that's the situation that your guard rolling will be most needed. Another thing, heat guns will merrily bubble and strip paint... it's kinda one of the main uses for them.... be careful! When you do it, make sure you have a mate holding the end of the bar, and take it really really slowly! Last thing you want is either the bar spinning around and putting a hole in your door, or go too quick, and take out your mate's legs with a steel pole... Fence posts work a treat... The ones often used for exhaust pipe... Also, there is a limit to the amount you can flare any guard... essentially what you're doing is stretching the metal. At some point, it'll not stretch anymore, and begin to tear. That's not good... Good luck, and post up the results!

Girls??? who wants to waste their time with girls??? sold the motor out of the gemini... getting ready to do a full rebuild to make it worthy of toyota power. (after the other projects are done to some extent.)
