  1. Hi Darren found the duel master cylinder box it is a IBS brake part, part no IBS-JB1350. IBS/Independent Brake Supplies P/L 6-8 Ruby Street Guildford,NSW 2161. I hope this is of some help for you. Cheers:- Stuart (Thomas dad).
  2. Hi there Darren i will have a look tomorow for you but it was only a generic brand of the shelf but it works real fine and it all passed the engineering with no problems and pulls up no worrys. Cheers:- Stuart (Thomas dad).
  3. Hi there Dougal we used ke38 front brakes (girlok) with early skyline rear disc brakes and duel master cylinder it all works extremely well i hope this is of some help for you and congrats again for CAR OF THE YEAR well done and deserved. Cheers:- Stuart (THomas dad).
  4. Hi there Philby not sure of the brand other than they were double spring with 120lb on the seat but this time my machinest has found some performance single springs he can machine in to the head and still give us around 110-120lb on the seats so we hope this will be the end of our problem. We beleive the reason it lasted this long is that it was only getting spring bind at around 6000rpm on the inner spring and was'nt real bad bind but just enough to hammer the lifters which would have taken the hardnest out of them and the rest is history.(For sale one cam and set of Isky lifters just run in HAHAHA)But as i said erlier we don't quit and i have already pulled the block down cleaned and checked every thing and started to put it back together just got to wait for the new cam & lifters and we will be back in action. Cheers:- Stuart (Thomas dad).
  5. Hi there ;well the first time it totally destroyed the cam lobes and smash the bottom out of the lifters all this while running the new motor in on the dyno would not have done much more than 1hr of running time :bash: :bash: :bash: . This time we have managed around 6-7000km before destroying a full set of Isky lifters(not cheap) and left us trying to work out WHY.After a lot of talking with engine builder and my machinest we think we may have found the problem  it looks like we may have been getting inner valve spring bind possibly at around 5500/6000 rev mark wich would be hammering the lifters to the cam :hammer: with the end result being we won't be making it to Picnic at Hanging Rock this year :lolcry: :lolcry: :lolcry: any way we will keep you all informed as to progress as we move on (we don't QUIT) to much money spent to change paths now :no2: . Cheers:-Stuart (Thomas dad).
  6. Hi there Darren i will try to explain our coilover setup for you. Yes we used the standard KE11 struts /we removed the lower spring hat just above the weld so as the coilover thread had a good base to sit on and weld to and did'nt run the chance of cutting into the strut ,we have used a standard Pedders Gas Comfort Ride shock that we had 70mm turned of the stroke on the lathe to help lower the ride and still keep the springs captive at full stroke. We used the Otomoto coilover kit and camber tops (otomoto.shop033.com) If you still have the original oil filled front shocks you will need to find the large (nut /cap)to hold the shocks in place i hope you unerstand what i mean?.I think there are probaly better camber top around but these ones do the job and as you may have read we have just had the little rolla engineered and had no problems i hope this is of some help for you and good luck with your build. Cheers:-Stuart (Thomas dad) There are pic of the coilovers on page 13 if you havent already seen them.
  7. Well what can i say this time last year we were all ready to cruise to Picnic at Hanging Rock when we had a major engine failure destroying a new cam&lifters well you would'nt beleive it the same f--king problem has happend again. So it brings me to ask if any one else has had this problem 5k engine solid lifter conversionand if so did you find a solution cause this is realy starting to piss me of and is also costing a lot of money any help/info would be much apprciated and yes i've read all the articles on this conversion and havent done anything different so it realy has us stumped. Cheers:-Stuart (Thomas dad).

  14. Hi there all well we didnt make the short list but once again a big thank you to Stu(Kickn5k) for his nomination maybe we should of mentioned it started life as a Ke70 HAHA just joking, maybe try again next year but anyway good luck to DOOGS KE20 and we will keep developing Thomas little beast and keep you all updated. Cheers:-Stuart.
