Here are a few pics of the motor being assembled. THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN DONE: crank has been nightrided and balanced. pistons and conrods have all ben balanced flywheel lightened(7kg) and balanced with crank and front pully. block has been bored 40 thou / decked 15 thou and had all mold castings ground and polished on the inside. cam has been reground by wade camshafts to the profile of 169x head, has been shaved 10 thou bigger inlet valves out of datsun, twin valve springs, valve's and valve seats have all been tripple cut. inlet and exaust ports have been opened up and flowed, and portmatched ilet mainfold and extractors. modified sump electronic dizzy looking into fitting quad 900cc kawasaki carby's???? (any sujestions) note: have engine out of race car still on engine stand thats why this is being put together on a milk crate

haha yeah something like that in the end prob would have turned out better if i did.

Very long and regretful story that one is lets just say i was in no state to drive and it needed to be moved to get into a gate only had to be moved to the park next to the one i was in and this happened bloody women :)

ok thanks philbey if any one has a set of these or any other twin carbs to suit a 4 k engine i would be very interested.

the su's are sold and the dells don't got a manifold what size su's would you sujest to use?

Hey guys havent put much on me rides page for a while so i thought i would update it not alot has changed with me car apart from an original steering wheel being fitted and put an ash tray in the dash as it was missing this for some time will get it painted orange like the rest of my car when i get a dent taken out of the back corner (letting a chick drive my pride and joy did not end well :cool: ). Today i got me new engine back from being fully machined and a few mods now the process of putting it back together and chasing down some twin carbs p.s any help would be appriciated. Although if all else fails i have a single sidedraft solex and mainfold but i think twins would be better open for sujestions.

Hi everyone just wondering if anyone had a set of twin carby and manifold for 4k i currently have a single sidedraft manifold with a solex carby would twins be better and if so what would you recomend? Thanks heaps Tom

hi there all just in the process of building up a 4k for me ke11 and was woundering where i caould get on to a electronic distributor or any brand names or part numbers for this item

NAME: Tom YEAR/MAKE: 1970 Ke 11. MOTOR & DRIVELINE: 4k with 4 speed box... Soon to have 2TG and 5 speed :jamie: SUSPENSION & BRAKES: stock and ke 38 wagon front disk's on front. WHEELS & TYRES: Hot wire 13's with gt radial rubber. INTERIOR: Retrimed in black and orange marine vinyal. BODY: Complete restro and respray inside and out in TNT orange. All body work done by me and Dad and there was a alot as it was a mates paddok bomb for 2 years.

Finally got a badge for my grill today with many thanks going to ken, :jamie: and still searching for an indicator mechanism :yes:

Hey Mark thanks for the props and yeah all the interior is done in marine grade vinyl the stuff they use in the flash speed boats :bash: and other plans for the beast will include an engine conversion hopefully will be able to fit a 2TG up in it with a five speed box and some nicer looking wheels then that will be about it apart from getting a audio system put in.

Hey guys heres a shot of the finished product...... Also is there any chance that anyone has a indicator/light mechanism and wire loom as mine has worn out and is now completly broken (doesnt stay on low beam) and the indicators sometimes don't work.

ok sweet as is there any information on what to do and what not to do when putting one in?

just curious to a stronger diff to fit the ke 11 or bigger brake conversions on the stock one????

Hey guys i am currently running a stock 4k in me ke 11 and its getting a lil tired and will need to be replaced shortly and i have a got a twincam 1600 out of an early celica and was woundering weather to put this in or know if anyone has put one in before. Also just woundering what yous think would be a good replacement???????

Hey thete guys i havent posted since i finished me car off way back in may yes it has been a while and i never put uo any ohotos of the interior so i included some in this post. There hasnt been one day that i havent driven me little beast since i got me lincence on the 26th of may and the old stock 4k is gettinga little tired so I'm in the process of getting another one rebuilt to give the car a little more grunt. I'm still looking for a red badge for the grill so if any one has or knows where i colud get one i would be very interested

a few more pics off carpets and roof lining back in all to do now is back window and windscrean to put back in her and pick up the seats for upholster his had them for 15 months and has only just decided to start them after hes has been asked and had some abuse lol but fingers crossed he will get them done in time

hey man any chance of being able to buy one off ya it had the green one on it cos i have the broken pieces
