  1. Hi there Glen thanks for your great comments Thomas thinks his little rolla is awesome as well; it has taken a lot of time to get the little beast back to where it is but has all been well worth it(version no4 HaHa ;) )is on its way. Got the wheels back today rapped with GoodYear Assurance rubber;front 175-65r and rear 185-65r done a dummy fit and with a few mods to the front end looks like we can get them inside the guards without having to pump and repaint anything :hail: anyway as i said thanks for your great comments and as soon as we have every thing fitted up (Wheels, rear swaybar, side trims) we will put up some photos for you all to enjoy  . Cheers:- Stuart (Tommys dad)
  2. Hi there Timj if you have a look at my rides thread (TOMMYS Ke11) you will see that we used bike carbies on my motor so you might be able to get some ideas for your build. Cheers:- Tommy.
  3. Hi there everyone just a little update; my new wheels turned up today  (superlites 14x6") should look real sweet with them on, hope to get them rapped in rubber tomorow and then i will know weather dad will have to pump the guards or not (he's hoping not but not very confident) any way i have put some photos up of the rims on the little beast for you all to have a look at and tell me what you think, and as soon as i rubber on them and all fitted up i will post some more photos. Cheers:- Tommy.
  4. Hi there all just a little update, picked up side mouldings today so we can add a bit of blingbling to the little rolla,i also got a spare pair of guards (not the best) just incase i have to pump the guards when the new wheels turn up. Although they may not be the best guards they are probaly in better condition than what the guards were in that are on the car so i think they will straighten up ok anyway i have put a few photos up of them and some of the rear swaybar i am setting up as well so i hope you all enjoy. Cheers:- Stuart.
  5. Hi there every one just want to say a big thank you to Stu (kickn5k)for his nomination of Thomas little rolla for COTY.Just a bit of an update as where we are at the moment with the car as you may have read in an earlier post Thomas little rolla got a defect notice on it so we have currently got the car in the shed doing a few more mods such as a rear swaybar of a t18 which i have made brackets up to fit the ke11,and as the car never had any side body trims on it when we first got it Thomas has decided he would like to fit side trims to it so hopfully picking up a full set this week end. We also have his new wheels ordered and hopfully will be here this week 14x6 superlites black centre polished lip so i will probely have to pump the guards a bit and do a respray(thank f>"k i brought plenty of paint)thinking of fitting white wall flappers on it. I have been speeking with our engineer and as soon as i have the mods done we will be getting all the mods engineered so then when the so call powers to be (cops) want to use (as to there OPINION Thomas will be able to pull out the report and say read it and (f>"k off)not realy but show them that there OPINION is not always right. Any way thats about it for now so when the wheels are here i will get Thomas to put up some photos so i don't know weather this will be classified as version no4 for this little rolla but it is only getting better each time as Thomas drives this every day. Cheers:-Stuart.
  6. Hi thanks for that Dougy i will get my order in for a pair of guards so as i can start to get things ready for project FOROLA??? can't give to much info out at this stage but will do a full build thread when we are well into it,lets just say this will be different. Cheers:- Stuart.
  7. Hi there Styler i have a 1973 ke25 that is about to get the full treatment and was looking for both guards and 2 better doors if i can get hold of any other wise i wiil repair the ones i have. There just a little to far away to have a look as we live in Swan Hill Victoria they addvertise they are genuine NOS Toyota guards and have both in stock???. Thats why i was wondering if anyone has brought any from them and can vouch for there quality before i go and order them. Cheers:- Stuart.
  8. Hi just wondering if anyone has brought any of the guards from ROTARY products and what they are like ??? any info would be greatly appreciated thank you. Cheers:- Stuart.
  9. Thanks Philbey we hope we don't have to change it but as we are getting the car engineered and have increased the original power output we have been told we may have to put a collapsible column in so we are just trying to work out what is going to be our easiest solution so any information is greatly appreciated thank you. Cheers:- Stuart.
  10. Hi Jono looking at box & column or is it easier to atatch ke20 column to ke11 box? Cheers:- Stuart.
  11. Hi there all just enquiring as to swapping the steering column in Thomas ke11 and was just wanting to know if the ke20 is a straight bolt in and if the ke11 column shroud will fit the ke20 to help keep it looking original HAHA any information on this conversion would be greatly appreciated as i have access to a full column for $100 is this a reasonable price for this item ?. Cheers:- Stuart (Thomas dad) You can call my mobile 0428574248 or just post in forum.
  12. Hi there all' just in the process of rebuilding the rear springs on Thomas ke11 and was wondering what you guys have used as wear pad material between each leaf as i was thinking of using 45mm strips of laminex with a light coat of grease on them what are your thoughts???. Any other sujestions would be greatly appreciated thank you. Cheers:-Stuart.
