Yeah its pretty f@$ked up, just got confirmation that my mate over there is ok, what they prove by doing this shit has got me...

Normally an auto choke carby has 2 wires, one is the fuel solenoid, the other is power to heat up an element to open the choke, could possibly be why its idling high (engine is cold and choke isn't opening).. connect both wires to the same power source (ignition switched 12v) and i would assume that could fix your problem..

Just don't let them see your hand held programmer, hide the ecu out of sight and it should all be good, apart from that yes, the ecu has to be locked to be legal and also pass the emission laws..

Better not tempt Matt or a certain KE70 might lose its upright kit :P
