Not too fussed on atmo or not really... if a turbo will be a better option, I'm all for it... I want something that would be reasonably powerful, but not over powered, if you know what I mean... I don't want to have to upgrade the diff that's in it, as the previous owner went to a great deal of trouble to stick VR disk brakes on all 4 corners, so if that means I have to go for revs over torque, so be it, but I'd prefer torque any day...

Hi all you rev heads. I'm wanting to throw a few ideas around regarding an engine conversion I'm looking at undertaking next year. I've got this pretty little TC Gemini coupe laying around that I've ripped out the gutsy G180 and 5 speed to make way for... something... I've been thinking about chasing down a 3SGE BEAMS engine and 6 speed for her, but wondering if it's worth the time, effort and price. Maybe a 4AGZE might be easier and cheaper??? Or a 3TGTE (considering I got one sitting there, and already building one for my T18...) or even a 2TG? Any wild ideas welcome, but please bare in mind, I want to get it street legal, so the max capacity I can go (due to weight, under WA licencing mod laws) is 2.4L for turbo, 3.5 for NA, and the engine bay is kinda rather short... lol

Especially when, for that couple of grand, it'd be easier to find someone's unfinished project 4AGE/TE/ZE that has had the RWD mounting work done already, and will quite likely have a T50 behind it, ready to try and bolt in. either way, we won't judge you if you decide that the engine you got laying around is worth putting into your KE70, as it would still be a decent power upgrade, and shouldn't be as hard on fuel as a 4AGE would... All depends on the results you want, and how much you want to spend to acchieve them.

Hey guys... It's been a while since I've put a post up here, but progress has been slowly getting made... I've lined up some RA60 aftermarket coilovers with big brakes for the front, and a set of cut falcon springs for the rear, so she should be sitting quite nice, and turning even better. Also negotiating for a set of forged pistons and rods, but a but still haggling, so we'll see how it goes. I'm shifting house this weekend, and I've got permission to buy a hoist!!! Damn I love first home buyers grant... So yeah, I've got pretty much everything I need except a diff... Oh, another thing also... One of my chrysler mad mates put me onto something very interesting... He's aware of an old V8 electronic ignition system from the early 80's that would suit my needs perfectly. Thing with this particular one is that they didn't have the skills to have it firing 8 plugs one after the other... instead, they had it firing two plugs at the same time... One in the cylender on the power stroke, and the other (pointlessly) in the opposing cylender... The thinking is, that we work out which plugs it fires, and jam them both into the one cylender... Instant Twin Spark electronic Ignition!!!
