A) I don't call myself straight edge anymore because I am under 18 so I'm just abiding the law. B) I don't preach my beliefs to others. I think that's wrong and something I hate being done to me. I'll say I think people are immature and shit for thinking their the toppest shit in the world for getting absolutely trashed every weekend, but that's more about their mentality than the actual drinking. C) I don't care if others drink, like you said, every one has the freedom of choice. But there are certain limits and situations where they're just doing it to be "cool" where I think its just stupid and immature. But I don't have a go at people for it and I don't like them any less, sure sometimes I'll judge them for their behaviour eg getting trashed coz its "cool", but I won't respect them or their opinion any less. D) It's not sex in general, its promiscuous sex, meaning having sex with lots of different people. Having sex with one person is fine. I don't see that as missing out. E) I have a friend who used to do drugs and started smoking at the age of nine. Then she turned straight edge, I didn't love her any less becasue of her past substance abuse. And I have many friends who drink and do drugs to high heaven, and I don't love them any less, as long as they don't go overboard when I'm around, which upsets me, not make me hate them. I don't know if your comment was directed at me personally or just anyone who is straight edge, but that is my defence.

Last night I went to bed and my entire body was itchy. This morning I woke up with patches of huge mosquito bite looking rashes everywhere. It looks like I'm covered in cellulite. Eww. Also, now that I've been driving my car coz I got my P's and its registered I've been noticing absolutely everything thats wrong with it. Fuel filter leak, main seal leak, incredibly high revving [we're changing the diff over one day], hole in the fuel filter hose [fixed :P], its missing, my door hinge is sagging, my front shockers have carked it, I have an air leak somewhere in the drivers door so it sounds like the window is wide open constantly, the poor thing is just falling to bits :P. Its just coz it hasn't really been driven much since we got it and now it just needs all the attention you have to give a car as soon as you buy it [even though we've had it about a year :bash:]. Hopefully the mum's bf will get some time between now and the birthday cruise to fix it all :lol: I would do it, but they won't let me :P

I'm straight edge because of what I beleive in. No one else I know is. I just think drinking and drugs etc is a waste of money, its dangerous, it can humiliate people and thoroughly degrade them (they get recognised for the next five years as "the girl who got heaps wasted and vomitted all over that random guy she was f@$king"), and I just see it as a pointless thing for small minded people to waste the boring part of their lives doing. A lot of people do it just coz everyone else is and they think it'klll make them "cool". I have been tipsy once, I had a lot of alcohol and it didn't affect me very much at all. I was about thirteen, it was the first time I had actually drunk alcohol and after a lot moire drinks than my friends I felt the same, I acted the same, it didn't affect me at all. And then my friend (who was very drunk) almost fell in a fire and almost got raped by this 18 year old. Luckily she had me to save her from both of those happening. I don't like the idea of being out of control of myself or having poor judgement, and I don't liek going to parties where everyone is drunk and no one can do anything if something goes wrong. Like on the weekend I was at a party and I was the only one who was able to drive to go pick this girl up who was at a party and was heaps scared. If I hadn't had my P's she would have been stuck there all night and who knows what would've happened to her? I don't care about people drinking, as long as they don't go overboard or actually do it because they generally like it, without getting full on wasted. Smoking I can handle if they don't blow smoke in everyone's faces, and drugs I just can't stand at all, but I think a lot of people understand that one. I'm straight edge because I don't like the effect drugs, alcohol, smoking and promiscuous sex have on people, families and relationships. I've lost a lot of friends due to all this crap, and it effects morre than just the person doing it. I have a friend who is bipolar and her whole life fell apart as soon as one of her brothers picked up a bong. Her whole family is into drugs and shit except her and they are constantly high and abusive. I don't know how many times she's been in hospital due to abuse from her family or suicide attempts because of that abuse and their drug use. I understand that I'm mainly opposed to the abuse of these alcohol and stuff, because I can handle it if people just drink a bit after work to relax and on a friday night with a few mates, that's fine with me, as long as they don't get absolutely hammered. And I just don't want to drink or do drugs or sleep around. And that is the main reason I'm straight edge.

That's what sucks about my school, we already have no uniform and its in town, so who wants a sausage sizzle when there's Macca's and Hungry's everywhere. Sad really. Although we have valtentine's day cupcakes and chocolates for sale to raise money :dance: only about $1200 has been raised so far though, but that's still not bad considering my old school raised $200 at the most each casual day.

I was watching it on the news last night and I was like "I wonder what the people who started it are thinking right now? How would they feel?" Are they enjoying it? Or are they sitting there trying to find some way to help to fix it? Who knows what their mentality is like, they could be doing anything right now. My love and condolences go out to everyone who has been deeply affected by this tragedy, and I'm so amazed at how much money and clothes etc have been donated. Hopefully soon it'll be enough to get these people back on their feet.
