I think if someone is up to it, make a thorough '7k conversion" write up, with pics etc. I guess this will save most of the repetitive questions that keep poping up. Just my 2c Doug

BAHAHAHA!! :cool: I'm sorry i had to laugh. :y: Yea because its and old moter it has rusty shit in it, thus turning the water poo brown, when the water drys up the rusty shit is left. :y:

The first good run with this motor in, it got hot and lost water, so went back to old radiator, new thermostat etc. But then still ran on ocation, so pressure tested it, still nothing. Seems it only leaked on ocation, but as soon as it started to leak it would PISS out! but i could still not find the leak for 2 months. until dad used the pressure tester at his work and finally found it.

cheapest 5k so far is an import for $950 and 7ke $1400 The 7k from dry creek, was just the block and head, no manifold, mounts etc, still interested though If i were to bye a 7k would someone in Adelaide be interested in giving me a hand to modify the sump etc?

I have found one that is cheap ish. But it has no manifold and engine mounts. As i have said before people have different opinions on what will fit. So can i use standard 'k' mounts? And by my understanding the inlet manifold is the same as other 'k' except the 7ke is different. is this true?

I am looking into byeing a 7k for my KE30 I have read through a couple of threads on 7k's and have not found too much information about HOW to modify the sump. Another thing is, most people say that you CAN NOT fit any other sump on (from other k moters), but them you get some people that say "i have a 3k sump un my 7k" WTF is it possible or not? if so, what do you need to modify the 3k sump? If i do end up byeing one is there anyone in adelaide willing to help me out? Cheers Doug

Ohhhww I wont be driving my rolla, as i have had to take the 5k out as the block is leaking like a sive. so i need a new one. :y: So hope to see some other rollas on friday :hmm: Cheers Douggeh

Car is curently off the road :y: It seems that my 5k has had the welsh plugs replaced at one point, but they got replaced with one that are too big, (thats what dad said) and the have cracked the block. and is pissing out water. So now i need another 5k, or a ready to use 7k, have started a WTB.