  15. Hi all just a quick update;just spent the last hour pulling Thomas steering column out and the ke20 column will bolt back in the same steering box pattern just need to drill the holes a little bigger. I was able to fit the column bracket of the ke30 column i had here to the under side of the dash with a few modifications(pics to come)only problem is i can't fit the original column shrowd and indicator/light mechanism so looks like i will have to use a ke20 one and modify the shrowd to hide the ignition barrel hole and what ever else is not required any way looks like it is all going to work and should have it out of the shed on the weekend. We will keep you updated with pics of the column change over when completed. Cheers:-Stuart
  16. Hi there Scott thank for your comments i have to agree it looks a lot better with the trims on,our ke20 collapsable steering column turned up today so will be fitting up over the next couple of nights then of to engineers and back on the road so then we can let you all know how well it handles with the rear sway bar we will keep you all posted with info and pics. Cheers:-Stuart.
  17. I think i have fixed the problem i have put the details up on Thomas ride thread TOMMYS KE11 have a look and tell me what you think. Cheers:-Stuart.
  18. Hi there all had a bit a play with Thomas sway bar today and managed to modify it to fit without fouling on the disc brakes by putting it in the press and changing the angle(photos show how much)i also have drawn a picture of what i reacon would be a better design so if any one knows the people from Whiteline it may worth someone having a look(tell me what you think)i have also pre drilled all the side trims just need to pull the inside door & side trims of so i can to all the bolts any way i have put some more photos up for you all to enjoy. Cheers:-Stuart. Pictures 5&6 are on full lock.
  19. You were on to it Dave.We are having the same problem with Thomas swaybar but hopfuly will get it sorted tomorow i will keep you all posted on the results on Thomas thread all the best with yours. We can not blame Whiteline for this problem as they would work fine with stadard drum brakes we just need to sort this out and maybe let Whiteline what they could possibly do to fit disc brake conversions. Cheers:-Stuart
  20. Thanks Stu i hope you like how it is coming along i just finished prepping the stainless trims to put on,RareSpares wanted $10 for 4 clips total $70 so i got some 3sixteen gutter bolts slid them into place held them there with a bit of bluetac then mixed up some PermaWeld, filled around each bolt let it dry then filled the whole back of the trim with silicone so hopfully this should stop any crap building up behind the trim and rusting; anyway all going well tomorow they will be fitted so we will get some more pics up for you all to enjoy(project cars are they ever finished) Cheers:-Stuart
  21. Hi there all just a few random shots for you all to enjoy of the rear sway bar and the under side all cleaned up and repainted.I have removed the front sway bar and are doing some mods to it tomorow to see if i can get it to work without fouling the brakes(i'll keep you updated)and allso fitting up the side moulds.Anayway here are the photos i hope you enjoy. Cheers:-Stuart.
  22. Gotta agree INSANE but looks like a lot of fun. Cheers:-Stuart.
  23. Hi there everyone i hope you all survived the heat wave (45degrees+ bloody hot)up our way (Swan Hill)any way i spent the day working on Thomas little beast. I finally found something good about the TE18 i was able to take the rear sway bar of and fit up to rear end of the ke11, came up a real treat(i'll get Thomas to put photos up)refitted the original front end back on of our donor car just need to turn the camber tops around and wheel alignment.Still waiting for our colapsable steering coloum from Peter Robisons(3 bloody weeks now)then of to the engineers.Tomorow i will try and find some clips so i can fit all the stainless side body trims and then i think ive just about got the little beast done other than i still have to trim out the boot for him but the little rolla is looking real sweet and looking forward to getting it back on the road. Anay way as i said when Thomas gets home i will get him to post some photos for you all to enjoy as i know you all like pics. Cheers:- Stuart.
  24. Hi there Glen great little ride you have there as you probely saw on Thomas ride thread we used kawa900 carbs on his 5k and they work real fine to around 6500revs then start to lean out so we are looking at getting them all rejetted as we beleive there is still more power to gain from his motorheers:- Stuart. but the induction sound is just awesome anyway keep up the good work and we may all catch up on a cruse someday. Cheers:-Stuart.
