I just used good ol' black Sikaflex man! You don't need much... Just a smear in the valley where the glass sits... Leave it over night and it will be sweet :)

Hey man... Got a few pics when I was at HCR working on the Rolla Bus: Here is what I did to the headlight (sorry about the crap pic) And the grill... Can hardly even notice that it as modded! I am getting rid of this grill tho as I broke a few of the clips that hold it on :bash: I have another perfect grill which I am going to do the same to :y:

Slight update: Got two boxes of Dynamat (still waiting on another few obxes yet :bash: ) the other day and today being my day off, did the rear doors! Its already made a difference! Crazy shit! I have already done under the carpet... So that is remaining is the rest of the front doors (had a bit left over from the rears) and the rest of the boot!!! :y:

Hey champ! When I was thinking about the front end of Rolla Bus, I ended up removing the grill and taking off the Toyota badge. Then sent it to a plastic welder to have the hole (left once badge is removed) removed and a straight piece of plastic put in (so it looks like the badge was never there! Once that was done, it was sprayed in a high gloss black... The white plastic of the headlights looked tacky after then... So I warmed up the headlights and removed the glass carefully and painted inside of the headlight plastic black as well!!! Looks really good! could get some close up pics if you like :bash:

Scrubbing on 15s?!?! Wow thats crazy... I used to only just scrub with 18's on mine! May need to roll the inner lip of the gaurds! Have you thought of getting coilovers?

Honestly dude, painting the engine bay is very easy in ae82's ;) Once the engine, carbon canister and loom is out of the way, all that is left to do is mask up the master cylinder + brake lines (just pull them outward from the firewall and a few other bits and pieces!!! Defiantely worth the effort... and 4ac's are easy as to pull out :D Oh yeah, I have a few ae82 interior parts you may be interested in too dude! I found them while I was cleaning out one of my cupboards trying to find a part!!! Ill get some pics for you (things like covered b-pillar plastics etc... that I don't need anymore) Cheers, Moe

For those who are interested heres got a few sample pics of what Ive been doing the last two days ;) Scuff plates: I'm still yet to get the carpet perfect on the rear so I can put the rear ones on... Better shot of the roof lining: Cleaned my origional front seat belts, they will do for now, but I really would like to get some new ones! Also got the B-pillar plastics sorted: And the thing I'm most excited about, the rear seat is in (and rear interior plastics apart from C-pillar) ;) : This is why I didnt want tinted windows :) Got the next two days off of work, so Ill get more done then :yak: 8| (Y) Cheers, Moe

Hey dude :yes: Nice to see another ae82 on here! ae82 have been known for a bit of rust around the petrol cap and behind the rear bar on the passenger side, but damn!!! If you are going to have a crack at it yourself, id be cutting the outer skin around the wheel arch completely off and welding new ones on! ...or as a few other have suggested find a shell with less cancer and transfer everything over (cleaning as you go) :lovin: If you need a help or have any questions on ae82's dude, send me a PM, I know them back to front :D Cheers, Moe

Johno man, yeah that pic you have posted does have the pinch weld there!!! I'm trying to find pinch weld that is a similar colour to the leather or carpet! :lovin: I picked up a few things over the last few days :wave: Here is about 1/3rd of my interior plastics that got professionally coloured the same colour as the leather! I hope to pick more up end of the week so I can start putting it in... And my parcel shelf... Very happy how it turned out :D And I had to see what it looked like in the car >| I also got my boot hinges chromed! Massive thanks to Tas Plating... My 4ac had a 2 and a quart exhaust, with extractors, two hotdogs and a cannon muffler! Damn shame I didnt join up here earlier! I sold my 4ac and everything with it for $550 :P Full jetted carb, one off ground stage 3 crow cam, big bore, oversides pistons, flowed and matched head etc...! I spent a fortunte on it... THEN I found 4agze goodness hehe

haha exactly man :lolcry: Why the hell not :( Well, I put a few hours in last night and this morning and got the carpet in :lolcry: I still need to trim up the sides (near the doors) and a few other bits and pieces, but it gives you an idea of what it looks like... For some reason the pics have come out very dark, but the carpet is a much lighter colour in real life... And here is a quick pic of the new roof lining ;) Fingers crossed I will be able to pick up my interior plastics from getting coloured and order some new pinch weld tomorrow and really get cracking on the interior :) Cheers guys, Moe

Yeah dude your eyes are seeing right :( It sits much lower in the rear once the boot install is back in... But I am getting ISC coilovers for it, so fingers crossed it will be tucking rim hard ;) Yeah man, seems to fit ok... I'm going to have a good go at it this week, so Ill give you an exact answer soon :)

I got some new carpet for my ae82 thru http://www.knoxautocarpets.com.au/toyota.htm and they are awesome to go thru and fitment is fair damn good (for $175 or so)... Should get a big Corolla meet going on sometime! haha well done dude...
