  1. Well what can i say other than from one father to another there is no greater feeling than doing a build with your son (daughter HaHa ) :2thumbs: ! anyway you can't just stop a great build thread just like that :hmm: LOL and we all look forward to seeing those TIMECARDS & TROPHIES Clevo so all the best and have a great time :P Cheers:- Stuart  By the way the car looks GREAT :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
  2. Thanks Chris ! probably cheaper to buy a whole car up there than freight a door and boot lid HAHA but if Craig needs the door handle & mechanism that wouldn't cost to much to post :offtopic: but what are you up to with the ke70 after your accident ? damn shame Chris as that was another great build thread that i followed from the start and i hope the plans are to build another  . Cheers:- Stuart
  3. Hi Craig ! yes the right door is of a KE30 ! it appears that i may have already got rid of the left door as i remember it was pretty bent up in the prang (Boys being boys LOL ) The right door is in reasonable condition and with a bit of panel work by the wright person ( Such as your self ;) ) it would make a good spare door and i also have a fairly straight boot , both of which are no good to me as they came with a wreck i was given for the running gear and you are more than welcome to the both of them for freight charge only . I don't like throwing any thing out as you never know when it might just help some one out  any way if you need them you can call me on my mob 0428 574248 and discuss further :y: . Cheers:- Stuart  Where is your location ?
  4. Well with Picnic At Hanging Rock cancelled :n: and I've just found out the the trailer to the race boat that i was meant to be taking to the Southern 80 is not registered  it looks like a good weekend to try and get the WB ute that i'm painting for a mate done so i can get it out of the shed  and then i can get stuck into PROJECT 25  and get my own thread happening :rolla: i'll keep you all updated . Cheers :- Stuart
  5. Hi there Craig ! Nah wasn't me who found the shell for you as much as i would like to take some credit for this amazing build  . How did you go with door handles and mechanisms ? as i have just had a quick look among our collection and have a complete right hand door there that you are more than welcome to , i will have a bit more of a look tomorrow as i thought i had both doors :hmm: . Those guards look great ! but would not have expected any less :P . Looking at your sump i gather you run a heavy sump guard with the drain plug out the front ? not that i like to question you ! as i 'm pretty shore you have it all worked out :2thumbs: anyway let me know if you need the door handles and i will get them to you also keep them pics coming :y: . Cheers:- Stuart
  6. Thanks Luke for the heads up ! saved us a long trip for nothing  . Cheers:- Stuart
  7. Hi there ! just wondering if any of you are going to the Picnic At Hanging Rock car show this Sunday ? as Thomas and myself are planing on coming down and hop fully catching up with some of you Guys and Girls and check out your rides so we hope to see you there . Does any one know if there is a organized Toyota group going and where they are meeting and what time ? Cheers:- Stuart
  8. Hi just wondering if any of you are going to Picnic at Hanging Rock car show on Sunday (-2-2014 ) and if so where are you all meeting up and at what time ? as Thomas and myself might try and get along this year as we have missed the last 2. Cheers:- Stuart
  9. Hi Paul ! Thank you for your kind words :y: and yes building it once was OK but twice was a bit disheartening although it did mean we could bring it back even better than the first build  . As for the cause of the fire ? not real sure but recon it may have flooded up and back fired through the carbies ( Bloody stinking hot day ) and as for any tips we ran a bypass fuel pressure regulator and a return line back to the tank . Another thing with the quad carbies is the breather hose must not hang down were it can cause a vacuum as it is like driving with the choke on and i'm pretty sure Thomas has listed all the engine mods back in the thread ( There were lots of them ) . Cheers:- Stuart
  10. Hi there Si ! yeah we are running a oil catch can  and i'll check your thread out and have a look at your set up :y: and what external oil cooler kit did you use ?. Thomas is going to set me up with my own build thread ! not for the truck as it is not a corolla but for PROJECT 25 which is another major project i'm doing for myself KE25 or what will be left of it HAHA as this one is not for the traditionalist :rocknroll: once I've got enough done we will start its own build thread and then i wont have to keep signing of on Thomas ( That will be great ) Cheers:- Stuart  lol
  11. How bloody hot is it :bright: I've just been into town to pick up tea and the cars outside temp still reading 39 o deg they don' tell you that on the news :( do they NAAAA. Cheers:- Stuart
  12. What mods did you do to your pump as we shimmed ours as well as opening up the flow galleries ! runs great oil pressure  . Cheers:- Stuart ( Thomas dad )
  13. I do love your work Craig ! always spot on and so much detail and i think i can say for everyone on rollaclub we all look forward to reading and looking at the progress of this fine little Rolla it almost feels like we are in the shed with you LOL and keep the fantastic work up , it will be a shame to put it on the rally track but that's what it is built for so take it out and enjoy it as much as we have following the build. Cheers:- Stuart ( Thomas dad ).