  13. Hi there Jono Thomas dad here Stuart ; great write up as every one has said and keep the good work coming. This is very similar to what i did to Thomas ke11 but we used ke38 wagon discs with girlock calipers which may help give our fellow members more range,it was as easy as you explained we used the ke11 inner bearing &the 38 outer and all bolted up perfect. As you can see in Thomas build thread i also built a disc brake rear end using 82Nissan skyline hatchback rmr30 rear disc brakes it was a fairly easy bolt on conversion.I put on a new dual master brake cylinder IBS brake parts (part no IBS-jb1350) and it all works fine. But we are now in the progress of getting it all engineered as the car was defected for the brake upgrade which will give us a chance to get the front end modifications done at the same time.Anayway great work as usual Jono and we will keep you all updated on the engineering of Thomas car in his ride thread. Cheers:- Stuart. Hi there Stu ;just how rare are the ke10 with the disc brake front ends as we have one down the back as our donor car????.
  14. Hi there everyone havent been on for a while now. Not much has changed except for getting a defect notice put on the car (rims, brakes, leaking axle seal) which is why i would like to ask all you other ke10/11 owners out there what wheels you are running on your cars (with pics please) in 14x114.3 as we have a disce brake rear end. i beleive we can run 14" with 65 series tyres as they don't increase the over all height by more than 15mm any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Tommys dad Stuart. Cheers. If you want to call me you can ring my mobile 0428 574248.
  15. Hi there sorry for bringing this old thread back up again but i would really like to get intouch with the owner/builder of this car if anyone knows how/where it would be much appreciated thank you. I can be called on my mobile 0428 574248. Cheers:Stuart
  16. Hi there just wondering if this car is still around and if so could you please post up some more photos as we are about to start a simmalar project called FOROLA ke25 with 302windsor &c4 auto 9"diff all the standard stuff that goes with these builds. We will post a build thread when we get started as we are still gathering all the gear(have car motor c4)so hopfully want be to far away from starting.
  17. Hi there if you have a look at Thomas thread we used kawazaki 900 quads on his 5k/4k engine build and got 105rhp at 6000 revs then showed signs of leaning out so we need to look at his jetting and have a play as there is still a bit more power to gain yet  but i must say the induction sound is so sweet. Anayway good luck with the build Jono i look forward to here how you go. Cheers:- Stuart.
  18. Hi Todd; THomas dad here just as a guide Shannons have put an agreed value of 15k on Thomas ke11 with similar amount of work done to it so if your not in a hurry hang out for the right price. Cheers:-Stuart. By the way its a nice ride you have there.
  19. Hi Jono we got the OTTO MOTTO coil over kit for Thomas and they changed the 6kg springs over to 4kg springs no worrys at all as the 6kg ones are to stiff. Cheers:- Stuart.
  20. Hi there Jono if you want to give me a call it would be a lot easer to explain on the phone than writing it out,my mobile is 0428574248 or home 0350376708. Cheers:- Stuart.
  21. Not a problem at all just done it with a tap&die set but if you are geared up on the lathe then you could use that .We started with standard KE11 struts with OTTO-MOTTO coil over kit and Pedders gas comfort ride shockers ,KE30 front discs all works fine. Cheers:- Stuart.
  22. Hi there Jono that is exacly what i did to Thomas shockers and it works just fine, the shaft is solid so no worrys turning down on the lathe so i hope this helps you out and good luck. Cheers;- Stuart.
  23. Hi Jono just a quick reliable streeter that suprises the crap out of the unexpected and it does just that! although i wouldnt mind seeing what it does down the quater but not before we sort the carbies out. Cheers:- Stuart.
  24. Hi Jono thanks for your comments its just about all done now except for some decent wheels @ tyres and deck the boot out and get a final tune on the carbies which will hopfully push our rwhp up. We got one run on the dyno with 105rwhp but on the shoot out mode we only got a top reading of 99.5rwhp with printout a bit pissed that it didnt show the 100+. Anayway how long befor yours is up and going ? it is all looking good keep the great work up and all the best with it. Cheers:- Stuart (Thomas dad). Hi Stu once again thanks for all your help and i havent sent those front @ rear end measurment as i lost your email address so i will be in touch. Cheers:- Again Stuart.
  25. Hey guys have been very slack on the updates since getting the little rolla back on the road.... had a fair few issues on the dyno but got her all sorted and is running very well now we got 100rwhp so its a lot of fun to drive and gets me to uni and back quiet comfortable still havent given a shout out on here to me old man yet which he greatly deserves because without him it would not be back on the road better then ever so BIG thanks to Dad for all of his time and hard work!!!!! also a big thanks to stu (kickn5k) for all of his knowledge and advice anytime me old man got stuck... Dad was pretty stoked today because he finally got the hoist working in the shed and I had him put it to use straight away installing my new sway bar :)
