Well, I have just concluded that it does come in 3's Decided this morning to take the carby off to fix it cause the base was loose, got it done rather quickly and took it for a test lap around the yard, once confident it would get me back home, I decided to take it for a burl down the street, came back, pulled up, left the motor running and looked under the bonnet, I then heard this sizzling sound which I soon discovered was oil leaking from my tappit cover, I then proceded to back it back into the shed to take it off clean it up and bolt it back down, yet again, took it for a strap around the yard, then I took it down the road and back, for some reason I decided to give it some more stick around the yard just having fun, then I felt this hot sensation on my foot, water pissing out of my heater box, YAY!!! ANOTHER PROBLEM TO FIX!! :D

Umm, is that dual exhaust or dual torpedo tubes?

Performance is practically the same, just the thing won't idle, and surges (probably that 4th cylinder kicking in)

Much easier starting off with an AE71 to be honest, but by no means impossible to get a KE70 up to speed, just takes a bit of time, money and elbow grease..

My car sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders on the way home, but at least it got me home, lucky its a Toyota or I'd be getting towed home, engine bay resembled the titanic after I got home, hit so many huge puddles of water and went it submarine style, came close to hitting a tree that had fallen across one road, owned my suspension on so many pot holes, just about lost control at 60km/hr hitting a puddle, so yeah, my ride home was fun..

Probably equates to somewhere near the volume of an olympic swimming pool.. :dry:

Well, went to leave for work this morning and the car stalled twice just backing it out of the garrage, normally it just goes even when its cold so I thought this was quite odd, after pulling up at the lights at Carseldine, I noticed that it sounded as if it was running on 3 or less cylinders, Idling up and down sounding like it would stall out at low revs, then I noticed it starting to surge when I backed off the accelerator, all I can put it down to so far is water over something electronic, I went through that much rain on the way home lastnight it must have got on something.. anyway, should get me home no problems till I can find out whats going on.

I'm pissed off about it, but theres not much i can do, damage has been done, might see about getting a dentless guy to fix it, i think i got out of it pretty lucky considering, should have seen this echo that was parked on the driveway at work yesterday morning after it happened, she was hammered bad..

Worst part of the car is the boot, it got owned big time, 11 cracker hits, 3 or so in the roof yet none on the bonnet? did someone say "act of god"...

Storm went for the best part of 1/2hr, major hail ownage.. After the first one backed off a tad went out for an inspection, appears i may be quite lucky, but won't know till i give the old girl a cut and polish..

Yeah, shed has to be cleared for my 21st, so its got to get rolling soon.. This empty engine bay will be transformed :D