  14. :lmao: Yea thanks Stu! but i think i might stay with the gasket for now . Yeah its due for oil filter and oil change (6 mths) so we will give that a go but i'm still leaning towards an external oil cooler as this will also give a larger oil capacity and i may have to revisit the winged sump i built and see how much work i need to fit it or just build another one :hmm: As all-ways said these project cars never end LOL. Cheers:- Stuart ( Thomas dad )
  15. Hi there everyone ! haven't posted for a little while now and i know i said maybe in the next post we might have some pics and vid of the little Rolla doing some celebration skids after winning COTY ( Thanks again to all those who voted  were are really stoked) but that hasn't happened yet ( But it will :rocknroll: ). Anyway i come home from work today to find Thomas little Rolla parked in the carport with the bonnet up :hmm: Wife's car gone , Thomas not to be found so i take a look under the bonnet to find oil every where :wtf: only to find it had popped the rocker cover gasket out :( which brings me here to ask all you mechanically minded members out there is this a common thing with the k motors ( remembering this is no stock engine 110rwhp) or is there something else i should be looking for ? have replaced gasket with a new one and all appears fine :y: also got to remember we are having a bloody heat wave up here 40+ deg day after day after day after day (get the picture :bright: ) Yea bloody hot so i was wondering if this might have some influence on it ? which now makes me think we might look at putting an external oil cooler on; what are your thoughts ?. Any insight / information greatly appreciated :hail: thank you. Cheers:- Stuart (Thomas dad ) And Happy New Year to you all
  16. Looking and sounding great fellas keep the great work up :rocknroll: and hopefully not to far from the finish now  it will be a shame to put it out for some track work but that's what its built for so take it out and ENJOY it  look forward to seeing the finished build :) . Well done and keep the pics coming :2thumbs: . Cheers:- Stuart (Thomas dad )
  17. Hi there Thomas little corolla is full mod plated ( $900 )ke11 -5k engine , because it is over 20% increase from factory motor we had to put collapsible steering column / retractable seat belts to all 4 corners / brake upgrade and as there were quite a few other mods ( disc brake rear / manufactured gear box mount / bigger wheels / quad carby's / oil catch can / widened wheel track / coil over front end / adjustable cross member ) just to mention a few we didn't find the engineering all that hard and well worth every cent for the peace of mind knowing that your ride is SAFE and legal. Good luck your build and it is worth doing it right. Cheers:- Stuart
  18. Hi Cleighton willing to sell the whole car except the gear box and we fitted the rear sway bar to Thomas little rolla of it other than that it is a going car , a bit rough in the body but is a restorer . Asking $150 , you can call me on Mob 0428 574248 or home on 03 50 376708. Cheers:- Stuart  And welcome to rollaclub

  21. I"ll have a look tomorrow for you at my KE25 and see if it still has the omf tag still on the fire wall with the code on it for you as mine is an original mandarine colour as well  . Cheers:- Stuart
  22. Cheers:- Stuart ( Thomas dad )
